Good review ! I have the identical bike, similar equipped, here in the US. I agree with all points. I do however, ride mine mostly off highway. Mostly gravel & rough terrain. I know all about the front blinkers & breaking plastic. It is not 100% ideal for off road, but no better or worse than its closest competitors. I’m very happy & love the bike. When I do ride pavement it is very comfortable. Nice work 👍
Thank you for specifically covering the negative points. Too many reviewers never even consider mentioning the negative aspects of their bike. I'm sure endorsements influence this for sponsored channels, but in my experience a high percentage of independent youtubers who have no stake in that sort of thing focus only on the positive aspects. You brought up some great points that might be deal breakers for new and experienced riders. Subscribed!
I'm 5.5 tall. I bought the lowering block (2") for $55USD and also lowered the adjustable rear shock. Lowered the front forks as well. Added 3.5" handlebar extenders. The bike fits me perfectly now. Both feet on the ground at stop, but not flat unless I slide over and use one foot. Great review my friend!!
@@generationwolves I'm 6'1 and this bike is really comfortable. The height is still odd to get used to since I normally ride a low cruiser, but I had no prob putting both feet down
As a pass gen 1 versys Owner. I agree about the plastic I've had to replace my side fairings twice. A lot of damage just from a simple tip over at a gas station.but the bike was a hoot to ride with really good handling.unfortunately I totaled it out and bought as cb500x used for a really good price. I miss the versys motor. However the cb500x parts are almost half the price of the versys. And it gets between 10 to 15 more miles per gallon.
I am 5'3" also. Almost every bike I come across is going to be a hassle in terms of height. The only ones that are ok in height are cruisers. You get used to handling taller bikes. The big hassles are stopping and parking. Otherwise you get used to the handling....I wouldn't tackle an Africa twin lol but the versys 650 is manageable
If you go & search older versys 650 (2010-13) you will appreciate the simplicity of front end. Even though I really like this bike but I despise the front end with all the excessive plastics & the absence of LED headlights are inexcusable. (in my opinion)
Pro: handling at slow speed, Engine in general, reliability Road presence, Great comfort for rider as well as pillion, Easy to take out of parking lots and all that...trust me u gt used to its weight in a couple of weeks... Cons: No rear tyer hugger, Vibrations at lower rpm, Plastic windscreen rattles a lot and the adjustment gets loose with in 100 km of ride all the time.
Bulu sir my budget is 10 lacs iam confused versys or v strom which is the best option in 2022 .i test ride bout bikes but just short distances i don't understand any thing sir .my requirements.......iam not off road guy only long highway tours but unexpected potholes and sand in road which bike is best and maintenance cost also should be low I mean reasonable and long term reliability also 😀. Good suspension also required my height is 6ft plz suggest me I think you or correct person to suggest to me why because iam fallowing since 4yrs u have lot of ownership experience in versys and other big bikes
Good long term use review Bulubhai. Now as you are using a proper engine guard, in case of a fall there wont be any damage. I use the same guard & had 1fall but not a scratch any where.
Order the sargent seat for this bike it will bring your ride to another level. Also keep stator to voltage regulator connector clean and apply dialectic grease
Bulu bhai, between versys 650 and Bonneville t100, which bike would you suggest for a person who is 170 cms tall and likes to go on high way rides 80% and 20% slight offroading? Please give your honest opinion. Thanks!
why you bought this bike as you said you are a short rider.....some other guy suggested this is good for city commuting also.....would appreciate a clarification.....thanks
Bulu bhai, wont say ur among best vlogger. But definitely amazing person. I can feel ur personality in every word. Still thank you for being a moto vlogger 👍👍
9:45 to 9:59. When you say you sometimes get 26/27 kilo's per liter...is that while riding at 75miles per hour or 120 kph? ( *crosses fingers that you say yes) I ask because I prefer to chill riding at 60 to maybe 65 at fastest 99% of the time ( aka 97 kph to 104.5 kph) I'm comparing the km per liter on this bike to the honda nc750x and trying to see which one gets better mileage, BUT given the much bigger fuel tank on the Kawasaki....and alleged better windshield and dash, I'm torn. Thank you for a very good review video
I think you rido CBR650F and Versys 650...So which one is more fun to ride and which has more initial power to overtake someone.. which has better reliability CBR or Versys??
While changing tires, you would need to be aware of the speed and load rating of the tire. Using a Duke 390 tire on a Versys is not advisable. Taking the same example of manufacturer recommended Duke 390 rear tire Metzeler Sportec M5 110/70 R17 M/CTL (54H) where as the recommended tire for the Versys is 160/60 ZR 17 M/C (69W), this means the load and speed capacity of the "Duke" tire is (Load Rating 54 / Speed rating H) 211Kgs, and the "Versys" tire is (Rating 69 / Speed rating W) which is 324Kgs. The Versys is a heavy bike (205kgs wet - remember your luggage not included) and capable of higher speeds. It would be unsafe to use non manufactured recommended tires on any motorcycle, it will wear your tire faster, heat up more and can cause serious injury if the tire fails - save money or save your life. That being said, if the motorcycle is loaded and is going to be ridden within the speed limits of the tire it should be a good cheaper option.
Ive flopped my bike over 3 times in very ruff steep rocky places. The kind of place a verseys shouldn't be. Scratched plastic and bent blinker to the max but nothing broken yet. Plastic may be tuffer than we think! Or i just got lucky.
I think a centre stand would have been an added bonus for chain maintenance...u do have options like moto jack.or groller but nothing beats a centre stand..plus the service quality at least in pune is not upto the mark if you go beyond the oil and filter changes..
Bulu biker love the content and honest opinions you share, once small suggestion please use gimbal while recording or any tripods. Watching the video on large TV screens amplifies all the movements you can minimize it by using a gimbal and elevates you video production quality
I really think you should try a Harley Davidson Road King I’m 5’ 4” and I find it very comfortable and very reliable. I’ve had mine for 8 years. I don’t put on as many miles as you do; however, I think you will appreciate the mileage you get out of the tires and the great dealer network. I rode dirt bikes as a kid. I wanted to make the adventure touring thing work but asking a touring motorcycle to go off road involves too many compromises. Thanks for making this video, but I wish I could let you try my bike.
Hello Bulu biker, why do you not to try with MotoWerk Lowering Kit, I am 5.6 and I thinking to buy versys, how much is now seat heigh when you shave seat.

Lose that front number plate in Australia - not putting that thing on my bike. Colour is too dark for safe riding. How are people in cars going to see you?
