    The psychedelic thin layer on the motherboard/ PCBA could be paralyne coating for moisture protection.
    Conformal coating is very thick and not good for RF signals. So they might choose this paralyne coating.
    It's actually a very interesting process.

    • @JeromeDemers
      @JeromeDemers Год назад +3

      How do they do this in mass production? Looks like it takes time inside the temperature controlled chamber to apply. Takt time seems high for mass production. Also needs high level of cleanliness which I think that’s not an issue.

    • @dgecse
      @dgecse Год назад +2

      @@JeromeDemers part of the deposition process (well, the pyrolysis part) is at temperature, but deposition is around ambient (25-ish C) - there are plenty of mass-production vapor deposition processes used - you could even farm out the parts to numerous job shops that will coat the boards up for you (you populate the board, then apply the parylene as a conformal coating over everything to provide moisture resistance)

    • @shehulsuratwala2684
      @shehulsuratwala2684 Год назад +1

      @@dgecse Yes, I think you're right.
      Most likely the PCBA was designed by Motorola and then outsourced for mass production.
      At most, Motorola would only handle SMT processes and then send them to multiple vendors for coating.
      And not that they are going to sell millions of these devices😅. So at this low quantity, it is doable.

    I know you get a lot of comments but would love to hear your thoughts as to why the Samsung hinge feels solid and sturdy while the Razr feels cheap and not as premium as Samsung's

      It doesn't feel cheap at all to me... I have no problems with it.

Politics ceos ownes schools remember that. Psychologist demand to get in there minds schools then label kids . Then report to head office then $$ lots from taxpayers $ to the schools 🏫🙈💴💴. Shame. All politics. Australia 🇦🇺 4years well behind. Look Singapore 🇸🇬 government Tell this Google go look it up .. by 60yrs old kids no jobs no 💴. Small read up but sad . As they say bad chefs bad food . Are you sure you've held one? It's a really nice hinge and a clever design that Samsung has now borrowed

      @@dyscotopia Which world do you live in lmao. Motorola borrowed (well atleast I am hoping the "borrowed" and not "stole") Samsung's hinge design as you can clearly see if you even watched this video. Its definitely not the other way round. Why would the leader in flip and fold phones suddenly copy a literally "dead" smartphone brands design. Go get your head checked 😆
