I bought the SylvanSport Go camper and will be trying it out for the first time in a couple of weeks! I have set it up a couple of times in my driveway and I’m here to tell you it is extremely easy to set up and take down. Customer service at SylvanSport is amazing as well!
I’m just amazed by the Alto and how no other camper comes close. All aluminum construction, enclosed toilet and shower with the fixed roof version, panoramic windows, beautiful to look at ... and totalweight under 2000 lbs. Tough to beat!
Of all the units in this video the travel trailer from Safari is by far the best deal. They are well known with a long track record of high quality craftmanship. I think in fact it was also the least expensive unit on the list but the only one with everything indoors. The fixed roof variation of the Alto is about 28K USD which compared to everything else on this list is the deal of the century. You can also get it in a 21ft version for about $34k USD. The pricing on some of the pop up units in this list were mind boggling.
I like the second one. I can see myself towing that behind a big dodge truck with a northern star camper already in the bed. That way I have my private studio and the main house all in tow and ready to go.
Saw an Alto setup next to me. It really is one of the best designed travel trailers / tear drops / camping trailers every. Built in bathroom, easy to setup, and very light weight. Its 20k, but all Al construction means it will last a lot longer then a fiberglass popup. If it was just my wife and 1 kid its what I would have bought (except I have 3 kids, so its never going to work for us).
I like all of your selections. It's great that there are so many price ranges so that anyone can afford a well-designed camper/tent trailer/ Personally, I like no. 9. Light weight and variable capabilities are great. Your no. One is a great choice, if you can afford it. I saw one on RUclips that was $95,000.00! I don't blame anyone for taking a gulp on that. It is an amazing home -on-wheels, though!
While I like #1, my favorite is #3 which was also designed here in Australia & has been sold for quite a few yrs now as the T-van with significant innovative improvements over that time! However, the Stockman Pod Off Road Camper Trailer is a far more affordable trailer to not only buy, but also to tow, as the lightweight design incorporates a galvanised frame (with optional off-road suspension) utilising a recycled PET plastic tub & lockable lid! Other optional extras are water-tank, drawbar-storage, different tent arrangements, slide-out kitchen, racks, etc.
MrWombatty As a 4 x 4 enthusiast and about to be committed overlander/expeditioner, I agree with your point, so this is not a counterpoint but an extrapolated comment...There are many good trailers out there, and some very good ones as well...However, as anyone who has traversed Austrailia, Africa, or the entirety of the US, only a very FEW trailers will do for unlimited overlanding...The Bruder EXP6 is one of the few...It has almost bulletproof chassis, suspension and overall build...Imagine having to have a trailer that could go to all the places a that only a Toyota LC or Defender or Hilux could go...It would have to be a phenomenal piece of machinery...Affording the Bruder, well, that's another post to say the least....But German engineered, hand-built in Australia and tested in the harshest Australian terrain make it unmatched in its offroad capabilities.
Good quality video. You might retitle the video along the lines of the “most expensive”, coolest campers. Christ, 53k for a pop up? Out of my league, still fun watching what rich people can buy.
No.6 ( the Lumberjack Glenaire ) is an Australian designed and manufactured trailer . All of our prices are in AUD not USD so its actually cheaper for the US market. We at the moment have no presence in the US but we are looking at and would be interested in talking to any company who is willing and able to distribute our product into the US. Please contact us through our website . Thanks for the review !
Would be tough to do that and somehow turn a profit. You would have to change the voltage and replace all the electrical outlets (US outlets have completely vertical plugs, Australian outlets are tilted at a 20-degree angle). At 230V, you would need a power converter to reduce the output 50%! Also, owners would have to buy a whole set of metric size wrenches for adjustments if they don't have one. They might also have to sacrifice as much as possible to avoid the biggest problem: finding parts for Australian appliances such as the refrigerator.
Not wanting to come off like a D bag, but, after sowing #10 you said that if we thought the price was a bit high you could recommend some tent videos. But that is what you had here. Numbers 3 through 10 were tents mounted to trailers.
I love the last one! The Bruder is the one for me! Just wondering since Bears is a concern while asleep. Can a slight electrical charge on the body of the Cab be installed to safeguard against predators? Just asking :)
i have a question.. i want to build my own . can anyone point me toward a single source where I can buy all kinds of quality modular equipment, appliances and accessories??
Hey guys great video. I love this channel. I was hoping you could make a top 10 best truck bed campers soon??? I'm looking into buying 1 and you guys do such a good job on this vids I really think it would not only a really cool video but real helpful to me. Keep up the great work , You guys are the best!!!
I like the second place one. We have a 17 ft 2015 hideout trailer. We converted the queen bed to 2 twins ( I shortened the first twin bed so it would not be in the way when you enter trailer) We have sway bars, distribution bars, and electric jack, inverter with its own battery, and generator with built in inverter solar power panels. This is our first trailer, we use to tent, I hated it, I am not a fan of fifth wheel, as did not want to put holes in truck and loose that space too. Not a fan of too long as hard to get places, don't want a tow vehicle. If and when we pick our forever trailer, I am torn between airstream and a 25ft with one slide. My only complaint is set up and take down, and it is not a tent. We just got back from a 4 night trip to Maine, and had a great time, seems to be a lot of red ants, so we have those ant baits. And I clean a lot. Water pressure is not good, working on that. Well, that is my camping story, and I loved your video of compact tent trailers. Because, compact, means less gas use.
Have you ever thought of doing a video on campers that can be pulled behind a motorcycle or a twike, this is something I would be really interested in seeing
How about a video of trailers that cost less than a tiny house does? I mean seriously $46,000! For a camp trailer?! You might as well throw in an earthroamer while you’re at it. I don’t want to get a 2nd mortgage just to get a camp trailer
Prepperjon I absolutely agree! These companies are way to proud of there little trailers where you could buy a Tiny House with so much more for those prices easily.
A couple of things to keep in mind here...A few of these travel trailers were designed not for the rich, but for those who are committed overlanders/expeditioniers...If you are looking to travel the entirety of the US, Africa or Australia (or all), most (99%) of available trailers simply won't do...A lot of terrain would eat a Starcraft in very short order...We're talking about taking a trailer that requires a SERIOUS 4 x 4 rig to get to, hence, you must have an extreme trailer to make it...Those trailers are for a very particular crowd of whom many don't own homes but are traveling the majority of the year...We all spend our money somewhere or another.
Freedom Rider hoping you realize your explanation is rediculous. Not for the rich, but for people that don't own homes and travel most of the year? You can't suggest an argument that contradicts itself.
? Do you have a .com ? I have a 96Chevy diesel 8ft. Want a camper for it, isn't there some thing better than the old over the cab. Wind Wall design. I've even tried to design one, since I can hardly find the usual ones even. Thanks !!!
I in love with the conqueror uev 490 it's a beast the suspension is kick ass and it's the perfect size for going off the grid. I'm sold to me this one is number off road trailer for people going off the grid . Your number pick ok but I think it's too big.
So if I think 50 thousand dollars is too high, you will recommend some tents? 50 grand for a 19 foot soft shelled top trailer. Financial shaming...who knew it could be done while looking at trailers I can't afford for a vacation I'll never take, but at least I could qualify for a consolation tent video.
Oh I don't think he was being serious. Maybe lighten up a bit, he works for beer and pizza after all and can't even afford a tent. If that comment made you feel that way I'm sorry, but that's taking a joke and making it something it wasn't.
Actually, he just told me he wasn't joking. He was trying to be accomadating by offering a more affordable camping solution in another video. So, to be clear, you are highly offended he suggested a more affordable solution to those who can't afford a 50k camper?
@@mindseyedesign well let's see I've got over about four times I fail to see the humor in that, I don't even see it as sarcasm. It's just a rude fucking comment. Why don't you just fess up and say oh sorry everybody that was rude. Or would you rather stick to your guns and insist you're right at all costs? Or maybe I'm wrong. If so I apologize. I have no problems apologizing when I am wrong.
I love the Alto, but don’t think it’s heavy duty enough for disbursed camping. I can realistically see why anyone would pay $50K for a pop up camper. At lest the Alto is $30K with no tent walls.
its not intended to be a heavy duty off the beaten trail unit, but I think on their website they do offer a lifted suspension package from what i recall.
The 1st one was the TYPE I would buy Because the AUSTRALIAN know how 2 build a camper better than US FROM THE USA .. I found there Pop Up campers look n can do more than ours it sad but it's TRUE btw ... Plus U can go OFF ROAD n I love OFF ROADING my self lol ... I have a 3500 HD SIVERADO WTH A 6.6 ALLISON TRANSMISSION DIESEL
These are all very cool, but way out of my price range. I'd love to see a video with the best used pop up campers under $10,000, minimum two queen beds.
I’ve seen your number 10 up close and personal and I don’t quite see what you obviously saw in it. I’d say at a base price of 53K it’s only about 18-20K (on the low side) overpriced. But hey for an aluminum box with a pop up tent and you have way more money than good sense I guess it’s a bargain! Interesting fun and informative video for the outdoor enthusiast.

Kimberleykamper and Holtkamper are two of my favourites in the pop-up category

I like 1 and 2. Both look roomy, but yet small enough to tow with an SUV.
Saw an Alto setup next to me. It really is one of the best designed travel trailers / tear drops / camping trailers every. Built in bathroom, easy to setup, and very light weight. NUMBER 3 COMES REAL CLOSE TO PERFECT FOR ME!!

No.1 is certainly, my favourite!
Love the camper at the #2 spot!
Nice pics. BUT Way more expensive than I expected, especially since many of them don't appear to have any sort of commode.
I like number one actually fits me well and it was great
They are pretty cool for sure. Good finds.
Good video, I have always enjoyed camping in pop up campers.
SÜPER 👍👍👍👍👍
Ok that alto is probably zombie proof and the last one too, and again awesome.
Make more for motorcycle campers please ! Loved the one from Australia.
While I like #1, my favorite is #3 which was also designed here in Australia & has been sold for quite a few yrs now as the T-van with significant innovative improvements over that time!

Bruder Expedition EXP-6 is a extreme camper rig!
Good quality video.
You might retitle the video along the lines of the “most expensive”, coolest campers. Christ, 53k for a pop up? Out of my league, still fun watching what rich people can buy.
Giving weights on each camper would be helpful
I love no.1 and would gladly tow this anywhere stay safe from Scotland

largol33t1
Lots of aussie manufacturers have done that.
Yup, definetly the right one that ended on top!

Makes wonder how Beer safe these camper's are, Considering all the foods in the same area.
I love the last one! The Bruder is the one for me! Just wondering since Bears is a concern while asleep. Can a slight electrical charge on the body of the Cab be installed to safeguard against predators? Just asking :)
Great stuff! Not in this lifetime for me, but it’s good to know these options are out there for those who can afford them.
Buy a tent then😂😂😂
The Patriot x1 won camper of the year 5 years in a row in Australia no mention here
Hard to pick a favorite... the conquerer is a beast & a dream pick for overlanding and back road camping though!
One of each please lol let’s go...
Love #1 it would work great in the mountains where I go
All of these have unique features. The question becomes, are all of them available in the US?
I was excited about the Patriot X1 & X2 from Australia
I like the Alto small easy to pull and cheep.
Love number 1 and 2
I liked the Alto, seemed to be overall clean looking and affordable
The Bruder now has a single axle version as well.......👍
What about the air opus off-road?
This is the best twin axle camper trailer on the market ! If you got a trophy truck your making bank high priced Hollywood!!
NUMBER 2 IS MY CHOICE OUT OF THE TEN. REALLY NICE
#1 was the show stopper
Very cool and fun to dream about them . The Brudder being towed by a 8 wheeled Earthroamer what combo together
You guys have a lote good stuff I going to a roof top think you for your time
I like the last one the best
Love our Alto!
Great video about campers and price, which is strange for most advertizers. Thank you.
Nice to see this video I rather sleep in the car.
I love your videos as I am and have been researching for a more simple affordable way of living ....
Loved them all my magnificent faves are 1,2 8
I really liked the Allto trailer. If I could only afford one.
i have a question.. i want to build my own . can anyone point me toward a single source where I can buy all kinds of quality modular equipment, appliances and accessories??
Error at 6:45 The refrigerator DEFINITELY does NOT have a 700 liter capacity, as this corresponds to 24.7 cubic feet
Thanks for the heads up!
Hey guys great video. I love this channel. I was hoping you could make a top 10 best truck bed campers soon??? I'm looking into buying 1 and you guys do such a good job on this vids I really think it would not only a really cool video but real helpful to me. Keep up the great work , You guys are the best!!!
We did make that video per your request. Thanks for watching!
wow.....sticker shock!
#2 and #3 are most interesting to me for simplicity and price. But then again, I have never been much of a camper. These might change my mind.
This works for me
I would love to own Any of these campers.what great minds these designers must have.great videos.jx.u.k..
Can I get the tent recommendations since I can't afford 50 grand?
the sniper x enhanced should be on this top 10
Great video. 1 & 2 are amazing
Are you kidding me?? The best one was the Safari Condo. All the others were for guys.
We thought about a few of these before going with a Toyota dolphin. It's not much for off road though
Have you ever thought of doing a video on campers that can be pulled behind a motorcycle or a twike, this is something I would be really interested in seeing
👍👍Thank you! Thank you!

Prepperjon I haven't seen much on here that my 97 Starcraft can't do. And only paid $1000 for it.

Freedom Rider kinda like saying Bentleys arent just for the rich
Electronics and offroad does not combine... if there is a manuel version of the Bruder Expedition, that's the way to go. ;)
Yes atto light teardrop I love that one I would like to know how I can own one of them
Check the description below the video for links to websites. Thanks for watching!
How much did it cost to get Tim McGraw to narrate this?
I Love the #1 the best of your list because U don't have 2 do a whole lot when U want 2 go to sleep and does it have a " JON " ???
I enjoyed it.. the campers shown are very expensive. They are cool
Love all of them but do you know of any bike towed
California prices, right?
I need one that is able to keep me warm in the winters/-40-60
Good video
any available discounts?
Lovely
Can you do small pop up campers with bathroom? Pretty much like the tipoon type, if you know of any
? Do you have a .com ? I have a 96Chevy diesel 8ft. Want a camper for it, isn't there some thing better than the old over the cab. Wind Wall design. I've even tried to design one, since I can hardly find the usual ones even. Thanks !!!
These prices are stupid unless your the person not paying for it, just borrow (or hire) a second hand 4wd campervan.
Conqueror are the only African trailer / caravan here. Proudly made in South Africa.
I LIKE THE BRUDER EXPEDITION EXP-6 DOES IT COME WITH A SHOWER
Stayo Tsari Yes, and a toilet and a washing machine, and a 600W solar panel, and the best chassis and suspension you could buy.
I in love with the conqueror uev 490 it's a beast the suspension is kick ass and it's the perfect size for going off the grid. I'm sold to me this one is number off road trailer for people going off the grid . Your number pick ok but I think it's too big.
Great informative video
Is there any camper that fits cold conditions of snow?!
bruder 6 or 4.They have many customers in Siberia.
Yes that’s the one I want too buy
Katsy, you are the most interesting part of the video
Can u do one on campers under 20k
Love these vids
great video
I love anything that has wheels I am an rv lover camper lover car lover plane I’m just an anything on wheels lover!
alto safari is super nice but need the wet bath
So if I think 50 thousand dollars is too high, you will recommend some tents? 50 grand for a 19 foot soft shelled top trailer.
