Absolutely beautiful! I always spray the back of my paper with water & put it between two pieces of clean cardboard. I then put a heavy book on top. This will flatten a warped page or notecard.
You guys are adorable. I love how free I feel when doing your tutorials and am much easier on myself than usual. Also, I love the watercolor paints in your kits.
Thank you! I took an art class at my senior center a few years ago. My teacher would not even look at me. She made me feel like I was just awful. But here you are thank you so much!
Thank you for this! I celebrated the first day of autumn by taking your oath and having some fun painting colorful leaves. Painting is so much more enjoyable when I can remember, it's just a piece of paper! 😉
Love the banter and you and Keenan have during these videos! You two really seem to enjoy working with each other. It makes these videos so enjoyable. I also appreciate your philosophy of being kind to yourself while you find your internal artist.
Assuming positive intent is one of my new practices. Loving this session, and looking forward to trying it out! I think I'll need to practice my leaves a bit before I get going so I can find a somewhat consistent and good-looking shape.
I just started "art-ing" a couple of months ago. I've always been very critical of myself...but for some reason , when painting, I am able to let that go. To say I'm hooked is an understatement. I may paint a million flowers but I don't care. LOL I love your positive attitude and you are also a great teacher.
I LOVED this tutorial, I think it's now one of my faves! I did it a couple of days ago because I couldn't wait 😆 Such wonderful teaching. All the LMA videos bring me joy!!
Mixing colors is actually pretty easy for me, especially when using liquid watercolors. It gets more challenging with pan watercolors or paint I'm unfamiliar with.
I love when the beginning of the month happens…I get to try out the new LMA videos! With regards to paper stretching…from what I’ve found when researching, wood pulp paper doesn’t get any benefit from stretching. Just 100% cotton

So, I have decided at the ripe old age of 47 to start painting. I have not painted a thing in my life. I have never considered myself an artist. I write. I don't draw. I don't paint. I am also extremely self-critical. Signed up for the subscription because why the heck not, and in the meantime started out the the wildflowers and then the apple. I really really don't care for my apple. BUT I can see the progress even between my first and second apple. And I absolutely adore you and your videos with Keenan. I'm committing to this painting thing for a year, and I'm excited to learn from you. Onward!
Grace is what I feel when I’m learning from you guys❤
Loved your painting idea! Maybe paint the same composition for each season of the year!
What a great idea!

It definitely takes some practice.
You continue to always motivate me :)

Great tip!
Does anybody else’s berry blue have a stick type consistency? It doesn’t effect the way the paint goes on but it stretches a lot

Welcome to Let's Make Art Ute! You are never too old to learn something new, and 47 is basically the new 19 anyway.
Oh my gosh.........it's the "Bend and Snap!!!!! " --Legally Blonde. LOL (edited for credit given)
That movie is a classic!
More panting less talking!!
I found the talking and explanations helpful!
you could always mute it
More kindness less criticism!
