Nice honest review. Met this guy while at work and i can say he’s very down to earth. I remember him using Oneplus 6 and uses android auto as expected.
Now this guy talks with sense, not because he is famous. He knows what he is talking about and better choice of words. I could take him seriously as a reviewer, better than the previous reviewer Vince Arcilla.. Man that guy is like listening to trash talk of a review. LOL
Yeah he is knowledgable. Many, if not most Civic owners doesn't know Android Auto or Apple Car Play. One of the major considerations too. Have the E as well.
Hoy tanga! Read well! The title of the video emphasizes on “Car owner Review”. "Horsepower and torque? Handling and acceleration?"??? - This is not a technical review. You probably are looking for results coming from a dynamometer and telemetry logger; look somewhere else.. This review is coming from a lay person or your normal consumer/owner. In argument, he owns the car and it is not his job in this video to be technical at any rate. It is his real world review at an owner’s perspective or experience. In fact, he knows well the features of the car because he owns it. Yes, he knows what he is talking about; owner siya eh, he daily drives it and gives a damn about certainties about the car he chose and bought. I needed to be redundant, because you might have poor comprehension. Anyhow, his review is very good IMO.

Hey this was a really good review. Very casual and from someone who has owned and driven it for months. I thought it was very honest and straightforward. Dindin mentioned a lot of finer details that formal reviewers will simply miss. Kudos!

I had only driven one other new car and that is a 2007 civic hybrid. Ever since I drove it, I instantly fell in love with the quietness and smoothness of the Honda Civic. Which is why, now that I am looking for another car I am still looking at the Honda civic to see how it has progressed over they years. I am not dissapointed. Personally, I like the exterior aesthetics as well as well as the fuel efficiency. ^_^
It's a shame Honda doesn't deliver latest gen Civic with that engine on European market...
That 1.8 naturally aspirated engine is indestructible. Probably the best engine Honda ever made.

i got the 2014 version of this car, with knobs instead of screens, i love it. very basic and intuitive. it's not very fast in accelerating but then again u can only drive the speed limit anyway, it's got enough power for everyday driving.
Very nice review sir! Actually addressing yung user experience. My wife and I bought the exact same model and color (WIP) May-ish this year and up to date we are still in awe of the car like it was when we first saw it during its releasing at the Honda showroom. Before our purchase we were kind of torn between this variant vs the RS and after some time we figured that this is the ultimate value-for-money option, after all we were looking for an all-around family sedan that will provide comfort and per experience with very decent power/displacement and agility din sa highway or when overtaking only when you need to push it, since dito sa Pinas with the present road conditions and traffic we don’t really need blazing fast cars to cover our day to day trips. Cheers!

To answer your question, the tint applied is the 3M Brand Medium Magic Tint. The dealer installed it after I purchased the car. But once we have clear guidelines on the standardisation of car window tints, I might have it uninstalled and have a lighter shade applied. Maganda nga tignan. Mukhang madilim sa labas, pero maliwanag naman sa loob.
Hi Sir.. read some reviews that 3m magic tint affects ur phone signal/data. Is it true po? Will be getting my civic tom and planning to install same tint. Same with other's comment - ur review convinced me to get this model!
@@annmoji6001 - I haven't noticed any signal drop. If ever naman meron, I'm sure that it is negligible.

I like this car, what I only dont like about this car is the cvt transmission. maganda lang pag bago, pag naluma na nagiging jerky na.
Actually, i like the CVT on my Civic. There is a certain way of driving it to get it's full potential. Yes, it may feel slow and cumbersome if you just mash down the gas in a linear way, but when you blip the accelerator pedal during a high rev just when the i-VTEC kicks in, it will seem like it shifts down a gear to give you the acceleration you are looking for. Turn off the ECON mode and shift to S, the 1.8 E Civic turns into a different beast. It seems it also has the rev matching feature during shifts (just like in the FK Type-R) to make it feel sportier.
As with all types of transmissions, daily use will subject it to the usual wear and tear. Just keep in mind some tips to make your transmission last longer. Aside from the usual trips to the casa or mechanic for periodic maintenance, do not keep the gear on Drive and stepping on the brake when stuck in traffic. This will cause more wear and tear on the gears and crankshaft. Better, shift to Neutral and step on the brake or engage the parking brake. Doing this will prolong the life of your transmission.

@@DindinMoreno yes it will be subject to wear and tear, the only issue there is that it becomes jerky because its belt driven compared to the conventional 5 speed automatic transmission which has mechanical gears. one thing that is positive with cvt transmission is that its more refine and you dont feel the shift shock, and its more designed for fuel economy.

Thanks for the vid!! Also for the 7 months span, have you experienced any maint issues with the civic?
On the third month the motor of the windshield washer shorted out. Nonetheless, Honda Pasig replaced it free of charge since it was still under warranty. Other than that, no other issues.
Update: After almost a year of using the Civic, I noticed some noise whenever I turned the steering wheel. When I brought the Civic to Honda Cars Pasig to be serviced, they told me that the power steering gear box had to be replaced. Good thing the 3 year warranty still covers it. Had it replaced for no charge!
Hi boss dindin,gamit mo parin ba itong civic e 2017 mo? Kakakuha lang namin ng 2019 civic e and im worried sa cvt transmission nya. So far wala ka bang slipping transmission problem na naeencounter?
@@homepaslupa_moto1240 - Yup! Naging daily driver ko na itong Civic. 2 years na siya and 21k kms na ang naitakbo. And I'm proud to day, parang bago pa rin ang performance niya. Just be sure to follow the maintenance schedule!

Ano po highest and lowest avrg nyo sa city and highway driving?
Now it is averaging 8.5km/L since December 2017. Not bad since mostly city driving ako. The best hiway consumption i was able to achieve was 20km/L. Pero actually hindi siya hiway. National road lang ng Cavite yun. I posted it on my IG account.

@@christianjakerulloda133 - Depends on the driving style. Kung relaxed cruise lang sa hiway, I was able to eke out 17-18km/L. Pero nung medyo aggressive ako, i was still able to achieve around 11km/L.

depends really on how heavy your right foot is. I can squeeze 18-20 kms out of a liter of unleaded gas on a clear provincial road here in iloilo. In the city, just about 8-11kmpl pretty consistent with sir Dindins figure. The best I had was 24 kmpl but it really takes skill and patience to get that.hehee

Nope. The only Civic variant here with a manual transmission is the Type-R. 😲
Lang kwenta yung voice activated kailangan pang naka connect sa Phone na android samantalang yung sa Ford sync NG Everest voice command sya sa lahat ng bagay like usb mp3 radio phone at climate control. Yung din brake lock pautot lang yun pwede naman ilagay sa Park kapag nasa stop light. Gusto ko lang yung start na kahit wala ka sa sasakyan like sa Mercedes noon.
Uhm, kaya nga sinabi ko na 'you don't have to shift to PARK when in traffic' e. It can reduce the wear and tear from continuously shifting from P to D to P to D to P to D to P when stuck in snail-pace traffic. At may voice activated functions pa rin naman yung Civic kahit hindi nakakabit yung phone...
@@DindinMoreno I don't want to nitpick but you also commented that in order to reduce wear and tear in the transmission you should avoid engaging the brakes while the car is on D. So that means putting it on P, right? Now you're saying brake hold is better than putting it in P. I'm a bit confused

I did mention that I was 6 feet tall. And that Alfred, the person behind me was 6'1". With the average height of the male Filipino pegged at 5'4.4", how often will you see 2 six-footers sitting front and back of each other here in the Philippines? Oh yeah, it couldn't be seen on cam, but Alfred still had a few inches of headroom to spare.
The reason why I pressed the hazard was because we were driving along the main road in UP Diliman. If you have been there lately, you would notice that stopping along the main road is not allowed anymore. That is why I pressed the hazard button to tell the cars behind me that I am parked on the road. Ok, next time, i'll press the hazard button when it rains hard...
