My mom had a similar manifestation of a cloud while she was praying and worshiping with a friend from her church. They were not seeking it, it just happened. My mom is no spring chicken when it comes to faith in Christ and is one of the most solid, consistent believers I know. A sign will make you wonder, and that's ok. Please don't go slandering ministries, quoting scriptures out of context or the reality of a new covenant and shouting conspiracy theories. I know the love of Jesus these folks from these camps have. They're not perfect, they're growing and learning and *gasp* even learning from mistakes. If you are concerned and confused, pray for clarity, truly go to God in a place of openness and let GOD sift the tares from the wheat. I have experienced similar things first hand and you CHOOSE what to focus on, the manifestation or God Himself who made it. Your choice.

This is trickery and you’re falling for it. Ex Bethel employees admitted to putting glitter into the airvents many times. This has nothing to do with the Gospel of Jesus. If anything it leads people away after their own lusts seeking signs and wonders.
Also, if this was truly the God I know from the Bible in His mighty glory, these people would be on their faces! There’s no fear of God in these movements.

I have experienced this glory of God myself. At first I was not open to it but my girlfriend's father is a paster and he told me all about this and his experiences. A few weeks after I experienced it for the first time. Its called the Shekhina glory. Most of this movements of God happend in the 90s but I believe that if you are open to this, God will reveal it to you as we still experience it today
This morning, October 26, 2023, I saw the Glory cloud in my bedroom! Thank you, God!!!!

Actually, most of the people don't seem all that amazed. Contrast this with the glory of God in the Bible, which was so powerful, men could not approach it. They could not even catch it on the Iphones. Ex. 40;34, 2 Chronicles 5:14, Isaiah 6, etc.
The glory of God in the old testament, you mean, before the veil in the temple was torn and we were given free access to God's throne... I know the presence of God's glory. It's beautiful and weighty and makes you feel joyful and awed and overwhelmed and thankful and so much more. That's my Daddy! I'm the apple of his eye...and so are you.
Yes, the glory of God in the Old Testament, which was so overwhelming, it could not be approached. Are you suggesting an unbeliever could not approach this bit of glitter (the Bethel Glory Cloud)?
Moses was unable to enter the Tent of Meeting because the cloud had settled on it, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. Exodus 40:35

@@paulwgraves No, but God is. And his word gives us the capacity to distinguish between the manifestation of his real glory and people falling on their faces in reverence, and some glitter in a vent that falls on a crowd of squeeeing people.

In viewing the video I could see the delight of the people at the manifestation of this cloud so openly visible, but was struck by how there was no mention of any direction for faith ministered or made known by their leadership. Following the link to RUclips I located more videos of this manifestation in Bethel church, which I looked at also.
In a video called “Glory Cloud at Bethel”, I found it interesting to hear how Bill Johnson discusses the experience of the presence of this cloud (along with other manifestations such as feathers or gold dust falling from above), referring thereto as “the signs that make you wander”; never linking the experience to any known purpose nor any ministration of grace accompanying it.
He also says: “You say: ‘Well why doesn’t He show up in a way that He can be visibly recognised?' He told Israel; He said: ‘I was in the cloud and I did not let you see any from, because I knew you to be an idolatrous people, and you would create an idol after the image you saw.’ And so the lack of clarity sometimes is... He’s not punishing us, He’s just letting us.... He’s wanting to give us as much as can bless us and promote us without destroying us. We may not have an idea, a clue, what we are doing, and we certainly don’t know what to do next, but finally, the main thing has become the main thing.”
I could not find in scripture what he might be referring to in his mention of God’s communication to Israel, however what is apparent is his admission of own lack of understanding regarding the things of God, and of his inability to rightly direct the people of God in the understanding evidenced in a true God elected Steward.
The reality that Scripture does bring out (and that a true Steward of God unfolds with understanding), is that though God has made His presence known in many forms, it is never to merely excite the passions of man, but rather, it is accompanied by His communication to give direction to His people. True faith is not blind, but competent and cognitive as it stands in the empowerment of Godly wisdom, knowledge and understanding, by His initiation of grace.
Moses went over to the burning bush, amazed at the manifestation of flame that did not consume, but God did not leave it there; this was not a token to entertain and astonish, as to prove His reality to man. No, this was a holy angel of God in the form of flame of fire, sent to Moses (as God’s elect steward) to minister unto Him the revelation of the Lord. (Same pattern continued in the New Testament as seen in Heb 1:7 “And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.”)
Likewise God continued to communicate with Moses in whatever form His appointed angel took: Exo 19:9 “And the LORD said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto thee in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with thee, and believe thee for ever. And Moses told the words of the people unto the LORD.”
The ministry of God’s holy angels is a very real, wonderful and crucial part of the Christian life Jesus intended for His church, and a true steward not only lives that reality, but directs God’s people unto Christ’s Covenant wherein they are made partakers of the same, along with all the greater works of the concealed signs and wonders of spiritual transformation in regeneration of the soul and renewing of the mind.
As a believer before converting to Christ’s Covenant, I had neither had an expectation of, nor awareness of God’s direct involvement in my faith through the ministration of holy angels, leaving me to (similarly to those seen in the original video) seek after experiences which impacted my emotions for my imagination to work with for sense of confidence in faith.
However, for the past 10 years after coming into covenant with God, and being instructed in the complete and accurate doctrine of Christ by living apostles and elders elected of God, I have rejoiced in ongoing experience of the daily ministration of the grace of God, as delivered by His ministering angels, whom often times He has also granted me the gift of discernment of spirits to see, often in the form of orbs of different coloured light, or star-burts.
I share this testimony to point out that it is a normal occurrence for the converted covenant Christian, as the Lord ministers His grace (communication, revelation, awakening, illumination and enlightening power of God)through His ministering spirits (which Jesus was also sustained by, rewarding Nathanael’s faith by granting Him the ability to discern them: Joh 1:51 “And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.”)
From my reflection book I can share a recent example, wherein I was labouring in faith with a dream received that morning, when the Lord assisted my understanding of this token to give direction for my faith in an area of testing, by ministering to find my strength in a “new day”(Word of Knowledge), which was accompanied by the gift of discernment of spirits as I saw a white ministering angel in that moment. This angel, taking the form of brightly shining white light, was sent of God for the purpose of ministering this gift of grace.
As I continued to reflect on the token for the anointing to unlock further understanding, the ministering angel appeared again as I noted down a connection ministered regarding holding fast to good instruction (Prov 23:12), as to thereby overcome the confusion of face which comes by logic’s reason with the evidence of the eye (carnal observation is vulnerable to Satan’s subtle suggestions).
What I hope is noted in this example, is that the delight in being granted discernment of spirits did not leave my faith uncertain nor overly emotional, but rather, it was accompanied with God’s communication which fed my faith unto further reflective labour and growth in Godly wisdom, knowledge and understanding.
This is the same pattern I and all the covenant saints had been instructed in by God’s elect steward in this time: Apostle Eric VonAnderseck, whose calling testimony alone is overflowing with divine experiences of God’s visitations, accompanied with very clear revelation, and who continues to lead God’s people by the same pattern which Jesus Christ prepared the very first apostles in also.
My hope is that this note will find those of truly seeking heart, as to direct them to the same glorious reality of daily experience of the Life of Christ through His restored Covenant stewardship and priesthood. #s8w

That looks like a small glimpse of the cloud. But not in full manifestation. When it appears you will know it and its so thick and smoky it takes everyone out on the floor and will heal everybody.

@WP Films Around 5:28 the cloud is the thickest in the room, which happens to be right under a vent. Idk I just have trouble with it. It could very well be from God though, I wasn't there so can't make a sound judgement.
Thanks for sharing this! Although I've seen some footage of the clouds before, I hadn't seen any of these clips before. It's interesting how it starts out subtle, so that it barely shows up on film, and then it gets a lot more intense.
dagman85 yeah as they gradually turn up the AC to blow it out of the vents a bit harder... You can even hear the AC on at the time! Now it would seem more believable (for use of a better phrase) if this just appeared in thin air when the AC was completely off and just hovered there without moving... but it just so happened that it came out of the AC vents lol. And if this truly was god manifesting himself, people there would have been on their faces as dead men, not standing around laughing, taking pictures and saying “oh my god”, “that’s awesome”. Just a joke

I wholly believe that, if this was the glory of God, everyone should fall to their knees in worship and adoration. I personally wouldn't be able to stand if God Almighty was present!
Religion's a hell of a drug, man. Doesn't matter the faith or creed, or if it's real or not, that emotional high you get (described at the beginning) in the midst of worship, music, and repetitious mantras is intoxicating. Weed's probably less damaging in the long-term.
Also, yeah. I saw one of those clouds once. It's just glitter blown in from the vents. It was all over my hands after.

I'm in complete awe of Jesus. I started to cry and I simply want more of Jesus. I thank God that I've had amazing powerful experiences with him but I want more. Do they really think this is a "glory cloud"? If that had happened to me and if it was of God, I'd probably be knocked out on the ground. This is sad times 100.
The way I see it is that God can manifest his glory in different levels of intensity, Daniel is a great example. He had an encounter in Daniel 10 where he couldn't stand and he grew pale until the angel gave him strength but when God himself and two angels came to visit Abraham he didn't fall down at all.

I think to belittle this is a shame. To question this maybe abit narrow minded... God's heart is for us, I believe He uses many small and big things to encourage us and to put Him in a box or try and debunk this with scripture is well unnecessary

I hesitate to criticise this because scripture does say that God inhabits the praise of His people. I too have been in praise meetings were the presence of God was palpable. Also my kids have been involved at Bethel. But in the end it's the fruits of the Spirit that demonstrate how far folk have had let God into their lives, and that I really don't know about this church. I hope that they are keeping a good balance between Word and Spirit as I was taught a half century ago now.
If Bethel would have announced it was just a stunt to cause people to praise and rejoice then it would be forgotten by now. But to claim it's the manifestation of God Almighty when it isn't is deception of the worst kind and blasphemy.

They also claim to be able to perform all the miracles of Jesus and greater ones but are never successful at raising the dead. The Johnson's son has never been healed of his hearing impairment. And on and on I could go. It's a cult full of false teachers.

So did anyone collect this gold dust and get it verified as pure gold. Odd if no one didn't?? I have heard that someone who worked for Bethel admits to putting plastic gold in air conditioning but has left the church

I once did a Google search on the gems and glitter that are said to fall because let's face it if they are from God they'd be perfect, worth a fortune. We never hear what happens to them. Did ppl take them home? Did the church become rich? We're they used to help the needy? I read that some were analysed and we're plastic glitter and plastic gems.

I love how everyone is using the Lord's name in vain, (blasphemy) punishable by death in the old testament, breaking the second commandment, while claiming to worship God, and see a glory cloud right before their eyes? To think that they would not fall flat on their faces. Give me a break. Even the angels in heaven cover their eyes and their feet as they cannot even behold his holiness. This is heart breaking. God does not, or cannot change. Otherwise he would be a liar.

I have no doubt that our supernatural God can move supernaturally when He wants to. It's an awesome thing to see, and I believe God wants to show Himself more manifestly when people are seeking Him. However, it doesn't increase or diminish my faith in Him one bit. I'm saddened that people have put God, and specifically the Holy Spirit, in such a theological box because they have personally never witnessed this before. As Pastor Robert Morris says, the Trinity is not the "Father, Son, and the Holy Bible, it's the Holy Spirit."

What was preached?
-Power in making declarations
-God's presence is invited through music, singing and dancing
What was confirmed?
While a worship philosophy, that music, singing and dancing is how we worship God was being embraced - seeing as Satan's framework has its own knowledge and tools which seducing spirits bear witness to, to keep unconverted believers in bondage to the False Religious System (FRS) - God issued ministering spirits in that congregation to show that there is more to the Christian experience than vain worship.
Daily, covenant believers experience the manifestation of ministering spirits that steward grace for their labor of faith. Hebrews 1:14, "Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister to them who shall be heirs of salvation?"
This tethering and tutoring of ministering spirits school believers in co-laboring with the Holy Spirit now that they have a foundation of truth laid in the heart by a living apostle.
What was the reaction?
Awe, wonder, amusement and excitement. But faith was not drawn from the heart because the congregation does not know what ministering spirits are and how they function no thanks to their ministers.
What was the direction given from the steward?
The steward has directed the Church away from using the gifts and talents of the Adamite signature for faith, and into true praise and worship through the knowledge and tools of the covenant.
The church had experienced 2000 years of darkness in which the traditions and doctrines of man infiltrated church government and the worship system sprouting worship philosophies that God does not accept because they are on the level of the flesh.
Through the steward, God has restored the elements of the gospel, the altar and the priesthood through which true worship is born i.e. worship in Spirit and in truth.

This is not how God reveals Himself. He reveals Himself to us through HIS WORD (the Bible)!!!!!!!!!
Well He actually reveals Himself many different ways, not just through the written word. His written word even tells us this fact. “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.” (Psalm 19:1-4)
You guys are so fond of saying that God is sovereign, well if He is truly sovereign He can manifest His presence any way He jolly well pleases.

Jehovah knows how to throw a party. If people party/worship in his name, and invite him, he makes the party.
Anyone can release glitter in an auditorium and say it's the glory of God. All it does is deceive and mock God's name. Seriously, the people reacted just like a surprise birthday party, not the manifestation of God Almighty.

Oh wow. I hit "like" because I thought the author was showing how the Bethel "glory cloud" was distinctly DIFFERENT than that of the one mentioned in the scripture at the end of the video since the ACTUAL glory cloud of God prevented men from being able to continue moving... Was I mistaken? Was that an attempt to substantiate the glitter coming out of the vents?
"Bless the Lord, O my soul. O Lord my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty" (Psalm 104:1, KJV). Saying "O my God" is not blasphemous but is actually biblical. Giving glory to God is worship. They did not stop worshipping, they simply starting doing it more directly. They did verify it. Glitter does not get bigger and bigger. And taking out a phone to record is okay. I don't see this different from when the Bible was recorded.
I am a Pentecostal pastor and my first thought is: If this really is God manifesting Himself, it seems like it would cause people to be hungering for more of Him and to be filled with awe and reverence and just start to worship Him. I am seeing a group of people who are whipping out their cell phones and filming this event. People are looking around saying, "OMG" or "Look at that...it's even better over there...it's getting bigger..." Stuff like that. Personally, I think OMG is taking God's name in vain! This video doesn't seem to show everyone falling to their knees in worship!!! That's just one thought I'd like to share.
Well keep in mind this video only shows a tiny portion of the event, and there was indeed MUCH worship that happened as a result of this. But editing video to just show the highlights of something obviously means a lot has to be left on the cutting room floor.
The name "God" is not the creator's name, it's a title, a way to reference our higher power. They used to teach us that in church. Lol J/S
Hi everyone 👋🏼 so I want to share a little bit from someone like me, who is an actual witness and saw these events took place at Bethel when I was there. Now I’m going to be brutally honest with you. None of these video and this one just does not do justice for what you would actually see when this took place. Their is nothing like actually being there in person. But if I’m honest with you, if I wasn’t there to witness all of this, just looking at these video clips, I even my self, would have a hard time believing gold dust, glory cloud, whatever you may call it actually happened. Because in all honesty, it does look fake. It truly does. It’s one of those things that you just have to be there to witness it. Now this didn’t just happen one time but actually week after week and on and off for about 8 months. Now you don’t know me so I don’t expect any of you to trust me, but as honest as I can be, all of this was real and actually happened. I played with the obvious theory, what if someone put glitter in the air vents, even let’s say tons of pounds of glitter so it can last for a long time. Even if all of that were true, how the gold dust appeared would’ve made it impossible for that to be true. Reason, if it was glitter, you would be able to wash it off your hands or even capture it. So many people tried to grab the gold specs from the air and it was literally impossible. Your hand would go right through it. Than when their was gold specs on your hands, it was literally impossible to wash it off. I tried myself and many others tried so much to wash it off but it just would not come off at all.
Other reason why it being glitter was just not possible, that when it broke out, the gold specs was just not appearing under air vents but it was appearing literally every where. Near the lights, coming up from the floor. Like I said, you had to be there to even believe it. Now anything that we’re to come out of an air vent any substance would have just fallen down, but gold dust that was appearing was not falling down but kept rising. In fact what you don’t see in the video, is a lot of the gold dust would rise from the floor and this world happen for hours. Now you have to understand, so many people where worshiping JESUS when this was happening and not everyone was recording, but we do live in a technology world so you can record anything at any given moment, so if you were in a place, that something you think was happening was not possible, guarantee you would record or try to take pictures, why? Because even you yourself could not believe what was happening. Now in other videos like the famous glory cloud at bethel video video. When that broke out, in the video you don’t get the whole story. And the whole story being brief, it came out while people where getting prayer. Yup message was over and people were just receiving prayer whole worship was going on. Gold dust did break out during the service and worship and during the prayer time. I looked over to my left and from literally nothing, from the ground, not close to an air vent. A cloud was forming. I literally had my jaw dropped and was trying to make sense of this. It practically, realistically did not make sense. It was impossible! But there was that cloud forming and getting bigger and thicker. Than as it arises, in the middle of the air, still not near a air vent, it exploded and that’s when you see in the video, like glitter, exploding and moving so RAPID so fast every where! I was in total shock as my friends who were visiting as well. He looked at it and said that is not possible! How, I saw just saw that cloud form from nothing!
I know it may be hard to understand and I believe. But as someone who was there during those breakouts and a w witness to all of it. It really all was real and did happened. Because as soon as after this broke out, people where sharing testimonies and even showing recordings of gold dust appearing in peoples cars, peoples houses and living rooms which I experienced. I even experienced it 600 miles away back at my hometown at my sisters house which I still have the recording, and all of them who were skeptical of stuff like that, could not believe it was happening all right before there eyes for 20 minutes! They all thought it was dust from the light coming from the window, so I closed the curtains and it still was happening and they were all amazed. I even visited my home church who would not believe any of this and would be skeptical of this all and saw gold dust appear when I was visiting. I know it’s hard to believe and understand how is this God, and if so, why? But as honest and truthful as I can be, none of this was fake and caused by glitter in the air vents but all was real truthful. A literal sign and wonder. I mean how are we suppose to read Moses and Israelites and accept parting of the Red Sea, mana from heaven, water gushing from a rock, fire of pillar by night and automatically discount something like this just because we weren’t there and don’t understand it?

Being open to different manifestations of the presence of God isn't "seeking a sign". (Jesus was talking about the Pharisees who rejected Him when He said that, by the way.) It just means that you don't put God in the proverbial box. Nor does this mean that this is associated with Eastern Mysticism or New Age. As for the apostles not experiencing it, unless you were there I don't see how you can make such a claim. The Bible tells us about "wonders" in Acts 5:12. Wonders are undefined, presumably for a reason. It could very well be that people had exactly the same experiences back then.

Do you think everyone believed, or do you think they said he faked it? What would you have said, if you had been there as Jesus, and his disciples performed miracles?

I’m a firm believer in Biblically based supernatural events. I was saved because of one! Yet, unfortunately, Bethel Church actually does MORE HARM THAN GOOD in this area. With constant references to undocumented cases of physical healings, “prophetic words” that never come to pass and now this “event” (albeit in 2011) that BEARS no resemblance to what the scriptures actually say, they’re driving people away with this nonsense.
Well that's just what it's referred to as. You'll notice we put the word in "quotes" in our description. But that is the terminology many people use for this type of phenomena. I recommend not getting hung up on the minutia of what something is called, and instead simply appreciate that something!

We understand! It's certainly strange. But there are much stranger things in the Bible! In our opinion, when faced with these types of things, we simply say, "If it's God, that's awesome. If it's something else, oh well." You get in trouble when you start chasing after these things and elevating them to an unhealthy place.

This is NOT the glory cloud of the Divine Presence. If it were, the people would not be cheering and applauding, let alone taking the Name in vain (e.g. 4:05 , 6:08 ). Contrast with the Biblical description of such an encounter:

In the video, they're not taking the Lord's name in vain. I used to think similarly when others did something like say the name of Jesus or God, but now I say His holy name myself all the time, because it makes me happy. (I do this not in an irreverent way--I just love God with all my heart.)
It's not an insult or blasphemy to God for us to shout or exclaim His name when we're thinking of Him and glorifying Him. To use His name as a cuss word is blasphemy, that is to take His name in vain. Another way to take His name is vain is to bear the name of "Christian" and live like the world without holiness.
Please see the entire video. At the end of the video is a Scripture from 2 Chronicles 5:13-14 where God's people were singing and praising of God with a glory cloud.

i noticed you did not even attempt to refute nates claim about a true biblical account of a glory cloud manifesting. plz show us 1 verse of scripture wherein the glory of god is made manifest and people did not cower in fear?
I am not sure what to think of this video. But I do know this: your basis of everyone cowering in fear is Old Testament based. When Christ died, Matthew speaks of the Temple Veil being split. This is indicative that this “distance, dare not touch me” glory has been forever changed because Jesus opened the connection between God and man again.
For my proof I will use two examples: the Holy Spirit lives inside believers. God Himself lives inside those who are born-again. If God Himself is present inside of believers, why would a physical manifestation of His glory cause fear as it was in the Children of Israel who were not born-again.
Second example: the idea of New Creation that Paul puts forth. Ancient Israel was not New Creation. But in this Age, believers are spoken of as being “born-again,” and “New Creation.” There is still an element of “already-not yet” for sure. But there are MASSIVE implications here. Believers are changed fundamentally at the core of who they are. They are not the same as people in the Old Covenant.
All that to say this: the reaction of these people is not a good indication of the validity of this incident. Again, I do not know what to make of this. My first reaction would be that it is a natural occurrence in the ventilation system. But the “cloud” does not seem to move in a way that would indicate being manipulated by the vents. So, I honestly am not sure what to make of this. But I can say this argument of the reaction ought to be “total terror” is invalid in light of the Work of Christ.

And we "know" this is a supposed "glory cloud" because.....???? In the Scriptures, when the Glory of God was manifested in the physical realm, people shook in fear, wailing and weeping over sin and completely undone at the total "otherness" of the Lord of Creation. Even the most holiest of people could barely stand up, let alone speak, yet here we have people grabbing their cell phones, talking etc. These are not actions of people who've seen the glory of God. If this "cloud" didn't come from the ventilation system....beware!!! For even Satan comes as an angel of light to deceive even the elect!

1 Corinthians 13:8 says that such gifts have been done away with.
2 Corinthians 11:14 says that the Devil can appear as an angel of light. I think what’s happening in the video is demonic, but dressed up to deceive people into thinking it’s supernatural and of God. Whenever Jesus or the apostles performed miracles, it was always with a purpose, usually to build up the faith of others. This scene seems only to impress and excite, not to build up faith in Jesus or Jehovah God.
It’s good to be aware of this kind of thing, though, so as not to be deceived. We’re going to see a lot more of this kind of stuff as the end draws closer.
