    Shawn, that LSL with the Lollars is just a killer sounding guitar, every time I hear it! Looks like that Ampete is perfect for what you do.

      Thanks Harold! I've been using Lollars for years now. Love all of their pickups and that LsL is a good strat indeed.

    Great demo! I like your chops and licks, but most all of all I like your ampcollection. Makes me a kind of jealous. ;-)

    Problem is: the more I go through Amps/cabs/pedals/ settings, I tend to spend my time tweaking rather than playing. I came down to one amp (don't laugh), a pedal board cut down to the essential: tuner, comp, Od, delay, trem (the excellent T-Rex Tremster), boost/dist and a BBS Sonic stomp to which I recently added the Keeley double Tracker 30MS for chorus/lush sounds. A TC Sentry takes care of getting rid of unwanted noises. Settings are pretty simple, I rely on my volume knob for varying tones. Last, I have two 1x12 cabs that I can switch, stack or play side to side for maximum flexibility. Speakers are Celestions G12T75 and G12M65 Creamback. With this setup, I do pretty much everything I need… ;-)

      I totally get it and am glad you're able to get your sounds sorted and simplified. I would never take all of those amps out with me on a gig but for session work the switcher is invaluable because it allows me to quickly choose an amp before I even think about an OD or Dist pedal.

      Shawn Tubbs Yep, once you got it all set, it's a great solution. Cheers bro: you're one of my guitar heroes (no kidding !) \m/

    Informative video Shawn! Question: Can you break down your delay setting for us? How many milliseconds is it?/ how many repeats?/ in the loop or straight in? etc... It sounds so great as a "glue" delay that doesn't get in the way.

      Thanks Joe, the delay you're hearing is just one of my stock Avid plugin digital delays. I usually have it set at around 200-225 milliseconds and I just darken up the repeats. I set the feedback so it will only trail for about 3 repeats. I do same thing with any delay I use be it a stomp box digital delay or a plugin.

    Just amazing man. Your playing is inspiring as always! thank you for all you do (even if you get paid for it you still do it wayyy better than others that get paid to do it). You should totally do a collaboration video with some other RUclips guys! Especially Mataeus Asato! I think I spelled that right, anyway god bless man and keep bringing the chops!

    Great Demo - as always!!! my question is: did you use the same speaker/cabinet for all amps? Which speaker/cabinet was it? it sound so good with all the amps!!!

      Thanks very much! I used the Universal Audio OX box. The cab I used was the 4x12 "Thick Cab" with the Royer R-121 and Shure SM57 mic combo.

    Hello sir! Have you tried using your Ampete with your Suhr Reactive Load IR as well? I currently am trying to use a competition product to Ampete with my Suhr Reactive Load and I’m getting a weird oscillating noise. Trying to see if my amp switcher just doesn’t play nice with Suhr Reactive or vice versa? Sorry for long question. Thanks!

      I haven't had any issues with the Suhr RL IR and the ampete at all.

    Awesome. Were these amps all run through the ox then and no cab? If so would you mind sharing some general settings for the ox setup that works for all these heads?

      Thanks, Jay. I was using the OX 4x12 GB 25 Thick cab with a Royer 121 and 57 .

    What do you do about routing fx since this unit has no fx loop like the 444?

    • @ShawnTubbs
      @ShawnTubbs  4 года назад

      I don't really use FX loops very much so it wasn't a concern for me.

      I saw someone on RUclips showing his home studio rig and he had all the amps fx loops routed to what looked like a patchbay..... would that work or am I missing something from what I saw?

    • @ShawnTubbs
      @ShawnTubbs  4 года назад +1

      @@antonioandrade1211 I would think that could be done.

      @vincent33195 4 года назад

      I think that was Pete Thorn’s video. He uses a patch bay but I don’t think it was necessarily for the loop. I might be remembering that incorrectly but definitely check out his video if it’s not the one you saw already @antonioandrade. Great vid @shawntubbs - these aren’t easy to find. I think Dave can get them. I need to get my hands on one.
