  • Dodgers rookie sensation Cody Bellinger in the 2007 Little League World Series. I feel every bit of my age right now seeing this but what a great example of what our kids can accomplish. I show this to my girls who play Little League and are huge Cody fans and their eyes light up when they see how a kid just like them is now a major league ball player.

      Most boys don’t hit their big growth spurt until late middle school or high school. Ages 12-14/15 are always awkward cuz the girls grow faster at a young age.
      Not to mention his father was 6 ft 3 and a pro athlete, so it’s in his genes.

    Haha. Orel hershiser was the color commentator and now that is what he is for the dodgers. That must be cool watching and commentator somebody special at age 12 and then commentating them in the majors.

    Don't know who this kid is, but here's my scouting report: Tall and strong. Has immense power to all parts of the field. Good eye, gets on base. Capable of stolen bases. Athletic, can play all three OF positions and first base. Would draft in the top 5 overall. Wouldn't hesitate to draft first overall. Wonder how he will turn out.

    OK lets end this once and for all. It's Gary Thorne on play by play with Orel Herscheiser on color. If you google "Gary Thorne Little League" you will see that Gary and Orel were a regular pairing for the LLWS before ESPN dropped hockey and Gary moved on to being the Orioles PBP guy.

      dds2190 yes, Gary Thorne worked the 2007 LLWS but he was the Play by Play announcer for the International SemiFinals pool. Here it was Orel Hershiser and Brent Musburger.
