    You don't need a black leader, be a leader yourself. Be the change you want to see, it all starts with you.
    Why should one person be the voice of all of black America.

      nah, people need a leader. u see since we don't have any leader they substituted celebrities for it and became "stans", the masses need leaders. there are exceptional ppl who can be their own but the majority def need leaders, because if not they'll just follow someone with ill intentions for them.

      Sis, beautiful & wise we need no leader, leadeers are corruptible and can be targeted for assassination or to sway the view of the people and destroy the original message through slander, our government works by compartmentalization as we should, splinter cells with same accord like the police lol hopefully with your mind frame when you have children you are blessed with boys warriors need strong up bringing s peace to you

      rebecca smith Human societies have always had leaders. Good leaders yield good results. You believe in that individualist European mindset which leads to no where. Of course, the leader shouldn't be worshipped or allowed to abuse his power like some preachers for example.

  • @TBanksy1

    Corey is one of those people who has no constructive solutions to answers. He doesn't know how to build. Black people need capital and a self-sustaining economy. Corey just talks about revolution, but he doesn't know what comes next. Bobby is right, you have to plan for the future. Corey is saying that money is worthless, then says he will always have a hustle to make money. If money is so worthless, why then hustle to make it? Money is power and in America it gives you a seat at the table.

      @RecordStoreDeva 9 лет назад +3

      I agree. You have to have a plan and excute it. Bobby was saying it didn't make sense to burn your own stuff because you're not going to have the resources to substain yourself to carry out the revolution.

    I love what Corey does with this show, but he and Zo make the white man seem like a god. Everyone always talks about how whites destroyed Tulsa Black Wallstreet, but what they don't tell you is that they rebuilt it in a matter of years. Bombs did not destroy Black Wallstreet, integration did. When you give up control of your community to go and work for your oppressor, that is the easiest way to bring about your own demise.

    • @tommybrown187
      @tommybrown187 9 лет назад +8

      what they were saying is trying to make it within this system doesn't get u freedom. u need to knock this beast off with force so u can build your own. force can only respect force. if u want sovereignty u won't be able to get it under their jurisdiction, laws, and rule!

      I'm not going to go back and forth over it. All I will say is do your research. Greenwood was rebuilt and ultimately died later because of integration/desegregation. Once Blacks were allowed to go and spend money in white instituions, that signaled the end for Black Wallstreet.

    Keep teaching Bobby, some of us are listening. Zo get off the fence, and Corey you're a funny guy, but advocating and inciting violence to an army of our brothers and sisters who are ill equipped to handle such a war is ludicrous. That's just what they want us to do so they can have an excuse to have tanks on our front lawns without repercussions.

  • @Jthrillz728

    Bobby isnt a sellout or a house nigga. He's just an elder and like majority of all elders specifically our real black elders. In their senior stages of life they are looking for civility and like he agreed with negotiations, they have been through that fighting and rebelling period which dissolves once your older because as you age the one and only thing that you desire is peace because your reaching closer to the after life. This is why his perspective sounds completely off balance.

    I'm about an hour and 5 minutes into this. I have got to say that this is one of the most frustrating shows I have ever viewed from 5150. Corey did give a disclaimer at the beginning that he was basically going through something. I'm glad they talked during the break. I don't know if he is, but I could see how Bobby would become a little frustrated by the language that Zo is using. It's as if him saying "I agree with Bobby/I see what Bobby is saying" is providing approval. Bobby is a grown ass man and the elder on this show. While Corey is saying that the youth in the streets wouldn't listen to Bobby, I feel like folks who are 30something like me want to hear a strategy. Why alienate either group? There are a lot of people out there who are willing to act and sacrifice....they just aren't sure what to do and where to start. It seems like that's what Bobby was getting at with his "What next" question. I appreciate the show and will continue to watch and share.

    I hear both points from Corey and Bobby. Corey is saying that the money always keep you attached to the enemy. Bobby is saying that money is the exchange for things in this country. You have to look at the give and take of both points. Zo made a point that hit the nail on the head...if you didnt create your mindset of what success is (paraphrasing) then what is your definition of success..Redefine your success not the oppressor.

    Wow Corey bro, you are a funny dude and you definitely kick knowledge sometimes, but you are a grown ass man acting like a teenagers. You work with the young, but you don't allow them to lead blindly. Bobby, an old head, who has had the same passion and anger multiple times, including in the 60s. This brother is trying to help us prepare for a real revolution without committing the mistakes of the past. Those young heads out there are no more angry or capable than we were in the 90s and Bobby and the Panthers were in the 60s, so it takes more than anger and violence--I won't say burning shit down because I think white people burned those building down--but we can't just get high off anger and other emotions. It has been over two months since the verdict, and two other young brothers have been murdered, where are is the youth now. Corey, again, you are a smart brother but some of your thoughts have to mature, simply stated: bro, you gotta grow the fuck up! You sounding like a teenager when you are a grown ass man.

    Unless you get to the core of black on black violence and resolve that, nothing will change. Because without addressing that issue, you can't resolve the underlying actual issue which is lack of unity in Black America. These men who are very good friends can't even get on one accord on this podcast. How do you think any plan of action in Black America will work with this type of undercurrent?

    Corey and Zo make good points but they fail to get what Bobby is saying... How do you feed your people when you go into war, the war that corey is building up.. Because most of the war ever fought was lost because of hunger, so before you go into war, you need to make solid plans with a source of feeding people and providing basic medical care, by getting money to pay external sources if needed, else you loose that war. So Bobby makes the best point, but it was lost because corey and Zo are focused on other things

Either things are gonna be bloody before black people are respected.

      Thank you Chuck. I understood Bobby's point whole heartedly. I don't understand this whole not negotiating with the enemy. You can negotiate with the enemy with them enough to kill them. The only solution I see to the white supremacy problem is to kill them, I could be a killer but until someone presents me with sustenance, provisions, fuel & focus; I can't do anything. I see a lot of complaining on Facebook & Tumblr but like someone said about stans; no one has a mind of their own. Corey & Zo better understand Bobby.

One year has passed since I lost my beloved cat and I haven't been the same. There is a void there that can't be filled with another animal or person. I miss her and cry for her EVERY single day. I will likely grieve her absense for the rest of my life on this earth. She was a huge part of my life and she was truly the epitomy and essense of love outside of God. Everyone has great points in this show. I think where Bobby and Corey's ideas butt heads is at the point where Corey is ready to fight and die and Bobby has faith in the judicial system. Bobby thinks that money will level the playing field. Corey thinks that money's value is a figment of the world's imagination and that money has no real value, consequently making it impossible to bring about equitable change. Bobby is right when he says we have to be strategic. He'd make an excellent urban planner. He'd be great for re-building society after a revolution. Corey is right when he basically expresses the old adage that "power concedes nothing without a fight". He'd be an inspiration in the trenches and in war rooms. Corey is correct in stating that there will always be some scheme to devalue your monetary power or lawful status.
    Think about Wesley Snipes. When that brotha tried to take revolutionary minded men into the woods to learn the same tactical training that white militia mems in America teach one another, the gov't used tax evasion as a way to crush his attempts. Think about it...basically the gov't said, "N*gga, if you have 1 penny left over after paying your debts to fund militia training amongst blacks, than you have 2 pennies, too many and we won't stand for that." Black ppl aren't ALLOWED to plan, practice or plot ANYTHING if it doesn't ultimately lead black folks to spending every red cent they have on American commerce.
    Zo and Darlene remind me of most blacks...just waiting to be led but not fit to lead. They'd take orders well. They have interesting ideas but both are afraid to contradict Corey or Bobby - the two with unrelenting ideologies. Zo & Dee are looking to bandwagon jump once the wheels stop turning so fast.
    But for now:
    Blacks don't save, they cave...
    Blacks aren't prepared, they're scared...

    Those European tribes that brought down Rome did not try to monetize and operate in their system. They capitalized off Rome's internal conflicts and foreign campaigns of conquest (spreading forces wide and limiting security at home) to bring that nation down to ruin. There was no negotiations.

    Corey lost mad cool points in this episode..He was very disrespectful to Bobby and he even let Darlene sneak diss him..Corey keep talking revolution with no game plan he's so scared of the White Man that he literally can't see no way out..problems don't fix themselves we have to fix em and Bobby is on the right train of thought.. Corey is confused and scared..Zo needs to realize he's a yes man in hindsight and not as smart as he think he is..Darlene needs to get a personality and Bobby keep fighting the good fight.

    Zo, you are a smart brother and you sat on the sideline, when you should have been supporting Bobby's grown folk logic more, instead of reinforcing Corey's passionate immature rhetoric.If you support Corey's immature logic, then you aren't as smart as I assumed. Bobby has been through similar shit like this before, he is an elder/old head. Corey is acting like this is the first time black folk--the black youth-- have been fucked over and been angry about it.
