- Many SoCal residents drove up to higher elevation viewpoints in hopes of seeing the Northern Lights, a rare sight caused by a geomagnetic storm. Christian Cazares reports for the NBC4 News on May 11, 2024.
Welp the past night was disappointing :( No sight of them in SoCal. Went up the San Bernardino mountains around 11pm-1am (Saturday night into early Sunday morning) and doesn't look like it made it here tonight.
Huge bust last night, though I did get a few still frames of one burst of color about 10pm. After that, NOTHING.
Do you think tonight the northern lights will be seen ?
Wow...what's a pretty New Era....😀👍💖
The Norhern lights are carried around by wind currents, its really hit and miss. It's kind of like the solar wind of Heaven. One of Gods energies.
I don't think people understand that when they're saying there's solar storm It's not a good thing And so people Interpret It as the A sightseeing Aurora
Cool
We went to Yucca Valley and didn't see anything but normal stars.
I wish they have this in San Diego. Because we don’t see northern lights in our city.
The Los Angelans are so lucky.
Crazy to see so many teslas in 1 area
