His from Jilin which is where where the majority of Chaoxianzu resides, their a Korean ethic group or Chinese minority group from Korean descent that's been living there in Jilin, China for a couple hundred years, their considered Chinese nationals or Chinese citizens but with Korean ancestry or roots and because of this they were able to preserve their Korean culture even though they've been residing in China for hundreds of years.. Hence the explanation of RenJun saying that he grew up with his grandmother that's why he speaks old Korean, which is kind of similar to North Korean dialect but not the same...
