- Currently my favourite song from the UK AOR band FM, although The Dream That Died and Can You Hear Me Calling are up there too. I don't think it's too hard to guess why this song ticks my melodic rock buttons... :P

Great stuff! FM is a tragically unknown band here in the US. I love their kind of music, but I had never even heard of them (along with Airrace) until a couple years ago.

Excellent work! If you can, please cover "Feels So Good" by those brilliant British AOR guys (also released on the same album, "Tough It Out"). I love both songs (the one I mentioned and this one you just played).
It's a chord progression similar to Photograph and Animal. It kind of sounds like Survivor meets Def Leppard. Interesting the audio quality sounds like early pro tools, like LE8. I've used just about every DAW (you name it) but I might try the older version for fun. Great cover! I'll check out the bands info ~

Tough It Out is a classic album and my favourite British AOR album. At the time of its release in 89 many of their 'fans' weren't happy with it, saying they had become too Americanised. I thought it was exceptional and loved the slick production. You should check out my mate Tony's album 'In Faith - There's a Storm Coming' that came out in 2014. It's a similar style to FM and I'm pretty sure you'll love it. He's working on the follow-up just now but it will have a different singer.

I didn't change too much to what I normally do but the chorus is definitely more present.

Half gain overdrive/distortion with a compressor on it, bit of reverb, delay and chorus where suits.:)
