Hi Rick! my dad was part of team Philippines in this competition and he was one of the people who approached you for a photo! it means the world to me and I appreciate you giving him the time. All love to you and your game Ricky Slicks! ❤️
Seb’s game is a really great example that I think people are normally ashamed of. He respects his distance, there is no imposter syndrome, and he scores well in the first 6 holes from what I can see so far. That important for us high handicappers. You don’t have to hit the ball far you have to respect your game and pick the right clubs. Thank you seb and Rick
@@blue24563 lol I literally averaged that off the tee today. My best drive was 290 today and 295 yesterday. It was 55°F today and I hit 6 out 8 drivers today the 260-290. Had two 4 irons off the tee around 220, and four 5 woods around 240. The rest were par 3s. Shot an 89 today too. It must suck be so negative all the time about other peoples golf game.
Get Seb on a podcast ASAP. Really interesting takes on the game, relatable to a lot of golfers but with low confidence, "only hitting it 240" etc. Seems like a right nice guy as well
Loved watching Seb - as a few others have noted, one of the few RUclips golfers who carries the ball around (and possibly even a smidge less) than me, but such a good golfer. Relatable and we can all learn a lot from the way he thinks through his shots (e.g. how to lay up!). Good on you Rick, too - can see the lingering brittle confidence, but to battle through it like that and hit with such consistency when it mattered at the end… class act.
I've noticed rick plays his best when he's confident, but his worst when he's timid and not confident, just a mind set change is all he needs I think. Like even if he pretends to be confident it works.
I think I missed the last time you had this guest on with you, but he was cool. Adds a good energy to the episode. I like the way he talks through his thoughts and process. Great episode. Glad break 75 is back!
Another terrific video. Seb is Mr. Consistency - very straight, hardly ever in trouble and some really wonderful pitch shots. There is a lot of movement on his backswing (standing up) but it all comes back together at ball impact. Combine Seb's short game with Rick's better drives, you guys would be breaking 65! Great banter and support between you willing each other on.
Seb is a great example of that type of player that just makes good scoring easy. Clearly he’s come something restricting his movement, hence the funky swing and short distance, but he makes it work and is very effective. Great example how to become effective at consistent ball striking and scoring
Love seeing Seb on the channel. Does a great job of explaining his game, explaining how he is managing the course. Hope to see him back again in the future 👍🏻
I really admire Sebs golf game, his backswing is a bit odd which I know is due to back problems but I love how real he is! Such a relatable golfer. Also Rick, your swing is looking phenomenal!! Loving the videos!
The relief from Seb has he hits that one in close on the last, great round of golf. Very generous of you to show him the way to the hole as well Rick but I reckon the nerves got the better of him. We'll head over now and give the boy a sub' 👍
Seb is wonderful! This is my first time seeing him and I'll be looking for some of his videos. Very refreshing and helpful takes. Plus he is almost scratch but hitting his driver/irons the distance I hit mine or even a bit shorter which is such a reminder of what really matters in golf. Rick is great as usual. Can't get enough of these rounds...
Great video, as always, Rick & CO! Seb's positivity is truly remarkable for a golfer of any skill level. Seb is also proof positive that you don't have to hit the golf ball a mile to be a fantastic player! That being said, the difference between Seb and most golfers is that he's realistic and honest with himself with how far he does carry his clubs! Foolish pride will kill your score faster than any bad shot ever thought about!!! Fun to watch, guys!
@@SebOnGolf Yes, sir! You're sticking those wedge shots, my friend! What wedges are you hitting, if you don't mind my asking? No big deal. I appreciate the reply! Just earned a new subscriber! Lol. I've been meaning to for a while to be totally honest.
When I was teaching I was the worst I've ever been. Knowing the swing and doing it are two different things. Teachers never get to practice and are bullied by the club members. We get into bad habits, and never get out of them. This isn't being salty, this is my experience, when working at a private club.
Congratulations, Rick! Driver was on fire this round. And Seb was such a welcome addition, you two have great chemistry. Nice to see a different strategy plot their way around the course.
One of my favorite videos, loved the course. Loved Seb, favorite golfer you played with besides Guy(his the best). Seb game is like mine driver 250 max, loved it😊
I swear, if Rick had the mental approach of Seb, he would be breaking 75 on ALL of these episodes, if not 70. EVERY time he hits a bad shot it's "Damn...{heavy sigh}... so disappointing... {heavy sigh}... don't know what happened there... {as he lines up the next shot} GOTTA let that last one go, but I wish I could hit it again." If you are STILL TALKING ABOUT THE LAST SHOT AS YOU'RE LINING UP THE NEXT ONE, YOU HAVEN'T LET IT GO. Meanwhile, Seb hits a bad shot, and it's more like "I got away with one there, could have been worse" or, "I can make something work from there". He's doing an instant positive re-frame. Meanwhile Rick is absolutely FLOGGING himself every time he hits a bad one. Plus all of the "now I need to shoot such-and-such over the last XX holes to break 75" comments, when he should be focused ONLY ON THE NEXT SHOT. If you are re-living the last (bad) shot as you're hitting the next one, the chances of another bad shot are vastly increased. Rick - maybe you already have a sports psychologist or mental coach, but if not, PLEASE get one. Your swing is absolutely good enough to break 75 regularly. Your mental approach is killing you. Seems like you are entering every Break 75 episode with this nagging "hope I don't embarrass myself again" demon lurking in the back of your mind, and then the first bad shot of the day starts the downward spiral. Today you did a much better job of fighting back and getting re-oriented, but I think your 74 could have been a 70 or 71. Let the bad shot go immediately; I know it's RUclips so you have to comment on it for the camera. Just say something like, "well that was certainly not what I hoped for" and DROP IT. The next shot is ALL you should be concerned with. Cheers on the 74, and Seb... just goes to show that the short but consistent hitters can score VERY well when the short game is also working.
Finally got around to finish watching this video & I gotta say: sure Seb has a little bit of a “funky” swing but geez he can get it around well! Also can’t understand why he’s getting all the shit from everyone? Seems like a great fella, was always supportive of Rick & trying to pump him up. @SebOnGolf if you’re ever in Australia, I’d love to have a game with you!

Great entertainment, thanks. Rick battling back after those first few holes was great. I almost quit the video but sure glad I stayed. Strong effort. Seb works hard on every hole and shooting under par is amazing. Your standup move does make it a little more difficult to be consistent but you are really disciplined going down through the ball and made so many good shots. Way to go.
It's great to see such a good player as Seb, who doesn't hit it any farther than most folk do. You don't need to bomb it 300 yards and hit a 9-iron 150 yards to play decent golf!

Hopefully your back issue clears up pal. And that people know that you are much much more than your backswing!! Cheers.
Great golf mate, Jim Furyk had a funny back swing, it doesn't matter.
You kept the ball in play and scored well, that's all that counts.
Well played Seb, dont think anyone mocking your backswing would shoot better than you did
Came to ask was pleasantly surprised to already see you had answered lol
I've seen unorthodox swings before but they still manage to make it work. Like they say, there's no pictures on a scorecard 😂

Seb was great ! Loved his explanation on his shots as well as sharing his mental game
The fact my guy Seb is off a 2 handicap with that backswing gives me so much hope for myself.
Facts. That back swing gotta be messed up 😂😂😂
I dont understand why he hit a 9 iron from 128 n then a 4 from 198

I think Seb just showed me a totally new way to look at golf and shots. The mindset feels perfect for constant improvement of game
