- International Rude Boyz - Paragone Remix
Quality 93 release off the 'Formation Records' label, remixed by DJ SS & International Rude Boyz (The latter better known these days as D&B producer Matrix).
Absolute gem of a tune. Reminds me of the Edge, Coventry in '93.
Edge staple that tune was
That's what I first thought of too - I never went, but I absolutely hammered the double-pack cassette mixtapes of Ratty & Ray Keith's sets from The Edge, which I bought up in Trax Records in Newcastle, from the Shindig lads. Probably back in '92? Amazing mixes, amazing decade.
What a tune. 93 to me was the best year. Tunes made then was so on point. Then 94 came the birth of jungle and was another good year
I love both the original of this tune and the remixes. Any Oldskool ravers in the house?
Oi oi!
You know it, Ande. Nice seeing you here mate.🙂
Darkside kicks in at 3.10......the whole track is rammed with classy vibes..............old skool magic.
Both sides immense. Two darkside killers
One of the best tunes from 93!
It's gotta be up there as one of the best records of all time. Love it!!
Absolute monster of a tune! Takes me back to the Grooverider set from Dreamscape 10. Proper darkside jungle technology. 🤘
I had this on a dreamscape 10 cassette and Ray Keith did the track ID for me in Black Market. That’s the thing with drum and bass and jungle - the titles were impossible to guess!
I actually still humm this track now,not seen or heard it for decades
Simply lush all the way end to end amazing

Think thats almost impossible to answer.about 91 break beats started to come into british acid house music.that gave it a different feel. then in 92 it formed into hardcore music where pretty much all of it used breakbeats and sub bass.late 92 to early 93.the likes of grooverider, fabio, randall, doc scott and goldie.anyone who was raving when they first heard terminator will know its impact.they started to use or play records using various samples from reggae, hip hop,as well as a lot of film samples.often from horror movies, gangster or action films.but usually dark.but pretty much if it could be sampled it was fair game. and as the scene was still very underground at this point there were prob no complaints on samples used.mostly at least.this went towards forming darkside hardcore and jungle tekkno.the beats started to get faster, the bass heavier and the general mood of the music became darker.this stuff could be described as the early form of jungle music.in 94 a lot of ragga and reggae influences took hold.the beat sequences became more complex.and what we now know as jungle music.im not a dj,mc,producer or journalist.just an old raver who loves the music.so if theres any holes anyone wants to pick.please do.just coming up with a fairly simple explanation.but name a first tune would be pretty tricky.there were lots.hope that helps.oh yeah i always like to shout up shut uo and dance, ragga twins and rebel mc as my introduction to british breakbeat music.although not 100 percent sure what it was called at that point.but it was hugely influential on what followed .
Rebel MC 'tribal bass' 1991, or silver bullets '20 seconds to comply' 1990 IMO
Lennie De Ice - We Are I.E one of the first for sure
The start sounds like something from Ocarina Of Time
