Happy Easter. You are my favorite car mechanic, rebuilder. Live long to show us more of yours fantastic repairs. All best and God bless not only America but also your hands.
Impressive fabrication work, especially the straight to square on the back of the tunnel, with a coffee can no less. Subscribed and looking forward to watching the rest of this build.
Great sheet netal work Austin ! The complex cuts and angles were definitely a lot of work. Maybe you can use camper shell foam tape on the removable tunnel .
Straight up artist. I’ve done some body work with curves and angles. I cannot tell you how frustrating it is. You inspire me to keep going in my older Tacoma. Great work man.
@@austinniemela what is the voltage and amperage that you used in the welding machine to join the thin plates? sorry for my bad english, I don't speak very well
That’s awesome, I hope you go all out in this one, at least as nice as your two Tacoma trucks. There are some sweet FJs online and with your skills you can be right up there with them
You know, after the last toyota pick up "resto-project" i'm scared. Please pleae pleaee Austin, for that's holy do a whole body restoration with a custon painjob and all! Please please, this car deserves it!
Are you going to stick with leaf springs? In Australia 80 series coil conversion is pretty much standard. Also you get better diffs slightly wider and better brakes .
Austin, Be careful with an undercoating/sealants that won't set up like Fluid Film or Surface Shield that stuff can creep out of pinch and lap seams long after it's applied and cause you FITS when you're trying to prep for final prime and paint. After the final paint then yea get that all protected. Also, congratulations on the Milwaukee shear. Order a replacement cutter for the shear now. Trust me you'll snap that sucker at the worst time.
@@austinniemela I have a red 73 with an SBC and no way I'm doing anything form scratch where factory quality parts are available for 150 bucks. Thats a factory 4 speed trans so don't toss any of it. with the SBC bellhousing its worth over 1000 at least. Are there any cruiser guys around your area?
You are a design and fabrication genius. This FJ is going to be incredible
Thanks!! I’m excited for this build!

You are one talented fella! I am very impressed. I wish I could fabricate as good as you
this videos are more interesting than any Netflix series
It's always satisfying to watch you work. Perfection is a must. Good job man.
It always astonishes me watching you just make whatever is needed for a project.
Wow, I LOVE your video! I'm currently working on the floor pans on my "75 FJ40 and your video is an inspiration! Thanks a million!
Great build series
Awesome content
Love all the hard work
You made that look so easy. As for the gasket maybe try a butyl type that is sold in a roll? Can't wait to see what's next!

Great sheet netal work Austin !
The complex cuts and angles were definitely a lot of work.

Beautiful Work
Хороший проект как и сам объект. С удовольствием смотрю вашу работу.
Your doing it right and makes it easier if you have to come back and work on it
What would be awesome as far as seats go is get a folding bench seat. An old school seat for an old school ride!
Wow bro. Looks great. Nice job
YESS fav build is back!!!
Well done!
Dude! You're a metal artist!

Hello sir .very nice design
احسنت يا اوستن
Looking good
What is the amperage and voltage that you use in the MIG welding machine to repair the bodywork? sorry for my english, I don't speak very well
i hope you raptor line the bottom after cleaning up rust. IT would look sick a dark green raptor lined outside
I was just about to ask about the bead roller 😅 good to know thanks #toyonation
16 gauge seems much easier to weld than 18 or thinner. I had no problem making a TDI oil pan with 16, but I struggle to weld 18 gauge body panels.
Love the new metal cutter. The old grinder method gets old.
Nice man
This is gonna be sweet!
Love it ❤
Use steelit it’s paint you can weld through.
Spray some lube on the steel when using the nibbler, works smoother.
Bravissimo 👍
Austin looked like Tony Stark in the first Iron Man movie for a second there 😂

make it look easy. are you planning on using OEM bench seat style or you upgrading to newer bucket seats?
coming along!
Thanks! I’ll probably do some sort of bucket seats
Good morning Austin. what thickness of sheet did you use?
What gauge sheet metal did you use for your repairs
Looking good! What color combo do you have in mind?
I have no idea yet! Thanks!
I just hope it won't be a pain to fake it off in case you need to run wires in the future.
so much room for a shmick shifter and.... CUPHOLDERS the thing landcruisers lack most
Monster fab
Will this build be part of your fleet or you planning on selling? Thanks!
Wow
perfect 👌
👉🇧🇷✌️
💪💪
Let's go
better🖐
👍👍🔥🔥
why not just buy the panels? They are made using original stampings.
Your trans tunnel is sick. Really nice professional job with home style tools.
Why not build them?! I’m not made of money!! Thank you!!

Since your basically customising the vehicle why not relocate gas tank between frame rails out of interior
I don’t necessarily see a issue with the tank inside, except it is protected and leaves much more room for suspension in the rear!
Dom't buy anothr bead roller. There is a dude on youtube that made his owm. Channel is called "Make It Kustom".
Plees now speak
