I always figured the security cameras in these games are installed specifically to watch for anomalies. Like there wasn't originally a camera in the hotel room, they put it there after everyone left and will probably take it down if/when the anomalies are taken care of
It does say that they have temporarilly evacuated citizens and staff in the area, even providing alternative places for guests to stay at. It seems though that most things are left behind as to not risk any potential escape of anomalies until the situation is resolved. The anomolies that occur can be paranormal to benign instances of displacement, but the fact that they occur means something else that is harmful is likely present, civilians being trapped in recursive non elucadian distortions is non-ideal/traumatizing or at the very least extremely disruptive, the effects on signage or dispalcement/ appearance of objects can lead to harm even if the effect itself is benign, the paranormal apparitions can certainly bring harm or destruction as their effects are wholly unknown.
23:25. No Mark, its like some seal team 6, swat, rainbow six siege, guys come burst through the location and fixes. If distortion happens they punch the camera until it works again. Observation Duty 6 is definitely the best one so far by far. I love seeing how much this developer has grown over time as they make new games. I especially love the mechanic of being able to pinpoint things precisely now! It's still hard enough to lose if you're not careful but at least now pointing out minor changes doesn't take as long and feels more rewarding and less punishing, like when you would accedentally select the wrong category in previous games. This makes it genuinely super fun to play.

Mark using this as an opportunity to improve his short-term memory is such a great way to look at this game. This game is pretty freaky too, pretty much gaslights you by slightly moving stuff around, lol.
26:01 "Do you mind?!" 27:28 "Hello. We've been trying to reach you about your train's extended warranty." 38:42 "Hello. We've been trying to reach you about your _bar's_ extended warranty."
I feel like Mark being aware that there’s an anomaly but not knowing how to identify it is the equivalent to thinking you’re doing a math problem right, just to find out that the answer you got isn’t an option in the “multiple choices” provided. (On a multiple choice question) 3:28
Yall when the Grumps played the Hotel level, their cars were different and it had me BUGGIN'. Idk if they were playing a different difficulty or what, but Mark has two cars parked on the road 30:09 and the grumps only had the red car parked on the walk. Thought I was losing my mind. The Grumps video is "Yell at your screen if we miss anything | Observation Duty 6 [2]"
I believe an update to the game changed some things. Gab Smolders also had the single car on the sidewalk when she first played it, but in her later video (when hard mode got added to the game), there were two cars on the street. (There was nothing on the bed in the early version either, which really messed with me when watching Mark play it.)
This goes for every game he’s played where he reads stuff, but hearing Markiplier read stuff makes me want him to read some audio books or read a story for the Calm app. I could definitely fall asleep to this man’s voice.
33:37 Fun fact: there is actually another Shining reference in this map. The carpet in the hallways almost identically resembles the Overlook Hotel’s carpet from the movie. The hotel itself also called the Outlook manor, so that’s also an obvious tongue in cheek reference

I only say this 1 again over excited, 2 I get how Mark feels now, and 3... you've really inspired me all these years Mark, 11+ years you've been a huge inspiration, kept me from... going into dark places even within myself. At the end of the day that is what I hope to achieve with my own content, to help people that suffered like me, provide fun, make people laugh, because if we can laugh in even the shitiest of times, we can make it through anything and laugh with everyone at anything... something my Grandpa taught me too. That is what I hope to achieve, and I am only dreaming right now... but I do believe that the dream will never die, it will only die when I allow it to, and I don't plan on letting that happen until they're no longer dreams... but reality itself.

The lore is that the spirit of Mark's ADHD lives in that lamp. As he keeps forgetting to fix it, the spirit grows stronger and angrier by the minute
I always imagine it growing stronger and laughing maniacally @@bigbadwolf4190
the actual myth of ghost lights comes from I think garrett Arkansas and it resembles a train platform light that floats around at midnight
Mark's light has a short in it, call it Sparkiplier
16:25 Mark being so proud after he missed the poster like 6 times
An hour of markiplier a day keeps the depression away
that is exactly why i ordered a $60 custom markiplier hoodie 😭 this man is the only thing keeping me sane
sameee❤
And elden ring... don't forget about elden ring...
Y’all low level
Just don’t be depressed. 🤷🏼♂
I think thats the antidepressants
Observation Duty 6 is definitely the best one so far by far. I love seeing how much this developer has grown over time as they make new games. I especially love the mechanic of being able to pinpoint things precisely now! It's still hard enough to lose if you're not careful but at least now pointing out minor changes doesn't take as long and feels more rewarding and less punishing, like when you would accedentally select the wrong category in previous games. This makes it genuinely super fun to play.
I got an apartment in a strange new city and I’m feeling pretty lonely my first night here. Thanks for being a comforting presence, Mark ♥️
Hope you settle in soon, also stay safe from anomalies!
Stay strapped. No better way to stay safe. Enjoy your new adventure, have fun, but also be smart about it.
How’s it going for your first day there
@MatthewBrown-pq1me Nice try but I don’t have a TV bucko~
@@kookiest9434 the horrors persist but so do I 💖 (thank you for asking, very kind of you xx)
Mark's talk about the light being good enough is what i needed today
Markiplier’s reflexes must be insane with all these anomaly games.
i would more say his observation skills instead of reflex
Bro played too much Fnaf. He beat 50/50 didn't he? Or did he only beat 20/20?eother way, he's the king of games and he should have won (FlFream hasn't even uploaded for like 5 months 💀)
@@CgVibinI don't think he's played Ultra Custom Night yet.
If he has, I missed it, but Ultra Custom Night is Ultimate Custom Night but with like... 700 characters? Around there?
He played it but he didn't do 50/20(he didn't finish it)@@ItsDaNewGuy
@@Yun5890 Ultra Custom Night is 700/20.
And is physically impossible for humans to complete.
At this point Mark should keep his haunted light because it knows comedic timing really well
Facts
"Had death implied on them"
I prefer that over "unalive".
The big sleep
have contracted the no no
22:15 "We all know the security office is the safest place to be" -King of FNAF
lixian should add anomalies every now and then behind mark lol
lmfao good idea
I'm invested in the continuing saga of Mark's light... will it decide to shut off in this video? will it suddenly decide to become brighter than the Sun?
Mark saying "bun-bun" is the medicine I needed for this long, long year.
God, i remember binge watching this over the summer.. so glad to see mark return to this game!
Mark using this as an opportunity to improve his short-term memory is such a great way to look at this game.
This game is pretty freaky too, pretty much gaslights you by slightly moving stuff around, lol.
Hello this is markiplier
Hello this is markiplier
my name is welcome
Hello this is markiplier
Hello this is Markiplier
Hello this is Market Fire
I love how sometimes there’s subtle little differences and sometimes there’s jump scares from figures that scares the shit outta me
I can relate to this lol
26:01 "Do you mind?!"
27:28 "Hello. We've been trying to reach you about your train's extended warranty."
38:42 "Hello.
39:16 - 39:27 "I-I-IT'S A G-G-G-G-G-GHOST! AAAAAAAAH! EUHHHHHH! E-GADDS!" Best Markiplier quote ever lol!

Professor E Gadd: You called?
I love how this game is not "scary" scary, but just enough to make me uncomfortable :D
Yeah it kinda nails that creepy uncanny sort of vibe.
Yep, it's the Psychological Horror genre.
@@ShadowstalkerTF oohhhh ok ok yeah, that would make sense if they changed things in an update lol
no lixian jumpscare has ever rattled my bones as much as 23:44
for real, that one was really bad for some reason lol
Don’t be silly, that’s not Lixian, that’s our friend Lunky!
I was crocheting so I want paying attention but I heard mark gasp and I jumped to look and it scared me 😭
Idk why, but the one at the end was the worst one for me
This goes for every game he’s played where he reads stuff, but hearing Markiplier read stuff makes me want him to read some audio books or read a story for the Calm app. I could definitely fall asleep to this man’s voice.
Mark:*yawn*🥱
Anomaly: 'Hello there'😊
I read this comment in obi wans voice 😂
Love that mark dropped a video the night before FNAF VR 2 dropped then disappeared from RUclips never to be seen again
You have inspired me to start making vids. Much love and major props to you mark ❤
Atyyyeee keep at it
I subbed
Oooooo
I subscribed✨
I like your thumbnails 🎉
As a person who is observing mark playing observation duty who is observing monsters, I can confirm that this is in fact a new game
33:37 Fun fact: there is actually another Shining reference in this map. The carpet in the hallways almost identically resembles the Overlook Hotel’s carpet from the movie. The hotel itself also called the Outlook manor, so that’s also an obvious tongue in cheek reference
1:03 Man back in the day Mark totally would have turned this into a "We Do an Exorcism on Mark's Haunted Light" Unus Annus video
Memento Mori we never forget
@@Venmullriikwhat do momento mori mean?
I love how the lion was missing an arm for the whole run and Mark never noticed it
There's no missing arm, the paw is up on a shield in front of it (assuming you're referring to the lion in the hallway?)
15:10 I love how he just keeps skipping over the poster in the toilet again xD
Man when markiplier is talking quietly, its weirdly soothing. Only to be interrupted by a jump scare.
Mark : 23:53 "You hear that ?"
Me : *Increasing volume* "Hear what ?"
Mark : "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH"
he tricked u xd
I really want to see Mark use an eye tracker while playing this!
I’m so excited for this I adored this series and I’ve been waiting for more. This series was instant nostalgia for me, and I don’t even know why. It’s seriously kept me so engaged and happy during my recent times of down, and I so appreciate that it’s back, and that you’re continuing to play. I love your content, mark, really.
Mark missing things had me screaming at some points.
He missed the Dont smile poster and i was panicking. 😂
He eventually found it tho... Eventually
Mark missing the cups in the coffee room for 5 minutes was so infuriating
ikr it was kinda funny but slightly infuriating, glad he eventually noticed
I think we can all agree, when mark makes an observation duty video it’s a banger
Marks light turning on and off has become cannon to the channel at this point 😂
there are so many references to the shining in "outlook manor", but the carpets in elevator a. and aisle are my favorite.
12:25 Lol the way Mark stressed "The water bottle is BLUE" made me think of when he played the Stanley Parable and ran through the blue door shouting "The pen is blue! The pen is blue! The. goddamn. pen. is bluuuuue!" 😂
Mark at 16:25 - "Maybe I'm not missing anything.
Mark for the past 5 minutes - missing the bathroom sign having changed again because he keeps moving past the WC camera too quickly.
I love this series, please play more!
7:35, Mark why did you give me this information. I get the chills all the time
I cannot explain how much I like these videos, mainly because I play along too
It’s a good day when Mark uploads
Market Fire
yes it iz
Right
This video was the only reason my day was at all good lol
12:05 “oh the plant was missing!”
the cup: ☕️🤨
Is Markiplier Dumb?
25:57
Now why did this thing have to show up on the toilet while I’m not the toilet..😭
i love how mark for like 3 months is complaining about the light but hasnt fix it yet

"If anything I feel like this game alone is helping to improve my memory"
Sweet maybe he'll remember to do minecraft episode 20 soon.
Yeah it's been 3 years...
@@XOLiD55 5 days left until exactly 3 years since minecraft part 19
Lol he finally got the "Don't smile" at 16:32 after having been on that camera five times before while it was changed despite having also found it as an anomaly previously.
6:45 train windows are made with handles that you can pull out and use your feet to eject the window glass to make an emergency escape. Bus windows are made the same way!
This game is definitely giving Mark additional braincells.
every time mark releases an observation video it immediately becomes a good day
I swear his observation stats are at 10000 by now 💀
Lixiun must have a hard job Observing Mark Observing the games all the time
21:15 Ye, I know what you mean Mark, I personally am also in middle of many projects and ideas... won't say more than that without hundreds of spoilers, literally, well over the hundreds, one of which is on a youtube channel OF WHICH IS NOT THIS ONE, I'M NOT SOME SHAMELESS PERSON GOING TO PLUG MYSELF, I want people to like me for me... BUT I'M JUST SO EXCITED I CAN'T HELP BUT TALK ABOUT IT, of which I also know you feel lmao, so many things, too many things.
Technically 3 but again NONE ARE THIS ONE, AND I'VE SAID TOO MUCH ALREADY, this is my oldest channel, but I'm keeping it far removed from content creation at the moment, it's just for me watching other people and music.
Love the development of Mark with Observation duty, still remember in first playthroughs of this series Mark said he didn't want to play more of these games and now here we are with 6 vids and more to come lol
