I've lived in Arizona for 17 years and I can safely say this video is very likely a production of the State Tourism Board. You'd have to be a millionaire to afford more than a postage stamp sized lot in most of the places mentioned.
I wouldn't say a millionaire but you have to have a hell of a lot of money to live in all of those cities. Especially Scottsdale, although they are pretty they're kind of expensive for homes. She didn't say like how much the average income is. If you love heat you love Arizona and the winters are awesome down in the desert. I lived in Apache Junction and Mesa and when I lived there it was really nice. there it wasn't like it was when I left. I stayed in Colorado.
Correct. No mention that Tucson has no freeways to get around, and the streets are poorly maintained, and drivers routinely make left turns against a red light. No mention that Phoenix has had 100 degree nights; yep, when the low was over a hundred degrees. But there's no humidity. That's right, and it dries out your nose, where the mucous membranes crack and bleed. A modest home in Scottsdale, as an example, will have, on average, HOA fees of $200 a month. Tucson and Phoenix are world capitals for treatment of skin cancer; they have to be. And I didn't hear them mention that coccidioidomycosis, "valley fever," is endemic here. I retired to Arizona, but not to one of these God-forsaken places.
Louis C. Gasper You’re right, there isn’t a great deal of information out there mentioning Valley Fever. In fact Tucson is where the Valley Fever Center of Excellence is located. I lost my sister in a 1970 flash flood near Payson where 21 people perished. Since that time they are warning people now with public service announcements although some people still don’t heed.
@@Friesian-q6u I'm sorry for your losses, of your lung but especially of your sister. Believe it or not there are cheap places to live in Scottsdale. It’s called S. Scottsdale. Lots of homes between $250k to $400k. Peoria is OK. You can find homes for around $150/soft. Oro Valley is great for retirement. $400k will get you a nice house. Chandler varies from $250k to over a million. 1000sqft home in Chandler can be found for under $250k and fix ups for $200k. Gilbert is vary similar to Chandler, just a little newer. Gilbert homes start at $250k. I’ve seen 1100sqft duplexes for low 200’s. Brand new 1700sqft homes in Gilbert will run you over $400k. Just remember folks. Property taxes here are very cheap. in Chandler and Gilbert a 2000sqft home valued at $400k will run around $2000/yr. In comparison, a 2000sqft home in El Cajon Cali, worth $500k will run you close to $3500/yr. A 2000sqft home in Rochester NY, valued at $700k, will run you close to $21,000/yr. One thing in AZ that is expensive, vehicle tags. Tags will run you 2% of the value of the vehicle. A $50k brand new truck will run you $1000/yr, first year.
Ive lived in Arizona my whole life and you gave to be careful where you choose I’ve lived in Peoria for 5 years and its wonderful and its a very crime free area. You generally just have to be careful what neighborhood you choose and what city. I wouldn’t recommend Avondale or Tucson.

200k fix up is not cheap at all lmao. I live in Indiana and my house was 67k and 1200sqft. Minimal repairs at that. And i make about 60k a year working in a factory. All those prices are insanely high.
We call it Snotsdale, way too expensive.
@@isabella08 what about Florence is it good there ?
I tried to watch this, but couldn't get the whole way through. The music...the slow monotone speaking...it was just plain torture.
Double speed baby!
It wasn't as bad as other "top 10" vids out there. What I can't stand though are those generic photos of people to bring home a point. Almost as bad as Mashed videos, which are the worst I've seen.
For me it was the hands.
Richard Sgrignoli Ikr? "The 80's are calling; they want their infomercial music back"

These people could make a Hell look wonderful, How about Arizonan summers when you can cook a egg on the hood of your car, snakes, gangs, car theft ??
August 2020 is the hottest summer on record also...
And freeway traffic mornings and evenings are the worst
Yea you can fry an egg on anything in the summer. Still can’t figure out why people want to move here.
LMFAO you know your shit
Coyotes, poisonous insects, crazy drivers,...& Coyotes run most of the valley... keep cats and small dogs indoors!! They can easily jump the walls.
Tucson has one of the highest also Arizona one of the highest car theft rates in the country
Not saying it doesn't happen cause we all know it does but AZ isn't even in the top 10...
Tucson wasn't on the list, Catalina Foothills, and Oro Valley were. Yeah Tucson has issues, especially the south side, but housing is really cheap on the south side
@@nafnaf0 Catalina Foothills, and Oro Valley are just suburbs of Tucson. They get the "amenities" by being part of Tucson.

Let's be really honest - if you need to work, it's primarily Phoenix municipal area, then Tucson. Not even a lot in Flagstaff. No wonder they just named communities within the muncipal areas.
Thank you for reaching out and sharing this video. New information for me. You are appreciated. Stay blessed!!!
Lovely Place. Shout out from the Philippines
As an Arizona native, I appreciate how you pronounced "Prescott", and yes it is pronounced "Pres-kit". :-)
It's spelled, SCOTT that's way it's pronounced also. They just want to be all special and pronounce it kit...

@GenesisOwner Turbo lol
This is b.s. I lived in Tucson and it was Everyman for himself. I was actually kicked by a homeless man in a post office, was threatened with death by a psycho in the desert who was wearing hip waders and had my car broken into. I still loved it. Tucson is pretty awesome.
😂🤣😅
North Peoria is best area in the US. Absolutely beautiful and perfect for outdoor lovers
I used to live there on Parisdise Dr I like it ! i felt good there!
Not to worry, people of AZ, some of us CAians want to keep our 2A & have our votes count.
Exactly. We want to keep our American values. Don't forget to vote for Trump.
Welcome then. We need you
Then you are wecome to come .
Please come if you are aware of how important it is to keep our state right of center. Otherwise, stay in CA.
I live in Prescott and it is BEAUTIFUL. Thumb butte and Granite mountain is probably my recommendation for hikes
Last time I went my friend told me the State of Arizona is great, but they need to progressive policies to improve it.
She moved from NYC to Mesa complaining about the high taxes and low quality of life, illegal immigration...
Lol
Yeah ASU brings some of the worst progessive youngsters to the area. It's actually really awful. I wish they'd stay in their own liberal shitholes instead of turning PHX into one.
Lived in AZ for 7 yrs..I loved it..Houses are affordable and freeways are always almost empty. I wish to return and hopefully soon
Jose Jay they’re not empty anymore more people have moved here
Empty freeways?? When was the last time you lived here? lol
@@orlanzo2621 25 minute commute anywhere across Phoenix Metro
Where’s Maricopa? That’s a great city to live in as well! And way cheaper than Chandler and Gilbert.
My guess is that when it comes to employment and amenities, Maricopa does not have much to offer. Even if you commute to Chandler for work, it would be at least a 20 mile commute.
Try 35 minutes with traffic and it's a single lane highway most of the way at 55 MPH.
Mesa, is in Maricopa county.
Maricopa is the County
@Charles C didn't even know that !! LOL and we have been living in Peoria for the last 12 years , well thanks to you now iI know , thank you so much :)
Arizona has such high rent!! And the heat gets to 100 degrees all summer never less
The high rent's are because California Investors bought most of the apartment complexes and are building more. Net result is out of state greedy investors are controlling the rents. At the same time local politicians have been bought and paid for. Local officials got their piece of the action, so they dont care!
They have fresh air!! Guess the other towns don't have that...
Best place to live Phoenix and Tucson ,AZ 2020!
I lived in Chandler and Apache Junction, 1965_1970.
Loved the Superstitions Mountains.
I was in the USAF at WAFB in Chandler
There is a lot of mexicans in arizona youll love it
I have been to catilina foothills of is a really good place and it is a very pretty place too. But the snow is a LIE it never snows there.I know because one of my family members lived there. I love Tucson I lived there until I was 7 then I moved I love that place soo much.
Chandler and Gilbert have a low cost of living? I am going to call bullshit on that
Laveen, Goodyear, Avondale, Glendale, South Phoenix- Cheaper
What about Verrado? It's a beautiful community, quiet and peaceful. Great for raising your family.
xPunisher71x
Great to hear, just bought a home here and moving tomorrow.
Verrado doesn't belong there, it should be bull dozed over, it should've been against the law to build it there in the first place by developers who's only interest was money. There's not enough water to keep building every where.

@@juliemead7366 depends on the area, but it's the same with ever state I suppose. Northern is your best bet. I've lived here for over 20yrs, in the south side
All the places they mentioned are way more expensive than just living simply in Phoenix. Not to mention the commute and the gas money if you need to work in Phoenix. Most places on the outskirts of Phoenix that are considered top places to live are going to cost you more. But if you come from a place where the cost of living was high then I guess this could be a good deal for you. The places they picked are good for jobs, family and safe but they need to remove affordable because that’s not true.
Hi there
Good places to live in USA mean - good place for rich white Americans who drive everywhere to raise their families.
Almost every place is affordable compared to California.

I loved so much Arizona🇮🇶
I've lived in Tempe for for over 8 years now. It is my fave city to live in the metro Phoenix area!
Gilbert FTW!
Avondale is growing and providing places of employment. It's really nice to and by mountains. I grew up there and now live in Tempe.
Providing work yes as well as much more section 8... so would make sense to create more jobs for working class to support more sec 8
Gotta get people working to pay for the sec 8ers

I saved at least two little kids from getting hit :^ but yeah driving is a big issue here
Raul Ramirez I guess you’ve never been to California. But I agree there are bad drivers - most are under the age of 30 and very aggressive drivers. They ignore stop signs and red lights, and texting and driving is the norm.

I lived in the Phoenix area for a couple years while attending ASU. Few places are nicer in Winter, but the heat from April through November were too much for me. I really like the Sedona area and also Prescott, but it has gotten so crowded and housing costs have also skyrocketed. Why can’t the lady pronounce Tempe correctly,,,,,?? Stressing the PEE second consonant too much. 🤣. At least she didn’t pronounce Prescott as Pres-SCOTT like many people do. One place I would like living in the Winter is Bisbee. Not too crowded and you can be a bum and be left alone. 👍
