Sweet update. I just watched your older update and I got a chuckle seeing your extra tools that have gone missing. What I do is when I take something out of a drawer it never goes back in until the job is done. When I'm done with a job I wipe down every tool and put it back in its place. I have only lost one flashlight in just over a year wrenching as the new guy. If you really clean up that box you would have plenty of room to shadow foam all your tools like guys do in aviation. Then you'd be able to see a tool missing from a mile away.
I bought the mayhew 14074 and am happy with it. Havent had any issues, the large one is good for checking kingpins and the middle size is good for removing tires.
Love the update! As for the 3/8, I would go with Milwaukee Fuel. After owning a snappy 3/8 for 4 years, I never want to buy another snap-on cordless tool again. Milwaukee is the shit. Also, the 1/2 Ridgid high torque, is the most wicked impact gun I've ever used, if you're in the market for one
Heavy Equipment Tech here, I own the updated Snappy and the Milwaukee. I like both of them equally for different reasons. I will say though that if that 3/8 Snap-on impact wasn't the first power tool I bought from them, I would have none of the rest of their power line.
in 1983 I bought a Sears Master set of Tools with tool box for $2,500.00 that's what an empty Snap on box cost at the time .. Now I have a Cornwell Tool Dealer lives just down the street from me.. Quality seems to be pretty good and I suppose almost as expensive as Snap on .. My second Craftsman industrial Tool box is much larger and has roller bearing drawers which is a huge improvment ..
Industrial maintenance tech here…. I only typically work on SAE. No wonder you guys have to have such a big box having to use both MM/SAE. My US General 34” cart is all I need to do my job 👍🏼 but she’s full as shit.
Harbor freight sells those magnetic accessories for the outside of a box, they make one that is like a flat shelf with a lip around it around 1/2” give or take. I think it would fit at the back of your shelf that you keep roll lock discs on in your power drawer. If it would it would double the size of your shelf and better utilize that space. Not very expensive either
Just a thought. Maybe buy a separate metal locker for all the junk/ spare parts storage? That would give you more room for tools. The Milwaukee hands down. Also get some magnetic impact sockets, then you won't loose your nuts.
Great tour! I’d definitely go Milwaukee Fuel. I’m glad I didn’t go down the Snap On rabbit hole with their electric tools. For the cost of a Snap On 1/2” impact, I was able to outfit almost an entire set of Milwaukee impacts and ratchets including batteries and charger for both M12 and M18. Cheers 👍🏻
@@TheDieseldog I’m fortune as my company buys all the specialist tools, so I just need handtools mostly. It’s hard to find decent HGV techs in the UK now. What’s it like over there and where are you based ?

U came back with a second tour 🥺🥺 subscribed
Mayhew Dominator prybars man. They are the shiznit! And less dough than many lesser brands. Keep up the great work.

I got the 3/4 m18 fuel. It’s a beast
Sweet box. Luv the drawer layout
I want that box in teal.

Keep up the great work, I'm currently going to a career center for diesel mechanic, I hope it will land me an apprenticeship

Good info, I’ll check it out. Appreciate it 👍🏼

Very nice tour. Is that an IAMAW union sticker I see? Same union I’m in haha

That’s what I’m thinking.
@@TheDieseldog check out 3/8” angle impact driver. Looks sort of like an air ratchet but it’s an impact… OMG it’s amazing.
If you don't need those spark plug boot pliers anymore? What brand are they?
Snap on is mega money in the UK. What’s the price like over there
Too much. They are pricing themselves out of business. I’m still partial to snap on, but there are definitely good quality alternatives now days.

I feel like Milwaukee is reliable due to warranty but snap on is 2 years and Milwaukee is 5 years? I’m just saying
I have the same set up with the side locker
