I love the little parting shot as you're leaving the launch. Nice addition. Folks don't realize how much work it is to add those little touches. Nicely done. Some beautiful fish on a beuatiful day!
Haha thanks Tracy and so true. I'm glad you noticed it and appreciate it. My father in law asked me once how I got those shots and I explained to him how I set the camera in place, go back, pass by it and then go back and get the camera. He thought I had a cameraman getting those shot for me 🤣😂
Good fishing out there. You got some nice chunks. That isn't a color most people would pick for their senkos but maybe that's what you need to do to get on the fish. 👍
beautiful spot! Man I was worried when you pulled out that 🎃Halloween colored looking worm but darn it worked great!! Love the pike catch he destroyed that Tokyo rig he was nice!! 👍Great fishing!
Thanks PH! Haha that Halloween colored worm has caught me a ton of fish and a ton of big ones. Bass and pike included. Maybe they think it looks like a perch or something. I don't know. But it works. And I'm really liking the Tokyo rig. Ill have to fish it more. It's like a combo of a jig, carolina rig and drop shot rig, all rolled into one.
Good day out there FitzY, I like the Black/orange/yellow stick worm , killer color combo, very perch-like. Never tried a Tokyo rig but that pike liked it . Good mess of Bass.
Thanks Don. Yeah I love that color combo too and that Tokyo rig is pretty sweet. I'm going to have to throw it more often. Kind of like if a jig, carolina rig and drop shot rig had a baby 👶
Haha true that Russell but sometimes the scenery and tranquility of a location is more important to me that getting on a big bite. Plus I like to change up locations. There are spots that I can go to that will usually offer both a steady bite with good quality but I would get bored going there all the time 👍
Its a beautiful spot Todd and there are some bigguns in there; they're just few and far between. But a nice, quiet and scenic place to fish. That was a Saturday and I had it all to myself.
Fishing from shore or boat? Lots of water around with lots of boat access but shore access can be tricky to find sometimes. Montario Point road has a state launch and some decent shoreline access. Under the bridge on Rt. 3, that crosses Sandy Creek, has some good sunfish action and good access. Great shore access at the boat ramp at the NE corner of Fulton to the Oswego River and also at Lock Island Park in Phoenix for the Oswego River. Try looking at the NY DEC website for boat ramps and cartop launches and from there you may find more shore access. If you have Instagram, you can contact me there by DM and I might be able to give you some more locations. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment 👍
@@FitzYakin I fish from a kayak. I was at North Sandy Pond and South Cowell Pond this morning. I got a few dink largemouth but was looking for crappie and sunfish.
Ok cool. I was at South Cowell Pond yesterday, with my kid. First time fishing there for sunfish and the channel that takes you to the next pond is pretty deep. So we anchored there and got into some decent pumpkinseed but nothing super huge (using nightcrawlers). I'm usually fishing for pike and bass from the yak, but I've caught crappie at North Sandy Pond and Lakeview Pond (I've gotten into some decent bluegill at Lakeview) on bass lures. So I don't really know of any hot spots for crappie and sunfish. I just know they're in there. There are some real nice lakes east of Watertown, one being Moon Lake that I just recently fished. I was there for bass but there were big schools of bluegill, and big bluegill, every where I went. A few other lakes right in that area, that I've never fished, but they look promising. Salmon River Reservoir and Oneida Lake, I think, have decent crappie fishing. Just big lakes to try and find fish in a kayak.
My bad, just NE of Theresa for Moon Lake. Nice car top only launch on the north side of the lake and it's a beautiful looking lake. Crystal clear water. Good luck and maybe I'll see you out on the water sometime 👍
I love it. I usually fish out of a fishing kayak (I have 3) but the 129 Solo is my go-to when I don't feel like dealing with the weight of the kayaks. It's something I can throw up on my car quick and take out for a short fishing trip or launch it from a difficult launch more easily than my kayaks. It's also a boat I can leave on top of my car all day and not worry about the suns UV rays damaging it like they do a plastic kayak. I''ll do a walk-through video for you very soon. Thanks for watching 👍
My fishing kayaks are more stable then my 129 Solo canoe (I can easily stand and fish from my kayaks but it's a little wobbly doing the same from my 129). However, my Grumman 15 footer is just as stable as my fishing kayaks. I prefer my 129 over my kayaks when the launch is difficult (ie down a steep hill or over boulders) to get to the water. My 129 is almost half the weight of my kayaks so it's much easier to carry over obstacles. Hope this helps.

@@FitzYakin Hahahaha. That would be SO nice to have a camera man!
Hahaha yes it would!
your aluminum boat is really cool beautiful water and tip top video until next time my friend 😉👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Everyone is landing Pike, Muskie, and/or Snakeheads right now. Must be their season. Thanks for sharing.
Yeah, the pike fishing usually picks up come spring time and is good all year, even under the ice.
@@FitzYakin You learn something new everyday.
Great job Fitz. Awesome looking spot with some nice bass.
Thanks Jim! Yeah, its a very secluded and scenic spot. That was a Saturday and I had the whole pond to myself 😄
Looks like a awesome location! Great footage and looks like a good time! Great work 👊🏼
Thanks Trevor 🤟🤙

Thanks my brother. Keep it real and stay connected 😉👍
Good day on the water, awesome video as always buddy! Thanks for taking us along!
Thanks buddy! 😉👍
Man, that looked like so much fun. Some nice bass and a bonus pike. Well done my friend.
Thanks Adrian! Soon it'll be salmon and steelhead season. It's not looking good for us to get together anytime soon though 😕

I agree. Let’s hope for a spring reunification. We will see.

Nice job Fitz. That is a good result for only a few hours of fishing.
Thanks Titus. No record breakers but a fun time 😄

That was some real good action you had. Man, those fish were dark too!
Yeah, its crazy the color variations fish can have, depending on the water
Beautiful and wonderful, thanks for sharing

Thanks man. I catch a lot with that color combo and a lot of bigguns. Big bass and big pike 👍
First fish on the Tokyo Rig. Nice Fitzy! That pond looks pretty good. You caught some decent bass. Not to bad!👍👍
Thanks Jake! I picked up a Tokyo rig after you did a review on it a year or so ago. Finally put it to use and I'm very impressed. Seems very versatile
Nice lake, smooth as glass. We fished Santee Cooper and it was a real scenic treat. No fish but that was the case for alot of people.
Yeah. Its all about just getting out. Catching fish is icing on the cake 🎂

Pretty good day out there!! Never heard of a tokyo rig! Learned something new!
Thanks Bottles! It's kind of like a combo between a jig, Carolina rig and a drop shot rig all in one. I like it and will definitely use it again.
Big liiiiiike 👍
Thanks my man 😉👍
Hey great video 👍 just subbed can't wait for more!
Thanks man! I appreciate your support 😉👍
It's key to rest your worms sometimes. Can't overuse them or else they could lose its firmness.
You are so right Bo. We want to keep them as firm as possible. They are useless otherwise 🤣🍆🌽🥕🥒🍌
The best ever.
Love this canoe
You make it look easy! We all know it’s a grind! Keep up the good videos brother.
Haha thanks Mark. I almost took a day off from fishing, to rest and strip a roof but decided to grind it out on the pond 🤣😂
Sometimes a quantity bite is more dependable than a quality bite, but it's good to get some of both, haha.

How do you like that Grumman Solo 129? I've been very seriously looking into one of those. Maybe you can do a "walk-through" video for your boat!

I finished up that walk-through video for you on the Grumman 129 Solo. Video will post on Wednesday.
Our small ponds are too small for a canoe haha
🤣😂
For those keeping track at home, the "there we go" count was 33, making the ratio almost 4 "there we go's" per fish...
Haha another drinking game video Andrew! 🍺 🍻
