Hey Josh,
if you want to try a fun deck with *Valgavoth* as your _(secret)_ commander,
make an Old Stickfingers deck with Valgavoth as the only creature in your deck.
This way, you'll have Valgavoth in your graveyard latest on turn three and you'll be able to reanimate him.
It's super fun and you actually get to play Valgavoth and his shenanigans!

Base CMC of 9? Kinda makes sense why it's not particularly great as a Commander given the pay-off, or lack thereof, relative to how much it costs to cast

Being able to exile your opponent's cards is pretty neat (for you) though. It almost functions as a blackmail deck, since it's mono black, and you're aiming to mill their deck. "Blackmill deck"?

Thank you for this stinker commander Josh! Been waiting for a video like this and I was pleasantly surprised! I never thought Valgavoth would be hard to cast in brawl but it makes complete sense! Great as a trick in a mono black deck but yeah he is almost never coming out as a commander. Hope you are having a good week Josh
@@Johnaroth kinda frustrating that as a format, certain mana costs are just restricting their use and means the format basically gets compounded into the same old cards 😕

@@victorserras sadly, streaming requires a lot of time to do and that's so hard when I'm constantly getting interrupted by my kids 😁
As for music, my original videos did have it but people complained it was off-putting so finding the right balance is gonna be key
@@MTGJosh perhaps a follow up compilation? I've started learning video editing and I'm planning on putting some compilations of my 5c Prismatic Bridge deck together for some mates who don't get why I love trolling Hell Queue with it.

Probably not the best commander to have. I've seen Valgavoth get dropped immediately despite his ward cost. Lots of edict effects and wraths that bypass the ward.
