Thank you! I needed this video to replace my cluster in my Impala.
I need help I can remove my cluster because blue green thing that is attached is so hard to get off
Great video hoss!
I kept doing the pause/un-pause method, watching you then doing the same step.
Thanks again!
Thanks again for the video. I removed the panel in my 2005 Impala LS yesterday, stripped the instrument cluster and replaced all six stepper motors along with five of the bulbs. Because of your thorough instructions the job was trouble free and totally successful. I shudder to think how much panel replacement at my garage would have cost me. I did the job for about $25 US.
One caution for others. Don't forget to reconnect the flat multi-pin plug when reassembling the panel itself. I almost did. Doing all that removal and soldering on a complex circuit board was a little challenging for me. I was greatly relieved when all the gauges worked and were steadier than ever.
Thanks man, awesome job explaining it and after watching your vid. i had my gauges out ,repaired and back in in no time flat..cheers
Thanks for the video and clear instructions. My fuel gauge and speedometer were not working on my 05 Impala. Withnyour help I pulled the cluster without any major problems and took it for repair to AAE in Richmond, Va. $189 for a refurbished cluster bench tested and recalibrated with my mileage. Don't have time to do the overhaul myself, but pulling it and putting it back in with your guidance made it easy.
wish i found you before i bought used one- great video
This is a great video on cluster repair. My 2000 Impala needs a new cluster probably. My fuel guage isn't working correctly. I ran out of gas last night. There seems to be a lot of screws to take out. I'm assuming that one guage goes bad the entire cluster has to replaced. Awesome video. It's easier than I thought it would be.
+CHRIS ANDERSON It could be more than the visual fuel gauge that isn't functioning correctly. Mine is doing the same thing. I'm not sure what the problem is, whether it's the gas tank or something else. What I do is use the trip meter and have been doing it for almost 3 years without incident. I usually fill the tank up every 200 miles (even though the car can go past 200 miles).
CHRIS ANDERSON Did you ever figure out the problem?
I got the same problem with the gas gauge only.
I heard the fuel sensor/sender and/or the harness plug can cause the problem.
What do I do when the cluster lights come on when I turn the key but when it starts they go dark. 2003 Chevy Impala
great video!! im replacing my old spedometer for a while LED one on my 04 indy
Thanks for the video . Didn't want break something huge help
I have a 2003 Chevy impala LS and my dashboard lights go dim at night by chance. Do you think it's the DIMMER switch? Thank you
Your video really helped me out. Thanks!👍
So I just put my cluster in today on my 2002 impala and I have lights only where it shows the gear shifting lights . No lights on the speedometer or the temp gage or the fuel gage , it is a new car to me .
Any ideas?
By the way your videos are wat help me get everything done ✔️
They are soldered in lamps that burn out over time so we can replace them with new ones
Thanks man... Thumb up for the show how
Would replacing my cluster fix my gas and temp gauge that don't work.
Thanks sure helped !!!

Welcome
Will a 4 gauge cluster with the tach work in a 3 gauge cluster. Wanting to add a tach
Absolutely.
2005 has a recall from the factory for the ignition switch. The dealership will replace it for free. Just a little FYI for your viewers
all my dealership told me they do is put tape on the key? Is it all they are suppose to do?
Yes, they had some problems and with the theft portion as well causing no starts. Thanks for the information
Working on this right now. What is that light bulb to at 2:55? I don't know where it goes now.
Great instructional video.
Thank you for posting this info. Can you tell me if the odometer reads the original mileage after R & R? Secondly, what should I expect to pay a professional to change the instrument panel cluster?
One more question: How did you remove the headlight knob?
You saved me $700
The fact that this particular video has so many views, tells me this is a major problem. FU Chevy!
Just brought a 2002 and this just happened to me yesterday so I thank you for this video it was very helpful God Bless you all
Actually I just wanted to do it to put LED lights on my dash.
@@joeythefoxxo I'm doing that next week
OkiStash I haven’t yet gotten around to it cause I decided to do a stereo replacement first.
Or...someone was scammed and sold a car without a working check engine light bulb.
Do you have to pro gram the cluster ?
Do you offer a cluster repair service?
Yes, thats what we do
Is the 2004 chevy malibu compatible ?
No that would be a different pprocedure
It was too dark when you took the dash off should have used the light on the camera
This wasnt a fix, it was removal only
Yes, that's because it is a removal video just like the title says
😂🎉
In the daytime I can see my lights perfectly but at night my dash lights nor radio lights won’t light up and I can’t mess with the light settings what would that be?
