Can’t lie this episode ain’t hit for me😪. The relationship between Rinne and Houtaro feels really forced for me. But the fact Kajiki thinks of himself to be Juliet first before Rinne is very funny for me. Bisexual king ig. And that childhood friend was MILDLY COLD SHE COULD’VE RAN TBH😭💀🙏. Uhm Yeah that’s about it. Erm Lachesis stuff was also cool ig nice fight scene with that situation. I would say 4.5/10 but I’ll say 5/10 for the Donbrothers reference👏.
Also should I go back and add up all my scores for each episode even tho I DEFINITELY haven’t rated each one lol.
i mean, there is no relationship. the point the show was making was more just asking Rinne "just what IS your relationship with hotaro" like is what she feeling romantic jealousy or is it just nerves not knowing how to talk to other people. i do think it will probably lean more romantic as it goes on, but more like acknowledging feelings way.
I know we just had a breather episode with the last two but it's still nice to return to the school setting properly after all the serious battles. The Donbrothers actors cameo was a great surprise and it's also good to know Kajiki's keeping in touch with Hijiri. I'm so happy to see Prof.Minato back in pathetic tumblrman mode, it's been so long! Love the reactions from the others about Romeo and Juliet and Renge and Sabimaru's commentary on Houtarou's childhood friend.
I gotta say the thing that I find most fascinating is how the three Abysallis Sisters have been doing now after the loss of Geryon. Clotho is trying to appeal to Lachesis, feels like a want to return to how things used to be and blames the Minato and Kyoka for 'poisoning her mind'. The Daioni Kanabo definitely suits her fighting and it's nice to see some consequences regarding the Dreadriver, a testament to both it's power and dangers.
Atropos is back to full-on hating Rinne and wants revenge for her father (is Geryon her biological father or is it just the bond/fondness that the creation has for her master I wonder?), guiding her older homunculus siblings to the fight. It's certainly interesting when even the antagonists draw on good concepts such as family bonds for their motivation.
Lastly and my favorite, Lachesis. Big fan of her joining up with the team as Prof.Kyoka's assistant. Her help was monumental in getting Prof.Minato to the fateful battle after all. She's cast in her lot with the heroes though it looks like she still has fondness for Clotho going by how she stopped Spanner from finishing her off. What she said about Atropos is quite telling, that she knows Atropos won't let her defection slide, was ready to kill her and that "she's not the same as us".
yeah it feels like the school setting and the romeo and juliet stuff was there as sort of a misdirect. sort of a hey we are still i happy goof goof town. and then they throw all the heavier stuff at you.
like i said in the video, they are really feeling like a family who are dealing with abuse. one who didnt suffer it and participated in the abuse of another. one who say none of it. and then the victim who just wants to move past it. just immediately rounding them all out as characters.
11:36 yeah I can definitely see her being autistic coded mainly because I'm autistic myself and yeah I definitely get overwhelmed with new situations so yeah I can definitely see that as for my opinion on the overall episode I think I can sum up my original reaction as this "what the hell did I just watch" of course now that I'm able to actually process the episode I think I was definitely a little bit too mean to the episode like it's not my favorite episode but it's pretty good all things considered although that's next episode preview has me a little worried hopefully it's just me being paranoid but if the worst case scenario comes to pass well you will definitely hear about it
yeah its an episode that does a whole lot of set up, with very little to call its own.
also doesnt help that they are also asking some big questions about the characters that would reasonably be explored, but i understand of other (not say you are part of that) people not wanting there to be any romantic implications between Rinne and Hotaro
@@BoingoRider I don't mind the whole romantic thing because well I don't exactly mind shipping in general (not saying you are accusing me of that just be clear here) and I am becoming more open to the idea of Houtarou and Rinne being a thing but I don't exactly blame people for being against it either
