Been listening to Cradle since Dusk. This band can do no fucking wrong! Cradle has helped me through some of the hardest times and has been my personal soundtrack for so many years. May their music never die.
TooLameToDie I love how COF puts comments in their cd covers, like "Cradle of Filth plays with themselves exclusively." They take their music seriously, but I don't understand people who keep trying argue they "are" or "are not" "black metal." Somewhere along the way, lots of folks got confused about the importance of music. They forgot how to enjoy, and think the main objective is to get stuck in a genre. People imitating each other, over and over. This band is creative- maybe not always successful as they would like to be- but good music adds to the quality of my life. The idea of Genres is a marketing ploy. Pigenhole the fans, then feed them what they think they want.
I know Cradle has changed.... but...., well, I still dig it. This video was exceptionally good! The music may not be as "hard" as it used to be(the good old days), but the visual power of this vid is right on target in my opinion. Emphasis "my opinion". Slayer or Pantera still wins in a cage match though, lol
Man I love cradle since Martin(the drummer) joined. Theyre faster, and heavier and more complex. And Martins just a genius behind the kit!!. And darkly is by far their best album to date.

I first became aware of the band when I was surfing for AC/DC T shirts for my niece and happened upon a "Cradle of Filth -Jesus is a Cunt" T shirt. I go fishing several times a year in the Deep South and wanted to avoid debating the " Jesus is a Cunt" thing, so I didn't buy the T shirt, but the band did somewhat exceed my expectations. Never met Jesus but I'm sure he's very nice and perhaps the band were just trying to be a tad outrageous.

I like Cradle very much (my first black metal band I've ever listened) but Dani should lose weight. About 10-15kg. He looks like chubby Edward Scissorhands :) Anyway great song!
The sound has evolved over the years, never keeping the same concept of sound from each album and its good that a band such as Cradle has survived for so many years while being able to keep evolving that sound. If you ask me, those who claim they aren't as good don't understand what it takes to keep writing and producing music for nearly twenty plus years.
SlamifiedBuddafied the word "evolved" is so stupid in this context. They sound exactly the same as they did when they hate Nick barker on drums, this is just good old cradle with a modern sound. Adrian slowed them down because he did not have the speed and finesse that barker and marthus have. Theyve de-evolved back into what they used to be...
Fair enough. I suppose it just sounds that way to me, just feels the band as a whole, despite changes in band members, has been pushing for something else over the last few albums. Admittedly, this song reminded me of Babylon A.D. to an extent.

Then you've got bands like Behemoth who came out of the same era as these guys, and they just keeps progressing and getting better. Just my opinion I love all three bands but Cradle has really just become uninteresting to me anymore. The female vocals on this song are just ridiculous!
J MetalSkinz well the point of all metal is to progress more and more, and anyone who says it is wrong is stupid, on the other hand COF moved to a more of a "gothic" themes today as opposed to the black metal influences early on. Dimmu Borgir is going to a more orchestral and symphonic vibe but still keeps the black metal in their albums. Behemoth was saved by the improvement in recording quality, if they stayed with the typical black metal quality, they wouldn't be what they are today

I respect your opinion but i totally disagree. COF are constantly reinvent themselves which to my opinion makes them better than most. Repetition sucks.
This is terrible! I swear Cradle has been getting worse as the years go by. Too bad because there are some great musicians in the band. The female vocals kill this song and the whole "Lilith Immaculate" part is fuckin stupid as well!

yeah they were. they've always been about being controversial. outside of the band however, they're pretty nice people.
