An old family friend who passed away many years ago did this as a hobby. His knowledge of where to find these bottles he took to the grave with him unfortunately. Great guy and moved ground like a machine. Rip Dean
That pickle bottle could be repaired. Sarah on Manchester Mudlarks repairs chipped mouths and such on special bottles. Maybe you could find out how they are doing it. It sure was a nice bottle. That tip is strange isn’t it. There is some nice things come out there but then there’s pockets with as you said( a load of crap) lol. Tends to be tons of work during those broken jam pots and the big metal box’s digger Tom came across the last video he did. Nice blue bottle.
Yes many dog walkers are curious… we’ve got to know a few locals who come for a chat every week! Thing is they know we leave it filled in and landscaped also burying all the broken glass!
Nice compilation of digs
Thanks for taking the time to record and share this

Cheers mate I was happy too although when you don’t find to much it’s difficult making an interesting video

There was a fantastic 1870-1890 tip there in the 1970, long gone.
