Clearly we have all been watching restoration videos for a while to be complaining about video editing, method of sanding, grinding, wire brushes, finishes, hand work, missing parts etc etc. Nowhere does he say he's trying to restore them back to the most original state and sell them with 100% authenticity. Look at his workshop, his tools, his sand blaster even - he doesn't have all the new, updated, crazy amount of tools we see in other videos. He's starting out and he's happy to make something old and rusty look like new. If you want him to have all the tools and video editing skills then send him the money, get him the subscribers to do so. Saying what you would like to see or how he could maybe do some things differently is constructive but otherwise give him a break. He's doing great.
@@Catbirdmom2 nah. Lots of people commented on those specific things so I copy and pasted my comment on multiple videos because he was getting an unnecessary amount of hate. And yes I mean ridicule, not constructive criticism or suggestions
Someone once said that brass is a poor man's gold. With the work and effort you have expended on this object, you have enriched it, and the owner of it, to an immeasurable degree! Amazing job!
It's ready for another 50 60 years of incenses, Looks a lot better than first made! They just made then cheap and out the door Enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up
Rule of thumb: NEVER use wire brush or sandpaper to clean or polish bronze, copper, or brass. Even less on an antique and beautiful piece. It will always end up very scratched. Epoxy? Please!
@e2matt c For your informaron I watched the whole video all the way till the end. So, if you don't want to see any criticism, get yourself a plastic bubble and isolate yourself from the World.
A beautiful finish to an old rusty incense burner, a fantastic job done, ignor bad comments, I would love that burner and you done alot if work on it, what type of incense cones did you use,,,? What fragrance!!!!,,,,,,was thinking Sandlewood or jasmine,,, 👍😀
Does the restoration strip away all of the history on this fantastic work of art? I think some of it should be kept as is. So people can see how it was!
It was so beautiful & old before, having this gorgeous shape. After your hands & heart have been on it, one could see Someone knew I how to bring out its full potential, even though the process must have been unpleasant for the Pot but so worth it ❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
I don't understand why you would do all that scrubbing if you're going to sandblast it anyway...wouldnt that take it all off? I'm not criticizing, just curious.
Yeah definitely brass. I noticed when I was in China a couple of years ago, in a market, the bronze pieces the stallholders were all trying to flog to me were called "copper" so maybe that's their name for any alloys.
It's an incence burner. I was wondering about the holes in the lid. Also there is no spout, it would not be practical to pour liquid from it. But it looks great. You've brought it back to its original shiny state. Well done.
@ Silke Bower the pinned link is to a previous video of a teapot restoration. The title of this video is correct in calling it an incense burner. It does look like brass to me and not copper but I haven't finished watching the video yet.
People saying here that he bring now original look to this thing and that is good thing. Its not true, everywhere in the world if you have something antique and specially metal objects nobody rips off patina, any museum, any collector any temple. Things comes there new and that happens only ones, with the time this objects becomes a witnesses of history and time, its like wisdom that human get with years of life study.
Had to stop watching, imagine using a steel wire brush on brass. Should have used brass wire brush. Should leave this type of restoration to experts who really know their job.
Cannot tell how old it is, but sanding, filing and polishing is completely WRONG with antique artifacts. Removal of corrosion and preventing further deterioration is what museums do. Just take care not to ruin a real antique piece of history.
I watched a few of these videos to see if he ever learns from the comments. This guy has NO IDEA WHAT HE IS DOING!!! He is ruining the patina and value of many pieces, using improper techniques and bumbling along with no education or expertise. i just cant look!!!
As antique collector have to say that my heart getting twisted when somebody is removing patina and make item looks like AliExpress 5 euros rubbish. But ok I understand that most of people like shiny new things with one second blink effect and hate years of real character collected on surface.

Beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
Nice. Not so much of a restoration but an upcycle into a beautiful price of forgotten art 🥰

He didn't ruin anything. He took something that someone left for trash and fixed it up the best he could
I believe the majority of the comments are about the harshness of his methods. That’s not a tool specific issue; rather a learning curve.

Looks like brass to me.

Beautiful piece and perfect restoration. You should correct the title. It is definitely not copper.
maravilhoso

Fantastic work of art? Tourist tat judging by the quality of it, especially the engraving which was very crude.

too kewl! my favorite part to watch is the sand blasting!! is there any metal you won’t/can’t use it on? great job!

Well done mate. That’s come up beautifully. 👍🇦🇺
Felicitaciones......sólo una pega.....y es que el dragon al estar pegado con pegamento de metal.......pienso que con el calor se despegará. Un saludo.
👏👏👏🙃
I don't understand why you would do all that scrubbing if you're going to sandblast it anyway...wouldnt that take it all off? I'm not criticizing, just curious.
its because you can clog your sandblasting machine or get the sand really dirty and it wont last long. most of the sand in the machine is reused
@@SkDragon360 is the sand expensive then?

Não é cobre...

Looks more like brass to me, but in some languages that's the same word (brass=yellowish copper-zinc alloy)
Yeah definitely brass. I noticed when I was in China a couple of years ago, in a market, the bronze pieces the stallholders were all trying to flog to me were called "copper" so maybe that's their name for any alloys.
...а вот при полировке,накаткой круг чистить нужно было чаще!!!
Its brass. Technically copper amd tin but its brass. Nice work

Дорогой друг , огромное спасибо , что объяснили что это за предмет .
Com o equipamento certo, ficaria mais brilhante.
Is that real antique? How can you do that for an antique thing
Its Fake
Play this at 2x. Thank me later.
TY... I watched him destroy it in half the time.
The long slow panning at 2x speed.....is still long slow panning.
The length of the video is unnecessarily prolonged
Have you not heard of Brasso?
What ?
@@WorldRestoration instead of using sand paper use Brasso less abrasive

HOw do you know what Incense to. Use
It is copper or brass metal?
it'd be great if you could get the lid to seal tight and channel the smoke through the dragon's mouth.
Like a Chinese cultural relic

Mais pourquoi donc ce pinceau métallique au début ??? Ça fait des rayures, ça abîme !!!!!! Je ne comprends pas. Quelqu'un peut m’expliquer ??????

Its brass not copper and the rim still leans to one side. not a bad restoration.

I would Love to know country and era of origin if you don’t mind sharing.
Терли, Терли, джин не появился.
(The music is not appropriate and creates a major distraction. it would be better just to focus on the work being accomplished, which is amazing.)
Didn't see any copper!
good job dear, but the video is too long with no need
