I think in a way this injury will be good for alcaraz. He wasnt blasting the forehand on every shot today and would rally with it a bit while using his other shots too. He needs to learn to play like this instead of always being hyper aggressive. Hell beat the lower ranked players regardless but this playstyle will help against zverev, sinner, djokovic, etc
The next 15 years are going to be so bittersweet. I’m still a Fedfan who hasn’t adopted either one of these 2 (I don’t believe you can be a fan of multiple top 2-3 players. You can appreciate their game and respect them, but liking them and rooting for them kinda defeats the purpose of rooting for the other guy. It’s like people who are Niners, Nuggets, Golden Knights and Rangers fans. Next time this year they might be Steelers, Celtics, oilers and Dodgers fan
You can be a fan a new player when your player has retired already. Before being Federer fan, I was a great fan of Gustavo kuerten, which has not prevented me from being a big fan of Federer
@@taopaille-paille4992 yeah, that has nothing to do with what I said. Of course now that Federer had retired I’ll be a fan of someone from the new generation. I’m just not sure if it’s going to be Carlos or Sinner. I don’t think you can be a Sinner and Alcaraz fan. Kind of like being a Liverpool and Man City fan or Barcelona and Real Madrid fan. You can respect your rival but if you’re fan of the two top players in the world that pretty much defeats the point of being a fan since the top 2 guys will win most events.
@@eaglewinnings8003 In my experience when you don't know exactly which player you support, your instincts will decide when you will see the two players match up together. Generally, somehow, a player amongst the two you will eventually prefer
@@taopaille-paille4992 I think I lean towards Sinner. I was talking about him and watching him play since 2019. I said he was going to win slams. Then Carlos came out of nowhere and Sinner hit a wall it seemed like last year but he was just figuring things out. Federer is always my first love and I’ll lean towards players that play like him, have his demeanor and carry themselves like he did. That’s why I think in the end it’ll be Jannik for me. Secondarily I’m also a huge Ben Shelton fan. I think he’ll eventually win a slam. Now if he’s the one to form a big 3 with Alcaraz and Sinner that’ll be tough on me. This era’s villain for me is easy and I didn’t even have to make an effort to dislike him. It’s Rune. His behavior is unbelievably bad.
@@eaglewinnings8003 Shelton brings some fresh air but he is immature and a bit full of himself. He talked about Djokovic as if he were a random player. It seems that Shelton doesn't care or respect tennis history. Sinner impressed me too. So did Shapovalov. But tennis is not only about raw talent, otherwise Kyrgios would have won many slams... Sinner is good for the game he will definitely makes life difficult to Alcaraz and every top players
Even if a Spain native, you can see the difference in the charisma btw him and Rafa, by seeing the number of people behind this interview Vs the interview with Rafa..
My favourite tennis player to watch. Great human and player.
same here, he's an awesome representative of the sport
Carlos is truly inspiring on so many levels.
Doubles with Rafa at the Olympics would be amazing. It will probably be the most watched doubles matches ever.
Alcaraz is magic ! He is the reason I watch tennis.
Bro he's just 20 and already has foundation, respect.
I think he s turning 21 in like a week...but yeah carlito is just the best
Well done champion 🎉🎉great to see you playing on court.
He always looks so happy & humble 🥰
Good guy 👍😍
Wait he’s doing olympics with the king of clay? That’s amazing, I’ll be rooting for him 100%

Haha, yeah who knows, maybe it will help him to be a little more patient and not go for the final shot so fast with his fh.
Rafael Nadal,
Now Carlos Alcaraz
Yesss !!
Vamosss !!
My favorite player since rod laver
62 61 with forehand injury 😎 u watch his many2 backhand winner yesterday & his volley was 🏆VamoSss Carli Rafa🌬🏆👑🏆
His personality is emblematic of Federer and Nadal. Opposite to Novak and rublev
Memo, kids: When saying hi, make sure either both your arms are visible or don't extend your right arm fully (1:58 - blue cap to the left of Carlos) 🤣
He 100% was doing the Nazi salute
Carlitos is smart and doesn’t answer what do you expect he is clever, vamos
Yay
please if rafa and carlos play together-i’m not ok
1:58 the kid😩
Wow, his English is much better than it used to be.👍
Carlos is the best thing that has happened to tennis, following ,of course, the one and only Novak!
Nadal
In the new generation, Carlos is great for tennis indeed, followed by Sinner, Meddy and others.
Carlitos will play finale in Madrid 👏👏👏👏👏💪💪💪

Hes got the skills just not the killer mindset like nadal.
Is Rafa/Carlos doubles at the Olympics really on the table or is this just hype making?
They both said they are excited about it and want to do it. It probably only depends on Rafa's health really.
😊😊😊😊
