This was super helpful. I did order one of the screens, but when you said you ripped off the other strip, could I just cut it straight across and then put it in the machine? Just checking? Thanks again for any help!
If you ordered the blue one and chose none of the drop down options, you should be good to go. But if it comes with the touchscreen add-on, which has the little strip, it is NOT just as simple as cutting the strip off. I tried that. The screen still has an additional touchscreen layer that will make it too thick to fit properly. I had to take a craft paper knife-effectively a razor sharp scalpel, and slowly, carefully get between the touchscreen and the LCD screen and separate them. Then I cleaned any glue residue off with a dry, soft cloth. You have any issues or questions, reach back out. We can set up a zoom or discord or something if you need help.
@@StatusMusicDesign Awesome man, thank you for the insight. I made the mistake or ordering it with he e packet. Probably going to be in a million pieces by the time I get it back. Ive go to try and cancel the order. But yes, I will be getting back to you .
@@chasemantooth1701 If you can afford it, I’d just order another one. I think you’re just gonna get everything faster. Their customer service is responsive but slow. Price is reasonable. Keep the one with the strip as a backup.
So what was your initial problem? Completely broken screen? Just super dim? It sounds to me like something isn't connected. It's getting power, but is not connecting to the pedal's software. I would try taking it apart and making sure each connector is seated firmly and properly. Make sure all those pins go in when stacking the two motherboards, and checking the connection of the ribbon cable.

So I got the new one in, after doing the full install the screen came on super bright but no words. I don't know what to do from here.
