@@robertjohnston4087 i did the same thing that he did in this video but didnt need the adapter for the tmx. it already has the proper bolt pattern just needed longer bolts, went to my local hardware store and got em :D !
Wow. With Logitech G920 You have to take the circuit board out and everything. The TMX you have to take your top of it off, the TX, remeve 3, have you THREE alan keys, put the adapter on, and screw the wheel on. They made this very simple, and I respect that.
The TMX (edit: not the T150) wheel looks like it also has these bolts attaching the rim to the hob of the wheel with the buttons. But Idk if it's just for looks or actual bolts like many wheels fot the T300. But even there Thrustmaster doesn't market that feature or sells seperate wheel rims. T128 and T248 are probably more complicated.
Thank you so much for this video... I did not want to change the wheel, but this video surely gave me an idea to fix my wobbly wheel which i got just 3 months back... It works as new now. Thanks again
i know this video is six years old but i was wondering if you still have the wheel or if you could at least could tell me how it held up and if the force feedback was effected at all, thanks!
force feedback wasn't changed but with a bigger wheel you can get more leverage. Could give the effect of weaker feedback, I mostly did assetto drifting. I have sold the wheel like 5 years ago but it held up fine. If anything would've gone wrong id suspect the actual adapter to break because it was 3d printed. Sorry for the late reply, just now saw this.
@@billyz97 I heard in other videos that it isn's only the leverage but also the weight of the rim. That sounds plausible because a rim works like a flywheel (inertia) so the effects are dampened when that gets heavier od the diameter increases.
keep in mind a quick release will make the wheel stick out further and the adapter already makes it stick out a bit if your wheel sticks out really far it may put alot more stress on the components and wear them down quicker. Also if you have a model that you can detach the wheel already like mine then the quick release is kind of pointless
I am trying to get the hub adapter but it isn’t the right link it sends me to somewhere else do you mind replying with the correct link if you don’t mind thank you
Thank you again for the suggestion. I got a chrome one with a yellow center stripe, a Ricmotech adapter and found an actual NASCAR Cup series-used nose pad that I put on to make it look more like a proper racing steering wheel. It's worked amazingly for everything I've thrown at it (although I have a smaller wheel for modern open-wheel/GTs/prototypes) and the steering wheel is an absolute steal at $30!
you will probably have to modify your thrustmaster TMX because is not changeable.get you a hacksaw and cut it off and then go buy you your aftermarket wheel at the auto parts store and.drill you some holes through it put you some screws with some flat washer and nuts on it and you will be fine.what the hell is just plastic.use your imagination man come on you can do it.this advice is free any more advice you will have to pay for it thank you have a nice day
I got a real mazda 6 or 3 steering wheel ans I wanna know if I can attach it to Thrustmaster servo, the problem is the steering wheel was connected to the car via one hex bolt right in the center, is this doable to adapt it somehow to Thrustmaster?
yeah good luck with that unless you do modifications to the wheel which will probaby look pretty jank unless you take your time or you can just buy a cheap af aftermarket wheel and find a place that sells the adapters
@@nathanjensenracing no it is the leather 28 wheel from thrustmaster, and considering the there is not the quickrelease is on the tmx, this has to be a t300/tx base. I dont know wether this is possible on the tmx.
