The overloading elder lemurian:
The overloading elder lemurian when you're trying to do the swing by challenge
The overloading elder lemurian when you just got trapped by a void jailer

they’re not on the moon of Petrichor V 😢
@@776Mine good. That would make the moon worse than it is. Pillars already suck.
Chris on his way to make guitars and drums somehow sound like grieving for a funny little indie games last level
I mean you did commit a invasion and omnicide
@@Ee-lr5de no but I’m about to as soon as we make it off this moon
@@Ee-lr5de They're the ones who shot down a random ship. So if anything it's retaliation.
@@Lakita2880 wrong providence shot down a ship nearing the moon that contained someone that wanted to control the universe
@@Ee-lr5de That changes literally nothing about what I said.

...and his was music electric.
_nailed it_
close enough
His music was electric and his cords were on fire.
…and music his electric was.
"he a little confused but he got the spirit"
The final bridges of "Terra Pluviam" and "Who Can Fathom the Soundless Depths" are some of the hardest pieces of music ever to grace the ears of mankind
fun fact: "Who Can Fathom the Soundless Depths?" is inspired by Frédéric Chopin's raindrop prelude. if i'm not mistaken some of the other soundtracks are based on other works by Chopin
@@ianhonma.reddit.com-r-wholesom Not just inspired by, it's a straight up rearrangement in the style of Risk of Rain 2. Incredibly chad move imo, especially since it still fits with the rain motif.
The final bridges of Into the Doldrums and Once in a Lullaby also go incredibly hard
@@ianhonma.reddit.com-r-wholesom I know Con Lentitud Poderosa from the final stage is at least heavily inspired by his Prelude in E Minor Op 8 no 4
@@silverrath oh mb that's what I meant and should have worded it that way kek

those mother fucking beetles i hate their shiny metal orb selves

The malachite beetle's invisibility zone hiding the implosion of a void crab
That boy Chris don’t miss
I swear ror2 has to have one of the best osts in any game
It's some of the best music I've ever heard period.
@Aabhas Saini i have it on my steam library but haven't played it yet, i'll give it a try tho!
@@Hopper_Arts legit cannot recommend it enough
The best imo. I can only think of a few that are in the same league but to me it's number one (for now)
@@moldman5694 i mean there's also Ultrakill's ost
His music WAS electric...
I wasn't *shocked* after hearing that
How Chris greets hopoo games everytime they go contact him:
What's sad is that the song In this video was completely designed for the OLD version of the last level (the one where it's a long walk to the final boss)
i didn’t even realize they ended up changing it at the time. nothing beats that first time experience honestly
They still kept that idea. Thats why the guitar rift begins a bit after you leave the stairs
400 Gooves
@@fortysvideoarchiveeh it’s not the same I’m ngl old moon is better
@@snage-thesnakemage i get that. But I'm glad a small part of the old moon is still there

Chris Christodoulou try not to make bangers challenge (IMPOSSIBLE)
i love that version of the meme where the artist doesn't even let the guy finish the sentence
Chris is half the reason RoR is apex.
The other half is "Todoulou".
Didn’t even need to finish the question, he already knows what needs to be done.
Chris on his way to torch the gearbox sound booth (they are remastering Risk of rain 1).
"Alright this part mostly consists of the player just walking across a bridge, so you dont need to go too hard. What do you got for u-"
Chris:
*When the second stage of the game has the hardest track possible*
I'm gonna do a "hmm, actually 🤓" because the real story is fire. The reason the bridge is so long is to give the players enough time to listen to music's intro. They literally tuned the game just so Christodoulou could shred
@@toilet_cleaner_manwhat is the track title
everyone in the comments is talking about risk of rain so i'm here to say that his work on the deadbolt ost also both slams and jams
god deadbolt is so underrated i love it so much
I literally bought deadbolt this morning and its so good, both game and music
Deadbolt is completly underrated, an excellent, nifty little game with music that touches the soul.
the deadbolt soundtrack has been my studying playlist for the last 4 years. it literally goes so hard
john deadbolt planning out his missions lofi when
con lentitud poderosa remains my favourite vgm of all time and i highly doubt itll change for a very long time
first time i heard it, which was going into the last stage for the first time blind, it sent CHILLS down my spine when the drop hit.
I had to *stop and reel.*
chris christodoulou and gustavo santaolalla will forever be the greatest composers ever
The risk of rain games without chris cristodoulou making all the music wouldnt be the same
And so he left, his beats burning in your ears…
The only OST I've ever bought the entire album right after I hear them from in-game, this man is insane
Can't wait to hear MORE from Risk of Rain Returns!
magma worm when it spawns in:
All of his songs are bangers
I feel my soul leaving my body during some of the risk of rain 2 tracks
"Listen, this song can be the equivalent of the desert bus soundtrack, it's really just a boring walk to the--"
Chris Christodoulou: *PROCEEDS TO ABSOLUTELY FUCKING S H R E D .*
"Okay, nevermind. That works too."
Me on my way to die to Mithrix again (I am trying to unlock Purity)
Chris Chris was touched by God and put on this earth to make music, you cannot change my mind.
Btw for those who don’t know the guy with the flaming guitar is, afaik, Colin Furze
the legend
this ost is the actual impossible try not to headbang challenge. i clicked on the video and subconsciously started headbanging without a second thought crossing my mind. that has never happened before.
My man did NOT need to go THAT hard
The discription upsets me deeply, accurate for the rest.
The crazy bastard has done it at least 3 times just that I know of, not even counting DLC. Super talented.
I have been looking for this meme for months
Chris did give us some magic
This is how I imagine the first meeting for this game happening:
*snap* Chris go wild
Alright how do we add the z-axis to our game?
The funny thing about this is everything chris does is actually on synth. In the collectors edition of RoR1 the songs are included with sheet music, and there is a part in Coalescence titled "Not a guitar solo" lmao
A track that makes one truly ascend
Before I even clicked the video I knew what song it'd be
Idk man Chris made a LOT of bangers for the RoR2 OST
Its always the indie dev teams who get the best music for thier games.
Undertale
Risk of rain (both 1 and 2)
Project zomboid
And Heartbound
To name a few.
Omori, Hades, ddlc, off, dead cells, hollow knight, terraria, and whatever else I forgot
Deep Rock Galactic also. One of my absolute favorite OSTs, hands down.
NieR:Automata and replicant crushes all of these games in soundtrack. Not a AAA game series but it's certainly not indie.
Doom eternal, doom 2016, skyrim, morrowind, devil may cry 5 are also all examples of non indie games that do music very well.
It's not all indie, not all AAA. Both can be good.
"say no more fam"
*(creates perfection)* 🔥😙👌
Its always the simple and fun indies that have a masterpiece of soundtrack like its nothing. Humble and masterful. Just love it.
Literal fire
I just realized that Chris has his first name as part of his last name
I love how triple A games come out with soundtracks sounding like cardboard boxes being slapped around, and then Chris just pulls up to Hopoo, and indie company and shakes the ground with his musical talent.
Despite the low bar set with industry standard, Chris pulls off some 100/10 soundtracks, huge W. 👍
Idk why but this soundtrack always makes me emotional asf and I have no idea why
This music sounds like it doesn't want to get out of bed
Hopoo games: "[dares to inhale]-"
Chris: not this time dear, Damjan's turn.
He didn’t ask to cook they just showed up to the game studio and he was already there
I swear to god being introduced to Chris and his music by my siblings was the best thing that’s ever happened to me

And his music was electric.
Here to remind everyone Deadbolt is fantastic and underrated.
“And his music was electric…”
" And his music was electric"
And his music was electric...

The one beetle you forgot to kill on stage one learning to play the guitar
It took this man 2 years to make the ror2 ost and it SHOWS (not including the dlc) (he said this in an interview)
"You're gonna need a bigger ukulele" goes so hard it's unimaginable
"and his music was pyrotechnic"
Hopoo Games: "H-"
Chris Chistodoulou:
And his music was fire
That's why I still listen to Deadbolt's OST every day

the jellyfish about to oneshot me:
burning beetle guard and malachite lesser wisp:
they actually asked him to go all out
this vid got me into RoR2
a bummer that i got here first instead, but i'm glad i did at least
This song and the rain formerly known as purple are the best songs in the ost hands down
FYI, Chrstodoulou (Χριστόδουλου) means "servant of Christ" or "slave of Christ"

The malachite grandparent in question:
I find it hard not to make a guitar face when playing this game.

Oh my god, yes. Same with RoR1 and Deadbolt. Chris is a beast.
My dumbass thought this said christofer colombus for a second
