Aujourd'hui, nous diffusons ce qui est la dernière interview filmée d'Alber Elbaz, qu'on avait été voir sur le tournage de sa première collection AZ Factory. Il était inquiet de la situation sanitaire, mais instantanément, son humour et sa vision de la mode avaient pris le dessus et j'avais compris qu'il m'avait manqué depuis son départ de Lanvin en 2015. On laisse donc parler Alber Elbaz, disparu le 24 avril dernier, pour écouter sa vision de la mode aujourd'hui. Je remercie la maison AZ Factory qui a mis à notre disposition les images de ce grand film de présentation filmé ce jour là par Tess Lochanski de chez Iconoclast. Je remercie également la maison Lanvin qui nous a permis de piocher dans ses archives des défilés d'Alber Elbaz, dont beaucoup sont des chefs d'oeuvres.
Je voudrais pouvoir encore crier : Alber! Alber! Alber!
Today we're showing what is the last filmed interview with Alber Elbaz. We saw him on the set of his first AZ Factory collection. He was worried about the pandemy, but instantly, his humor and his vision of fashion had taken over and I understood that I had missed him since leaving Lanvin in 2015. We let Alber Elbaz speak, even if he passed away on April 24, to listen to his vision of fashion today. I would like to thank AZ Factory, which provided us with the images of this great presentation film, directed by Tess Lochanski from Iconoclast. I would also like to thank the Lanvin house which allowed us to draw from its archives for Alber Elbaz fashion shows, many of which are masterpieces.

“We’re not stronger than any microbe or virus.” When he said that I got choked up especially since Alber finally succumbed to the same virus he alluded to. I will miss his talent and exuberant spirit. Taken from us too soon. Thank you Loic once again for this poignant episode.

I'm writting this with tears in my eyes: I just got home from work, on a saturday, a job that I'm very much in love with which is fashion. We shot a photoshoot today for our store. Alber Elbaz is responsible for the joy that I feel when I do what I do, he made me want to work in fashion, to create beautiful images that will inspire people that may bring joy and happiness. I remember being 15 years old in my room watching his Lanvin shows and immediately wanting to make a drawing of what I had just seen.
With that said, I'd like say thank you Alber, thank you for putting me on path that makes me happy, thanks for showing me the right direction. You will always be my northern star.
when he said “we thought that we controlling nature, but we are only part of nature,” i started to ugly-cry. there are other great designers but there is only one Alber Elbaz. what a genius, what a giant heart. ❤️
Thank you Loic for such a sweet and simple tribute to one of the most genuine souls in the fashion industry ' his firing from lanvin was a tremendous shock and now to hear this " well I'm beyond words. I don't want to send my condolences or say you'll be missed because I don't want it to be true ' not on the verge of his return to his truest life living ' designing and creating works of elegant wearable art that came to life on the body of those who wore his creations .I hate this ,goodbye Alber🦋 the little Prince of fashion ⚘

I recently saw the your documentary on Alber Elbaz, Loic, it was really wonderful! When you asked him for his final words after the show was over, he said 'i don't like endings'. I teared up!

Man. Earlier this year I was just looking at his previous Lanvin shows because aside from the mastery and beauty of the pieces, something about them just cheer me up (I don't think I can say that of many designers). I was sooo looking forward to his new venture and heartbroken to hear of his passing. Fashion has not only lost a master, it has lost a mensch.

Thankyou. I was genuinely saddened and shocked to hear of his passing from covid,so very glad to see this. An irreplaceable voice filled with a kind heart, wit , vision and talent a genuine creative loss as his work and impact went far beyond the clothes. Beautiful video M. Loic and team as you also have many of these qualities in your work. Many antique garden roses and brash roses and wild roses of all types. The song at the end was something else. Impossible not to wonder if he had waited a bit if we would still be blessed with his gifts. Stay safe all the best.

So very sorry of Alber leaving so early. I adore his beautiful designs. They have a flair of old Paris couture but simplified. Happy that I was lucky to own a few and will support his new baby AZ Factory. J'adore Alber. RIP

I always thought he would be in another big house that appricitae his talents. When I was a student in design school. I look forward for his show in lanvin every season. I think he knows women he made modern couture his vision of women can be casual .sexy elegant n haute couture. I still look at his lanvin show sometimes. Just watched the Lanvin show, saw a different guy come out, said to myself, "when did Lanvin fire Alber" and i wiki him all to find out he passed away due to covid, so sad, such a beautiful soul. He made me fall in love with the fashion house.
