Ima doesn't have a dance practice video but it does have a choreography full of references to their older songs, you should watch a live performance
if the next batch are solos im so excited , seventeen has some of the best solos , their sound is so different to their group releases hence why its so good (not that the group songs are bad , their solo work shows more of their personality imo while the group stuff are what seventeen as a group represent)

I'm so so sad IMA didn't get a dance practice video and the performance at NHK got deleted, now just have performance of it on a concerts and the Korean version at the GDA
to be fair, that era was when cheol and jeonghan got injured which is why we most likely didn't get the dance practice. nhk and japanese media in general is region locked or behind a paywall and js mostly live aired, so most of the content doesn't actually get uploaded. if ever it was uploaded it's only for a short time.
Ima is one of my top favs from SVT discography. The first time I heard Ima, I cried a lot. It was around the time when Shua got a lot of unreasonable hates from the false rumor. I remember seeing pictures of him at the airport looking so sad and reserved. And Boo was taking rest at that time to heal, too. It was a gloomy and heartbreaking time. Then this song released and it hit so hard seeing them all gather together and treasure their time with each other. Until now, I still feel emotional everytime I hear Ima. It has a special place in my heart.

There is Tanabata in the legend of Japan.
The Tanabata legend tells the story of Orihime and Hikosei only once a year across the Milky Way.
In Japan, there is a Tanabata Legendary Festival on July 7th.
At the festival, people hang their wishes on bamboo branches.
In Japanese, the sound of bamboo leaves swaying in the wind is compared to "sara sara"
Also, the sound of a beautiful stream flowing is described as "sara sara "

Dream was release in celebration for their first Japan Dome Tour in 2022. They were supposed to grace the domes in a sold-out shows in 2020 but got cancelled due to covid. Being trainee in 2011-2014 and debut 2015, Japan Dome Tour was huge deal and unbreakable wall for kpop singers. This was before the global kpop phenomenon that reaches western market. It has been their inner child dream to perform dome tours and also winning Daesang in MAMA. That was the benchmark of successful kpop idols before billboard was on the picture. That is why the song is bittersweet for them singing finally they able to do the dome tours in their career. Emotional yes.
Just watched the preview trailer of Maestro (their comeback this 29th) and watching these songs again just made me so proud of how versatile they are, pulling off various concepts. No one does it like SEVENTEEN ❤
svt definitely makes a lot of references to flowers. it's also notable how every time there's a song for the fans, they always sing about holding hands. one of their biggest love languages it seems. it's really lovely. woozi is lovely.
also, ima has a choreo!!! there's not a dance practice video for it but they performed it plenty, it's really fun because the choreo incorporates their older choreos as well. one thing about seventeen, they love their team, they love their crew, they love their fans. it doesn't come off as overbearing, either, not overtly parasocial, but it's healthier in a way that they want to grow and they want to help us, and see us grow, as well

- the part where s.coups is thrown around in a circle was actually a joke that made it into the choreo. they appeared on a interview "Glamour 'Take a Friendship Test" and DK had the luck(?) of being thrown around. it ended with them saying "we should use this" and it happened😭
- the space-like roof during woozi's second chorous resembles 'universe factory', woozi and long-time co-producer bumzu's music studio. you can search pictures and some catats have seen the light on at 1 or 3 AM. (also, s.coups name-drops the studio name during 'Fire' by hiphip team).
IMA
- svt are expertd at referencing previous choreos in others and IMA is not an exception. examples are rock with you, callx3, oh my, not alone, _world, to mention some. "our dawn is hotter than day" (b-side fro YMMDay album) also does the same.
- it's also svt's first japanese ost for the j-drama "tokumei! keishichou tokubetsu kaikei-gakari"
as for the albums, i'm actually ordering here and hear ver., i do want to order the dear ver but i'm also buying my other ult group's upcoming album. but yeah, definitely owning here and hear♡ thank you for the lovely reaction as always.
the reaction to ima is so real….cause it became my most played svt song on spotify ever since it dropped. it’s such a feel good song that picks u up at any moment rly no matter what ure feeling esp with ur headphones on. it lightens ur heart, makes u wanna dance and get up and do what it is u have to and IDK the song is rly just so good to me….wish it was more known TT
but although there’s no dance practice vid for it, there’s still a dance performance for it although with 11 members… it’s still so good tho i recommend you guys watch it since u seem to like the song. u can legit see how happy they are whenever they perform the song and it rly warms my heart seeing happy and care for each other :3 great reaction!!!!
Andddd. The first time I heard IMA, I actually cried a lot. The beat and the vibes just feel so emotional, AND the lyrics just hit so hard. It's my favorite Japanese track from them so far...and I was going through a hard time when this was released too. I literally cried my eyes out. I felt like I was never alone while going through that hard time because of these 13 men and their songs. I love them so much.

I love IMA the initial part of the coreo I WOULD say is my fave part from any of their coreos is just so fast, and impactful and emotional at the same time... But since you two already covered all Korean and Japanese ot13 mvs, I really wish to see your reaction for Holiday, Snap Shoot and Shining Diamond mvs as well... Actually, none of them are official mvs (Holiday and Snap Shoot are special mvs that mainly directed by members themselves and Shining Diamond is their pre debut mv) but still SVT ot13 MVs list is incomplete without them..

N its so cute that hoshi's line 'determined to be a star' is kinda like a reference to himself since in japanese star is known as 'hoshi', a reason why I thought he was japanese in the beginning. 🤭

The way I heard "sara sara" described is a flowing natural flowing sound/feeling - like used for describing natural elements so like you said "rustling" that's like rustling leaves sound in that case, but something that can like naturally flow freely, but like the sound/feeling of that? I'm not sure I'm explaining it right trying to pass along translation but definitely I saw the commen describing the Tanabata festival (also referenced to in English as Star Festival) but the Milky Way being a river of stars in the heavens - it really ties in soooo well with lots of imagery that Seventeen has used like you were noting in Dream, referencing stars and the galaxy feeling, etc. - it's just so cool. And so anyway - like the other commenter was referencing the description applying to the bamboo leaves in the context of the festival specifically, there is a kids song that goes with the festival that says sarasara IN IT and so Japanese people know this song and having Seventeen release a song with this title it is a very clear reference that people would recognize and feel the connection to that basically. :D Very cool, right?
IMA mv has the same vibe of FML mv. It's like they're siblings. They have a live performance of IMA and you will recognize the dance choreography to have combination of their past choreos. They performed IMA in Golden Disk Awards 2024 with Super and God Of Music
IMA really just became one of my favorite seventeen songs, I cannot tell you how many times I've watched the MV. I don't know why there's no oficial performance-dance practice for IMA but there's some un-official around twitter-youtube you should watch, it's really cute and people have noticed they use moves from other past songs 🤧
I bought two Dear versions, one for each bias: Jeonghan and S.Coups 🤭 For the Hear/Here versions, I liked one of the outbox and the other concept for the photobook, so I couldn't decide 🥲
I pre-ordered all three versions since I collect their entire discography! You'll definitely see the inconsistencies in their album packaging *coughs hard pledis* It's pretty hard to arrange in shelves but yeah it's so satisfying to see the physical representation of Seventeen's hardwork (Woozi-Bumzu babies).
OK! So I'm watching unfiltered but I had to comment so like - I love Dream so much I one time looped it for like 8hours, it was one of my top tracks of 2022 because I just couldn't stop listening to it. THE CHOREO - SIGN LANGUAGE - I don't actually know about the hand shape itself, but there is a major similarity between what they do when they sing the word for "dream" and the sign language for dream in ASL which like - pulls a finger from the head like thoughts are coming out kinda. It's different in Japanese Sign Langage and Korean Sign Language, but because I knew the ASL sign for Dream already, it made me think of it right away when I saw that part of the choreo - it's almost like an amalgamation of a mime of sleep with a version of "dream" sign.
They also do a very cool thing in the part that Seungkwan and DK sing, when they sing the word "jikan" which means "time", they do a choreo detail where they circle their wrist like their drawing on a watch. "jikan" - time, "kuuki" - vibes, "ondo" - temperature - I think each movement has meaning there that line is so beautiful and the choreo matches it so well. I am not sure how much is actual sign language, I tried to look into it more at one point - I know in ASL you can use a similar movement to reference a watch but it would still be quite choreograph - ied (like the dream one being similar yet not the same)
BUT ANYWAY! I LOVE DREAM CHOREO! THE HITCH KICK! THE STARS PASSING BY IN WONWOO's VERSE! THE TORNADO TRUST FALL!
can wait for their solo and unit songs They are so good you may be hyped, shocked, and cry too, and the live performances and besides songs are even better to hear.

I bought 4 albums, 1 Hear, 1 Here and 2 Dear versions. I bought them all before the previews were released and now i really want to buy more Dear versions!
Also Ima does have choreo, however Svt never released a dance practice for it and the only performance from NHK was deleted, so the only videos we have are concert performances in Japan and 1 award show with the Korean version at GDA.
