I've finished watching all your videos now Maddie. What a journey! You have inspired me so much, not least to write more of the lyrical prose I love creating and to not only get out into nature often, but to really engage with all my senses when I'm there.

I've been a nomad for over 30 years now in Oregon. there is no other place like it. especially finding that just right camp away from people. Anyway you have a great trip and time with you're family. peace out
So fun to watch. There is a sense of peacefulness about your videos... so nice to see.
People who have never spent significant amounts of time in a very small space like a van RV or a camper don't understand how quickly they get dirty and how quickly you can clean them. When we're camping in our small camper I probably clean it three or four times a day including wiping down the counters and sweeping the floor. The thing is it only takes 5 minutes to do and if it's not done the thing turns into a disaster very quickly.

I always thought Lake Superior was the deepest lake in the United States. That was my Michiganian mind taking control. Thank you for teaching me that Superior doesn't appear until number 4, way below Crater Lake.
Thank you for noticing! It takes a certain kind of soul. I fight fires here in Oregon every fire season for a living and let me tell you that seeing you be so happy in the forest that I see burn is an eye opener, gives me more drive. I don't get to see the beautiful landscape or the forest anymore unfortunately but seeing somebody be happy makes me feel like I achieved my goals, the sacrifice I make is for the better good. Safe travels!

I find it quite easy to believe you clean your van every morning. I wish I found it hard to believe someone actually said you don’t.
The moment I am grateful for is I can separate necessary things and unnecessary things I have to care for. I was thinking people's thoughts and feelings about me too much. But I can stand up alone not by taking care of people's unfair demands. Confidence makes me decide to do what I really want without considering harmful things in my life. The results and outcomes by my actions come effects back to them. I am so satisfied after leaving my bad family, hometown and even country. Also, I am so grateful for starting a new life that I've nevert tried before. 😁

At Walmart their are blue mechanic towels get the heavy duty roll and buy ivory not Sented soap.they have oil so you feel coated & hot. I cut it into 3 piece and get the Small spray bottle at the sample rack. This towel is weak better that kitchen towels you see how clean you can get as you can clean the towel between wash. And I used the roll to clean my front gasll when their dew. Can get every inch in a few pass

Not sure if it says a lot about the power of your video, or it explains a little something about the dreamer who lives with me inside my head. But I just made myself a cup of coffee.( I didn't even know I had coffee!! ). I drink herb tea; and herb tea alone. So as I type this I'm waiting to taste the drink filling my nostrils. It is akin to waiting to be hit by the first wave of a Tsunami. I'm excited; cautious; really don't want to be here right now. But I NEED to have a couple of sips of the coffee to help imbued me of the freedom and independence elements of your life. Sorry, Maddie. This is the way my mind talks. Which explains why I spend a lot of my time sitting in metaphorical corners talking to myself!

Great video...I liked the pine forest and your drone clips. I noticed something in your video at the 8:04 minute mark, that looked like an Indian Mound....interesting. Maybe I am just seeing mounds because that was the topic of my last video, but you got me looking on google earth to see if there is any information I can find on ancient American sites in that area. Crater lake looks awesome! I hope to visit there one day! Congratulations to your mom on getting married! Look forward to the next video!

Lol, people say the weirdest, sometimes most obnoxious, things. Some of us need pretty clean/organized spaces to function. Maybe not everyone cleans their space daily, but certainly some of do. I was just with two other friends. One friend is super clean, I’m in the middle, and one friend is not the cleanest. Also I imagine with filming in your van so often,
You’d need a clean space.
Crater Lake is one of my favorites. We parked creekside at a snowmobile park and met people who changed our whole trip and convinced us to beeline to Boulder, Utah to visit Hell’s Backbone Farm and Grill which I would do again in a heartbeat. Besides it being a magical place (I think you’d love it) the area of Grand Staircase Escalante is incredibly beautiful. Thanks for reminding me what a nice chance encounter I had at Crater!
This is my "neck of the woods". I grew up in Southern Oregon, then left to explore the world, literally. Now back and thankful that I am. So much beauty in the world but none surpasses that which I'm fortunate to experience here at HOME.
