I always wax everything with my fingers. They tend to get into the areas the brush can't. I also hit the entire thing with a hairdryer before I wax. Once heated the wax really gets soaked into the cloth.
Good video, I love Filson hats chaps and vest. I may have to mortgage my home to get another product, but I don’t need a house with all my filson gear.
Very helpful video! My son and I both have this hat - we just did this together. Mine leaked a bit in the seam on top of the hat...called Filson, they asked me to re=wax the hat especially the seams. They even sent me a free tin of wax - hey said if it still leaked they would replace the hat. I have a LOT of Filson items.
Thanks for the video, I recently bought two of this hats one of them being used from Ebay but in great shape, The leather bridal is coming loose in one of the hats and it looks like the adhesive they use to glue it on has dried up, have you experience this on your hat, what adhesive would you use to repair this problem

Leather/ suede glue. You can find it on Amazon for around $8-10. Enjoy your hats.
Aleene's brand works good. And will not cost that much either. Good luck.

Is this hat suppose to be tight?
Mine fits snug, but you can purchase a hat stretcher online if its too tight.
