I am VERY pro surgery, but when you complain about wrinkles in your toe that's when you need to realize you have issues that surgery or filler won't fix.

Typically a huge reason why this is a thing is because some people’s toes are too long compared to the big toe which causes a LOT of pain. My cousin had to get this done and she said all the pain was worth it because of how bad her feet hurt due to shoes jamming into her second toe. Some people do that for cosmetic purposes which is meh. Lol
I have this kind of toe and realized it's giving me pain. I would want this surgery.
I would question any doctor who would operate on a painted toe. That's a huge no-no, the chance of infection is increased so much and no decent medical professional would risk that.

Yes!! 100% anytime you have a surgery the entire area should be cleaned and sterilized.
Micro gaps between the nail and the polish allow for micro bacteria to grow. Bacteria loves dark places like this, as well as moisture (ie. wet toes post shower, sweat, etc)
I had to remove all nail polish and cut my nails short before I had my nose done, my doctor was super strict about it. And that was my nose. Crazy that a doctor would allow you to have nail polish when literally operating on your foot 😳🥺
Your hands and feet are so incredibly important, we often take them for granted until we get injured or loose ability to use one of them. They are also incredibly complex anatomically. I am really glad you are sharing all this, I feel like the doctors office made it seem like a minor surgery and we’re nonchalant about it, but it is a very big decision. In my opinion, any hand/foot that works, is beautiful, I would never have elective surgery on my feet or hands, but to each their own.

Girl lots of us tried to warn you on that surgery & how that doctors office was so sketchy & based on what your saying they were acting weird, not wearing proper uniform, they did surgery with nail polish on your toes, & the extra skin they left, a whole mess.

I still can't believe you did this, not bc it's bad or anything, but bc it seems so... difficult? Like, having the patience to wait for a whole year for something to heal, let alone your foot, the part of the body that supports, taking care of it, going to the doctor every few weeks, enduring the pain and all... it just seems mentally and physically exhausting to me and the fact you seem to have handled it amazingly is just so cool to me!

I have same kind of toes but my second toe is much longer than hers and it comes with complications actually when wearing closed shoes
in her other video she said it was not done for beauty but it was medical as necessary
To be honest every surgery takes a year to see full results your body needs that much time to heal properly. You may not feel pain or not be swollen for a year but that’s what it takes for the humain body to be fully healed and see the final results

I have to say I was a bit surprised by this as well & I went back to look at the 2nd photo she showed bcse the whole thing just didn't appear too sterile to me - I saw a hair and some white pieces of what looked like lint - perhaps from a gauze pad or something. Also, I do know the blue "covers" that dr's wear for surgery do have a sort of easy for lint, hair etc to stick to type of material... I don't mean to be snarky or anything - just something I noticed that made me take a second look. And when I saw your comment I was like....Oh yeah! What about the polish as well??

I definitely did!! I suffer from mirror touch synesthesia so when she talk about being in pain I could physically feel pain in my body. Not exactly in my toe area I felt it on my right side knee. The pain usually last up to 20-30 minutes. But it varies depending what I saw or heard.

It’s a generation thing. Years ago, only the rich and famous got plastic surgery. Now days, it’s affordable and available for all. And don’t forget about social media, young girls now days are constantly looking at their self.
I almost died after a simple gallbladder removal. You are taking a chance with your life anytime a doctor performs a surgery on you. I was told there is less than a 2% chance there would be any complications.
After seeing this I realized how much I love my big toe

It’s strange that the doctor left the nail polish on during surgery… that could have lead to an infection or complication. Most general surgeries on the body you can’t even wear deodorant , lol or nail polish. We monitor the nails to see if there are any issues during surgery

I find it super weird that the medic didn't take skin off from the start, it was obvious there was extra sin there, also how is it allowed to go into surgery with nail polish? I had eye surgery twice and they made me come with no nail polish, hands and toes, specially if the foot is being treated nails can tell about health

She is such a sweet Girl but this Surgery.... I broke my ankle in February and needed Surgery with plates and screws and I'm just able to walk without crutches for 4 weeks now. Seeing someone hurt themself on purpose cause a toe was bigger makes me anxious and sad.

I used to make fun of my friend for having toes like this and now I regret it so much. Hopefully she never gets this surgery, it’s an unnecessary cosmetic procedure. Don’t have calluses, toe fungus and broken toe nails and stinky feet and you’re fine in my book.

@@yellowdressbookstore6602 yes i live in europe (Germany) and its usual to stay at least one night at the hospital. If its just a short anaesthesia to pool out a tooth or something they watch you for 1h until youre “normal” again. But actually in her case she would probably spend 2-3 nights in the hospital here.

I wish you didn’t do the surgery since it sounds like a tedious post-op experience and now you’re in a weird predicament where you need to inject it for it to look decent or surgery, both of which, at least in my opinion, defeat the purpose of the surgery if it was to make your toes more beautiful. I know sometimes things need touching up/revisions but it sounds like the injection route would be a constant thing? Is that something you’d want to consistently inject? It’s not a common injection site to my knowledge. Maybe a follow up video will help
I love Christina, and am nOt knocking her in any way, but this seems absurd to me, and makes me feel sad. Filler would be a lifelong commitment! For something I know I’d never notice. This whole thing is crazy!

so many people have said to her for a long time that she’s perfect the way she is, unfortunately unless she sees her beauty herself then nothing will change. a person cannot be saved by others. they need to save themselves.
So much can be done these days with contouring face / body make-up, lighting, body posture, wigs / extensions, etc. Marilyn Monroe had real skills in these areas that she put in time to master. But surgery- go light, age gracefully :)

I have a second long toe as well and I absolutely HATE them. Toe shortening was definitely something I considered and was so close to doing, I just didn’t have the money LOL but now that I see it I’m too much of a wuss to actually do it 😭😭 It looks so painful, I’d rather just have people continue calling my feet ugly lol

Is this really how health care works in the US? There are NO doctors here in the EU where I live, that would accept to do this procedure if there were no actual health reasons. Even cosmetic surgeons. This is extremely strange to me.

Am so surprised that they didn't had you take out the nail polish. I had a correction which is a similar procedure in 2019 on my right foot. And a year later in 2020 I had my left foot done. Both times were painful but I new what to expect the second time around and I was ready and prepared. (I had a shower chair, shower boot, special elevation pillow )Also they should of put a little ball at the end of the pin instead of letting the skin scab on top of it. It is a painful procedure and it takes months to heal. Hard to walk since you no longer can bend the toes. If anyone is thinking on doing it. And the surgery is medical necessary like mines was or cosmetic like hers think twice about it and be ready to have limitations for 8week or more.
The mere fact that once this toe surgery is done, you are unable to bend or move those toes ever again...

It is EXTREMELY common. Something like 40% of people have a longer second toe. It's absolutely normal. I've never heard of anyone judging someone for it!

In Cristina’s video there is a little confusion in how often patients are seen post operatively in our office. Patients are not required to come back to our office once a week for a year. In fact, Cristina did not either. The average patient, who lives locally, is seen once a week for the first three weeks and then is seen once a month for the following three months. So that’s six patient visits over a 6 month period of time. For patients that come from out of town, you spend the weekend and then travel home. The patient is then seen by a local doctor in their area once a week for three weeks. The patient does return to Chicago at about the 8 week period to have their pins removed. So our out of town patients only come to our office two times.

i have wide feet because the bone near the side of my toes sticks out. i talked to a lady who had feet surgery and she said it was the worst pain ever and 10+ years she feels some pain :/ that stopped me from considering surgery

I had this surgery+ another at 15 (about 11 years ago). I had a soccer injury and something in left leg tightened I believe a tendon tightened so badly it caused my bunion (bone on the side of my foot to grow) I also started walking with my knees caved in. My doctor said if it kept growing it would severely affect my life later on. I got the tendon and bone fixed , they cut and screw and pin the bunion. I can confirm most painful thing to ever happen but it healed completely after 3 years. I completely don’t regret it, but to anyone considering it please take your pain medication as prescribed. I forgot as soon as I got out of surgery to take it (fell asleep) and I have never felt pain like that in my life. But it got better, also worth it I walk like I used to before the injury and the other bunion on my other foot never grew which was a big concern. Medically worth it for me (:

I think they look good and I appreciate you for being so transparent about your surgeries. So many influencers lie about getting plastic surgery, and the backhanded comments that you receive have really made me understand why they chose not disclose.
