Lotus-If you see this, Luke's cinematography is unmatched and sending him a press car would equate to the most affordable and highest production quality commercial you could ever make.
I once bought a gen 2 Clio V6 thinking it would be a pocket rocket street go-kart ... survived it for less than a week, then replaced it with an Exige. If you can see your way past the awkward cramped entry and exit into the car, it's just a smile a mile bundle of awesomeness.
@@carswithluke Get hold of a Clio V6 to drive if you can ... just to see how monumentally bad it actually is. Never before (or since) driven a car with such snap oversteer, and I learned to drive in a 1981 Porsche 911.

I am 194 cm and 88 kg, I can just fit perfectly in my 2004 Elise S, with a small adjustment to the seating rails to make ithe seat go back a few centimeter further. I installed a 3cm steering wheel spacer and the driving position was spot on! I would love to buy a Lotus Exige V6 one day, the Elise is already so much fun.
Exactly this coming from a former speedster turbo owner. Carbon reverie seat snap off sparco 300mm wheel mated with a 35mm spacer. Was pure bliss. Now owner of a sc evora s1
One of the best sounding v6s in my opinion absolutely love the cars amazing video as always!

Can't imagine why any auto manufacturer would not wanting-ly provide you with a vehicle. It is their loss. Coffee run makes me jealous. Great review Luke. Many thanks.
I owned a Exige V6…brilliant car! Miss it! Sold it and got Emira…lowered it with Nitron, put forged wheels on…bucket seats, 4p Schroth harnesses…and boy is it good!
@@gabriels9977 Oh I disagree... Emira V6 is a forward leap in time and still holds 100% Lotus/Exige/Evora DNA...in an even more beautiful package. My Emira is lowered with Braid forged wheels and it looks stunning!
The Exige looks awesome! It's a disservice that Lotus wouldn't provide press cars. I'm currently on their website looking at Exige, and I had no idea about this model other than the name before watching this video.
Really glad you came to have your first Lotus drive, I hope it won't be the last but it's a shame the car doesn't fit you! My first Lotus experience was with an S2 CR in the Vaud region with my brother a couple of years ago, such an incredible experience, I'm obsessed with Lotus ever since! Exceptional photography as always, thank you for creating such quality content! Ciao for now! 😎
Best estethics in Cars cinematography. I try to replicate this for miniature Diecast cars. Thanks for being an inspiration. Thanks mate. Hope to see you some time in Switzerland. 🤩
Great work is always Luke! I’ve always wondered if you live in that epic “barn” or is it just a dope backdrop to film? Either way, the whole area is breathtaking and I hope to visit one day! Cheers! 🙏🏻👊🏼
Luke without the harness bar and using normal seat belts, the seat goes back about another 2-3 inches so you will fit. I have a 410 which is charge cooled, more power, same exhaust and slightly newer. That’s your answer being tall. Buy one, it’s the last of the proper lotus’.
I got a v6 cup, one of the last lotus motorsport built cars and take it to the Alps every year. When it's dry it is simply epic. The trouble with the 380s is that the limiter comes in very soon, 400rpm sooner than the early or later exiges. But looks and sound more like make up for this:)
Yes I heard about the wheel spacer, it was fine for that time but to use often or for long trips which I love doing it felt like it wouldn’t work. Regardless I want to try one again for longer.
Always wondered whether I would fit in one as I am quite tall myself...how tall are you? And of course another wonderful coffee run. Hope to meet you up these mountain passes next year. What a beautiful place we call home!
Another beautiful video Luke, the snow will be here soon. Also love the coffee shop, is it the Blaser Café AG ? It's true, there's an art and purity to driving and coffee.
Luke i really love your content and I believe that you have the best filming on RUclips, and kind of an of topic question but how many cars do you own? Because I have see a 991, 992 gt3rs, 992 gt3? are those all yours?
@@carswithlukeI believe you'll fit in the Emira better than the Exige. I find my 2014 Evora S has about the same leg space but it's wider in the cabin.
Purchased a brand new 410 coming from a cup250. Lots of silly issues with the car, loved driving it but has many flaws, its a car I would own again but would be like a 3rd or 4th car in the garage at least as it is so bad and lost of small things.
Great video Luke, and awesome car! May I ask how tall you are? Been looking into a second gen Exige for a while now but haven't had the chance to sit in one yet. Starting to doubt if I'll be able to fit in it.
The only way to watch this was with a ☕ Tremendous Car, that Manual looked a lot of fun! The only drawback, Cabin Space. The 'E' Sticker on the left side of the Car - 'Elf' Size 🙄
Absolutely love the Lotus Exige 380 Cup! Its combination of lightweight design and exhilarating performance truly makes it a top contender in the sports car arena for 2024! 🚗💨🔥
Shem you only had in in the wet, the grip in the dry really makes you wonder why you would ever buy a GT3RS when the S3 Exige performs as well as it does for a third the price.
It honestly wouldn’t make me wonder, I don’t by cars based on how only it performs, but looks, sound, build quality, also I can use my GT3 for everything, loads of luggage space and of course a much nicer interior, on another level from the Lotus. I think the Exige is epic however and will look to film it again in summer but so tiny I couldn’t anyway live with one sadly.
Are your roads salted in winter? I love my Subaru WRX hatchback, and now that winter is here in Canada I'm always troubled by keeping it clean from salt. Should I enjoy my car in the winter or put it away for next summer? I have it Krown rust sprayed every year and give it a good wax before the snow comes. I love my car, but also want to keep driving it, so would love to hear your thoughts.
How tall are you, Luke? At 6ft on the button, I've owned 3 Lotus cars (2x Elise, 1x Exige) but have no issues....although it always needs some athleticism getting in/out unless you're hobbit sized.
Depends on the proportion of someone's body, i could't fit myself in a lamborghini, while someone with the same height after me could. This was because of my long legs😅
My neighbor (probably 6’5 / 195cm) got himself a Gallardo Superleggera. He definitely didn’t fit in it so he made some custom brackets for the driver seat to fix this. Maybe that would be an alternative here as well?
Lotus-If you see this, Luke's cinematography is unmatched and sending him a press car would equate to the most affordable and highest production quality commercial you could ever make.
I have heard the Lotus marketing are fairly useless.
Ehh don't bother, Lotus doesn't make anything that actual sportscar enthusiasts would want anymore.

Ha yeah a car you really just need to try, the more I drove that morning the more fun it became.
This car will be remembered as the peak of Colin Chapman idea of Lotus Cars. And sadly, probably the last one to be realized this way.
Nice change of pace… there is life outside of Porsche and Lotus still has something cool about with all that amazing heritage!
