Yes Aswad have always been awesome - seen them many times live - now as we are all getting older and fewer tours - I wish Aswad would release some of their concerts on video/DVD - I would be first in line to buy their live concert videos/dvds/bluereay or whatever format - I have all their albums and yes have some favorites - but can't think of a single song that was not good - which is amazing - bummer that BF split as he set a unique tone to the band as well - just so many that have never heard of Aswad - but all I introduce to Aswad like them - hope Aswad will continue and produce more tunes as only they can

The track in question is not "Promise Land" but "Dub Fire." From Aswad's New Chapter in Dub. "Promise Land" by Dennis Brown is actually the third recording of the song. The original is "Love Fire," on New Chapter on CBS Records. Love Fire featured Brinsley Dan.

This song is called "Love Fire" (1981), but they are playing ina dub style called "Dub Fire" (1981). Dennis Brown recorded this song two years later and called "Promised Land"

@@audleymclean610 Please tell us what you know. Standard search does support what Luri says but it would be so cool to see the reality shown. I got to see Aswad play this live in birmingham carnival and it was amazing. the world didn't exist to me during those few minutes.
