- A short television interview / portrait of Michael Kamen, one of the most gifted and versatile composers who ever worked in movies. His credits included Brazil, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, the Lethal Weapon movies, the Die Hard movies, Mr. Holland's Opus and X-Men. This particular segment was produced while Kamen was at work on the score for Lethal Weapon 3.
I do not own this material -- nor have I monetized this video -- which is presented solely for educational purposes.
Taken far too early, yet forever immortalized.
I miss him so much. Ah that room where he was composing at his home in London. I was there once, and he played for us.
What I wouldn't give for this legend's "The Wall" score to be released.
I miss that guy...
I put him up there with John Williams and James Horner as one of the best to ever do it for film - he was so brilliant. Robin Hood is still probably my favorite movie theme song ever created - it is so moving and motivating that I often will cry a little listening to it. This guy was a genius...
Don't forget Jerry Goldsmith
Love his music.
great. I just saw LW1-3 with my girlfriend and had to check if there were ANY making ofs about the music. thanks for sharing
I miss Michael Kamen so much. I grew up with the Lethal Weapon film series and Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. And they picked a lovely interviewer this. Thanks so much for uploading this, it means a lot. Thanks 😊.
Maestro, you are missed.
