Yeah funny thing is, not wearing a guitar makes singing quite a bit easier. It gives some room to breath on your belly and you aren't shaking your body trying to play. It's honestly quite relieving once you get used to the "awkwardness" of not having a guitar strapped onto your body.
Also you don't have to worry about hitting the right frets/strings if the timing is slightly awkward. Try playing bass and singing a Tool song. That gets tricky...
When you say it's dead and gone, yes, I know you're wrong Cut and slash, sharpest knife, it won't die, ah Poison cup, drank it up, it won't die No fire, no gun, no rope, no stone, it won't die, ah Why you gotta shove it in my face As if you put me in my place? 'Cause I don't care if you or me is wrong or right Ain't gonna spend another night in your bed, in your bed Laws of man are just pretend, they ain't mine Love so good, love so bad, it won't die, ah Some talk too long, they know it all and I just smile and move on Words ain't free, like you and me, I don't mind, ah Why'd you have to be so mean and cruel? The dogs are loose, I'm on to you You ball and chained together from the dawn to dusk Can't call it leaving, 'cause it's just I never came I never came I never came I never came I never came I never came
This is one of my favourite live performances of all time, I could not count how many times I watched this concert and specifically just for I never came
This gig in Berlin 2005 is my favourite version (acoustic), the whole gig is amazing, intimate. Check it out if not seen before. They are just an incredible band. RIP Natasha 😇 m.ruclips.net/video/ZbBPQTHbD4E/видео.html
This song.. pure talent. One of the best live performances of this song i've heard. And Josh Homme? Well, he's sex on legs. Plain and simple. God that man rocks my socks :P
Perfecto! Alain playing Joshua's lead line & Natasha playing Alain's bass line to free up Josh to fully immerse himself vocally is a heavenly marriage made. R.I.P. Natasha❤🙏 I so wish I'd been at that performance, although I'd seen them live previously with Nick Oliveri and Mark Lanegan (R.I.P. also❤🙏). My daughter was born the year of this gig so I unfortunately missed out, however I'm very grateful for this quality of content/ment😊🫂. That fills the gap💗🤘
A worthy side note, Josh has a diagnosed case of Restless Frontman Syndrome in this performance brought on by foregoing the hand-busying guitar he's accustomed to occupying him for the majority of performances.
I've known about QOSA for a while now but only just got into them and I keep finding amazing song after amazing song. They're becoming one of my favourite bands.
This was standard for how they played it for this lineup, some songs Alain played guitar for live like Burn the Witch, Long Slow Goodbye, Little Sister. That sort of thing
i think they're as big as they want to be--they make the music they want to make, not what some record exec wants--they're a true success story--not a band that makes music that'll last 5 mins--their music lasts period, no limits
Mellow wicked song, it's like a Soundgarden song calm deviance. I never knew the song was a break up song. "You can't say I am leaving, because I never came." Auugh, did a chick I used to date write this song?
One of my favs of QotSA. First several second when they adjust is the best, at least better than in studio version. I think Joshua began playing more lullabies since he sacked Nick. Actually I adore both Queens - this song and also those like "Millonaire". And the keyboardist supporting them in this tour is nice ;)
I totally agree. Part of it is his size, how many frontmen can you think of that are 6'5" and solid men. Then add on top of that some mad skills, he's pretty unique.
Homme's vocals are so good live here, his pitch is pretty damn good. Also R.I.P Natasha Shneider.

Indeed RIP Natasha Shneider played with a few of the greatest like QOTSA, Chris Cornell and Pearl Jam

She was so perfect for this jam. I like every move she made.
Weird seeing Josh without a guitar.
really? you should see Alex Turner or Dave Grohl without guitars. that's weirder
must be hard for ya to see nirvana concerts then
@@lapduynguyenthien8674 Me being a Nirvana fan, it’s weird to see Dave Grohl playing guitar and not drums.
This Song smells like late summer rain. A beautiful grey
you know, that's oddly the best description I can think of for this song.
Fantasticly put. You got soul man.✌
One of my fave Queens songs, and this version is killer. That main riff is heavenly.

Eduardo munhoz Thanks for posting the lyrics.
Ay thx man
This is one of my favourite live performances of all time, I could not count how many times I watched this concert and specifically just for I never came
Wow, the live version is better than the studio version. Amazing.
It is scary..the higher he is the better he plays
Much better..

I'm seriously grooving on this amazing performance 😅😅😊
Josh never came but I did
But he was there….ah, ok ;) ;)

Deserves more likes 😂
I used to sing this song to my ex all of the time. Best subtle break-up song ever.
Natasha Schneider is drop dead gorgeous!!

I agree. He really seems vulnerable yet completely in control. They're so great.
"That for which we find words is already dead in our hearts." ~Nietzsche
R.I.P. Natasha
Goths Of The Stone Age. When Josh puts Dark and deep he's a master. Great mr. Homme
Gah Josh is such a stellar vocalist!!!! And of course guitarist. Can we just give him one band for each?
My ex-wife's favorite song.

That heavy drum and deep bass steals my heart every fucking time.

I know it's two months ago but in this song Natasha's playing the bass part on her keyboard.
huh ?
@@lukeb0030 hes saying there is no bass player, she is doing it all with keys
Joey's snare sounds really good.
Omg 4:00 gave me chills. Historic moment for music, this definitely is! :')
Amazing song and voice..wow❣️
Listening to this while high makes me understands life.
Did so right now !

Im in love with this song, so beautiful to my ears.
I love the Queens. This song sounds so awesome, he ended it in a cool way too.
I go through different phases, this is now my favorite qotsa song.
Love this song. And josh is so young there. Man, time flies
Great too see Josh walk down to the crowd! :D
This band happily pisses all over most of what was out 15 years ago, and definitely everything that’s out now. Especially live!
It's really fun the way that I'll always stop here to listen to it.
His voice is sooooo smooth even live!
The best performance of this song ever!!! One of the coolest songs ever!!!Josh rules!
Like # 2,760.. Remember me my best friend... RIP 2016 💪💀🍺👼
i've seen them perform live a few times, but this is by far one of the, if not, the best concert they have ever given!
so freakin' addictive, especially that version. getting goose bumps every time...
Hauntingly beautiful🤟
My favorite Live QOTSA utube performance. when that bass line kicks in, just wow. I love Josh Homme. So cool it stings
Best band that could possibly exist

Damn'..every time I watch to this live it gives me chills....
Love how he flips the camara off...incredible band
This song is just so beautiful
his voice is perfect on this song
A worthy side note, Josh has a diagnosed case of Restless Frontman Syndrome in this performance brought on by foregoing the hand-busying guitar he's accustomed to occupying him for the majority of performances.
Black Francis from Pixies also has that same syndrome 😁
Awesome vocals. I always maintain you gotta have some kind of hardship to truly effing excel.
i totaly agree!
this song is awsome!
Such a good song
I love this song, QotSA has been my favourite band since I was 9, this song is underated, it's so good :)
i listened to this while i was high. i felt like i was in a magical world of amazing music.
Finally i learned how to play this song on drums. It's not easy as it seems. So, Joey, you're a god on drums. Congratulations.
The briiliant addictive heartbeat rhytm of QOTSA 👊
Fantastick preformance by the Queens. Queens Of The Stone Age rocks!

I've known about QOSA for a while now but only just got into them and I keep finding amazing song after amazing song. They're becoming one of my favourite bands.
what a magical performance
One of the best but what is Up with Josh's hand, missing the guitar? Best voice in rock and roll!
This was standard for how they played it for this lineup, some songs Alain played guitar for live like Burn the Witch, Long Slow Goodbye, Little Sister. That sort of thing
amazing
My fav QOTSA song, along with If Only.
If only é muito boa, principalmente ao vivo
sensacional essa música
Much better than the studio one.
Listen to it, with good headphone ;-)
...like for all music
Why?
intense song, great performance, awesome band.
Great band, great song
R.I.P. Natasha Shneider
i think they're as big as they want to be--they make the music they want to make, not what some record exec wants--they're a true success story--not a band that makes music that'll last 5 mins--their music lasts period, no limits
They Sound Amazing Live, this is just an AWESOME song
This song will always be in my heart🖤🔥✊🏾
totally agree with you, cant go wrong with QOTSA. words cant explain how good they are. best band ever Fact !!!!!!
Mellow wicked song, it's like a Soundgarden song calm deviance. I never knew the song was a break up song. "You can't say I am leaving, because I never came." Auugh, did a chick I used to date write this song?
Mamma mia come suonano! Da paura!!!!
Brilliant!, Beautiful! Such a great uplifting, inspiring song! He IS the orange haired Elvis!
Elvis was a hack compared to this guy. And I mean that Elvis has nothing on Josh
One of my favs of QotSA. First several second when they adjust is the best, at least better than in studio version. I think Joshua began playing more lullabies since he sacked Nick. srsly a nice live version... Josh and the song rly comes to life
Best version period.

Fantastic!
This may have been Josh at his sexiest.
I totally agree. Part of it is his size, how many frontmen can you think of that are 6'5" and solid men. Then add on top of that some mad skills, he's pretty unique.
i love this song.
Fuck, this song hits me right in the feels every time. Only the best songs can do that to you
It was a statement with an inquisitive inflection at the end of the sentence.
i love that beat! great song!
Natasha was Alain Johanne's other half wasn't she?
Nick Tinsley
Yup they was married
Nick Tinsley
Yea man...it's so sad...
