  • We all know the tried-and-true power converter/breaker/fuse box scenario that North American RVers have used for years. Sure, they now auto-detect and optimize for Lithium-Ion battery technology, but not much else has changed in the power conversion, management, and distribution area beyond nods to modern battery technologies and solar power generation. Well, BMPro in Australia has a few gadgets that do the power thing a little bit differently, and they've been serving the hard-core campers of the outback for a time.
Check out the features of the BMPro BatteryPlus35-II-HA, RVView2
12V Battery Monitor, MinBoost DC to DC Charger, and the BC300 Smart Shunt.

the majority of LifePo4 batteries include a BMS. The only brand name battery I can think of which doesn't is one of the Victron LifePo4 product lines. Appreciate your content and time but I feel it's important to be clear and honest with those who are not experienced on this topic. Cheers

Thanks for the help! Yep, we’re trying to get things right in these videos. Our shop still runs across early-generation Lithium batteries in RVs when they come in for various work and maintenance. The new stuff pretty much all has built in BMS, with a random outlier, exactly as you’ve said. Some of the older batteries we see came from the Wild West era when the tech was newer and developing for RV applications, and they may still be out there for a while with their longer lifespans, if maintained well. If a lithium battery user comes in with a Victron or an older, internet-purchased budget battery with no BMS, they can consider if this equipment will meet their needs and application. Thank you so very much for the assist. It’s tough to think of all the things that need to be said and how best to say them. I appreciate that it helps me to improve as we make and share these video projects.

@@PrincessCraftAppreciate the explanation, over here in OZ I'd say that the exclusion of a BMS within lifepo4 batteries is uncommon hence my surprise when I heard your comment. Cheers.
