This really resonates. Leaving the past behind literally this last year... I moved 7 hours away from my entire family and even my daughter. The idea of family i had was a complete illusion. The betrayal trauma almost broke my spirit. I was gas light to the extreme when I refused to continue to go along with the dysfunctional conditioning. When they couldn't control me anymore they told everyone I was crazy. Thank you for all the validation that choosing myself and my safety was the right choice. I miss the relationship that was suposed to be with my adult daughter but I still pray for her from a safe distance. My husband and I have built a beautiful peaceful sanctuary in the mountains ❤

I live in Canada 🇨🇦 and moved from Ontario to Alberta in 2019 after my father passed away. It's 3000miles from family and friends. My family was toxic my mother was a narcissist and passed when she was only 60.(karma) I removed a narc partner from my life in 2022 after I had a heart attack and he refused to call 911. I have been no contact with him for 22months. I'm healing alot of past trauma, really turned a corner recently. Looking forward to making new friends ,I'm retired. I'm close to the mountains and boy are they a healing religious experience. I go visit the mountains when ever I can to ground myself. Wishing all who are on the journey of life love and healing light and a wonderful 2025.
Last night I had a dream where me and my twin flame were traveling somewhere in a van with other people in it. Suddenly we stopped and most of the people got out and with them my twin flame. Only a couple of us remained in the van and we continued on. I looked back at my TF and he was looking at me. "This is where we part ways, ha?" That's what I thought, and he looked at me sadly but with acceptance. I've known him all my life, we grew up together, but our journey came to an end because I gave up all the traditional beliefs we grew up with, and he chose to stay true to them. So much so that she's been playing on my history of food trauma. Chaos in the kitchen. No good witchin' when there's bitchin' in the kitchen. And this does have to do with my twin flame journey because I am seeing that I landed in the house of a flying monkey. A flying monkey from 2019 who got so extremely pissed and outraged (another narc from old school) over my twin flame journey. Now this one is acting the same way. Now we're back at the Circle K and strange things are afoot. I didn't know going back to high school was part of the plan. But here I am. It sucks. Just wow, many relatable instances in this 60 yr old Leo's life/world. Too giving of myself to everyone throughout my life, which caused 'my own' loneliness/heartache. Most recent being my twin son naming 1 of his twin babies (due in March) after his girlfriends mother, my name nowhere (my twin sons names have both their grandfathers' names as their middle names). My son's & I have always been very tight, loving & supportive throughout their 32 yrs of life. I'm nothing but a crumb in this son's life since the gf dictator entered his life less than a yr ago. I never realized how little I actually loved myself. Yes, I would raise my children differently. Live & learn tough love! Haven't been too good at that either~
I feel you completely! A 60 year old Leo with a nearly 32 year old son. He and his wife have not allowed me in their life since they married and now have my 2 year old grandson withheld from me also. So many times as seekers I think we might be hard on ourselves and think the discomfort of transition has to do with wounding. Clarissa Pinkola Estes speaks to membership in the Scar Clan. Perhaps there are teachings under the scars or perhaps those scars get irritated when they continue to heal. And there is nothing there so earth shattering to face. But the memories of what those wounds taught us long ago. The purpose of their calling to us, once again, is the need to bring forth to the forefront of memory lessons learned when the wound was fresh. To apply those lessons in the future coming path. I think we are always remembering possibly that is where wisdom is birthed.

My 35 year old daughter was the one who told me I had to leave my son's wedding. Trying to heal this grief has been next to impossible. I know there is a higher reason though. One can't learn unconditional love without experiencing its opposite.

So many times as seekers I think we might be hard on ourselves and think the discomfort of transition has to do with wounding. Clarissa Pinkola Estes speaks to membership in the Scar Clan. Perhaps there are teachings under the scars or perhaps those scars get irritated when they continue to heal. And there is nothing there so earth shattering to face. But the memories of what those wounds taught us long ago. The purpose of their calling to us, once again, is the need to bring forth to the forefront of memory lessons learned when the wound was fresh. To apply those lessons in the future coming path.
I think we are always remembering possibly that is where wisdom is birthed.
