@@zachreacts6940 I am not comparing them with Extol. I just think that there are some riffs and vocals in this song that sound like Extol. There is nothing wrong about it.
This was definitely the fastest preorder I've ever done. It's amazing to see you guys back together after all these years (and to hear that you haven't lost your touch either!). Personally, Becoming The Archetype was a big part of my youth so thank you for the great albums you've provided us through the years. Judging by the absolutely fantastic singles you've released so far, I'm sure Children Of The Great Extinction will be one of my favorite albums ever.
Have been jamming Becoming the Archetype for a couple years now almost daily (old stuff to now). This song slays. As a Veteran, marathon runner, artist, and a person who has worked every day outside this summer in the 100 degree Texas heat will only say that I wish this song was 5-10 minutes longer…am thinking Led Zeppelin status. Pour out the FIRE 🔥 in Jesus mighty name, for such a time as this!!! Need something to paint to. Thank you guys God Bless
***to clarify meant Led Zeppelin’s “Kashmir” song 🎵 or perhaps 🤔 Norma Jean’s “Pretty Soon Something Is Going To Happen” or even Neurosis’s Times of Grace Album. This Song is epic, more please 😎
Loved this one guys! Loved the intro, everything about it, especially the foreboding tone. Loved the message. The first part of the song seems like it was written in the perspective of Christ and the Holy Spirit coming to earth to fulfill their "critical operation" and touches upon the resistance met along the way. The second part seems to infer: accepting the conviction of the Holy Spirit; depicting Christ as the reluctant soul, the only one who resisted the radiation (sin); humanity accepting Christ and staying the course to finish the race. The only part that has me scratching me head is, "Since it was outlawed no one even has even tried." Anyway, this is just a surface level analysis, from my personal perspective. All I can say is brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. I'm not exaggerating when I say, so far, this is my favorite song of 2022. God bless.
Brother let me send you a BIG HUGH I like how deeper you look at it, pretty sure the Holy One used you to share your perspective... honestly I was looking for some kind of analysis and you did awesome!
I feel like the lyrics of christian bands nowadays have become so vague and devoid of anything christian related. I'm not trying to shame but like if you have the title of "christian" then own it in your music and dont be afraid to speak your beliefs. Like satanic bands are more outspoken about their beliefs then the majority of christian bands...its really sad
I feel this about a lot of bands, but not BTA. At least, not as a whole. Idk what the full story will be on this concept album. It may become clearly Christian by the end or maybe not. But this is a band that literally has a hymn in their library (How Great Thou Art), and songs that are blatantly Christian, like the ending to the Physics of Fire album where they say that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Now, BTA has never had consistently blatant lyrics like, say, Wolves At The Gate, but they’ve never shied away from their faith. Even in songs like Ransom, even though they don’t say “Jesus” it’s clear the song is about Jesus defeating death. Anyway, if you want some suggestions of some awesome metal bands with obvious Christian lyrics, I’d like to suggest bands like Renascent and Grave Declaration. Also, one of my favorite bands is Hope For The Dying. Sure, some of their songs are about encouragement and not strictly religious, but they have their songs that have obvious Christian meaning, like their song Orison (really the whole Dissimulation album is quite clearly Christian and is my favorite album).
@@HellHathNoFuryAtAll8 I thought your name looked familiar and then you mention "orison" and I was sure it was you lol. You recommended them to me about 2 weeks ago in another comment lol I really enjoyed it and the hymn BTA made was also great. I also checked out their song "end of the age" which is my new fav by them. My point was not trying to shame them per se but just an observation that many bands that start out screaming jesus name at their begining tend to slowly whisper his name and become very vague as they release more songs. their lyrics shift from the gospel to just a positive uplifting message about love or encouragement
@@derick1991 yeah, that’s fair. I’m not a fan of that trend either. Haha I didn’t even catch your username, but I’m glad you liked the song I recommended.
@@derick1991 oh, I’ve also been finding music I never knew existed lately. I’ll throw out another recommendation. Check out On Eagle’s Wings by Ecthirion.
I don’t know. I enjoy albums even if they’re not openly Christian. If they tell an ennobling story, if they ponder thoughtful questions, they can be very edifying. Look at JRR Tolkien. He was not a writer of allegory like his friend CS Lewis, but his work is still deeply insightful and illustrative of profound truths.
Each new track just builds more and more hype. BTA does not miss. So glad I pre-ordered that vinyl, the album release can't come soon enough.
Some Extol vibes in this song, I like it!
I said the same thing when I heard it! Love the orchestrals too!
This is good but I wouldnt even compare it to Extol, they are on a whole different level.

I think it was Seth that said that he's a fan of Extol. So no real surprises there.
My prayers have been answered, BTA IS BACK BABY!!!

The boys are back, baby! Looking forward to this album release.
So excited for this album. The songs released so far are fantastic.
If the entire album maintains the level of artistry shown so far, this might beat out Oh, Sleeper’s Bloodied/Unbowed.
This is pretty good. I must own.
Someone has been listening to some old Extol! Dang, this is good! Keep up the good works sirs.
We need the album 🤘🤟
August 26

Man, these guys just know how to flex their sound so well, blending styles of metal while making it sound absolutely S I C K

After this heater of a record, folks better get their paws on one of the last few copies on vinyl. It’s almost sold out! So stoked for this record!
Let's go!
Great song but I wish this one was straight screaming to maintain that Terminate vibe.

Might be the first good thing solid state has released in several years.
