Rige1997 Loki was a woman, when s/he was resurrected after the Ragnarök event, in the comics. Had a pretty good thing going for her, until the movie came out and the gender-swapped back.

I think Vision will come back. When Shuri realized she was being attacked, she quickly turned around and pressed some buttons before defending herself. I think she was backing up his consciousness, making a digital copy of him if you will. Plus I don’t think it would be fair to tease the relationship with Wanda if they do indeed bring her back and not him. Those two and Spider-Man were the only deaths I really cared about, so I hope they make it.

Not so easy. From what we´ve seen up till this film you have to focus Time Stone power´s right at the same place where whatever (or whoever) you want to rewind/undone was at that moment. Loki and Heimdall were in space, in a ship that is no more at a location extremely difficult to find with any degree of accuracy.

Gamora is trapped in the soul stone, she's alive. The Russo Brothers confirmed her to be alive.
But Gamora, Vision and Loki have easy loop-holes. Heimdale is the only certain death imo.
The resurrection of Gamora makes the most sense than all of the other characters. Gamora has the strongest ties to the soul stone. She died near the soul stone. The soul stone primary ability is to contain souls and resurrect someone back to the living. Added to the fact that Thanos is very attached to Gamora and never wanted her dead in the first place.
So yeah, if Thanos want to undo those deaths in Avengers 4, Gamora would be his first choice. It would also be a choice that Starlord or Nebula would want.
I would love Vision to comeback but without his humanity, without his love for Wanda. That would be sad and could make her finally snap.

Her powers in the comics have always been undefined too, she’s a hard 1 to peg down.
Eve LaLah in the comics she's always had her "Hex" power which is minor reality warping. It's called "Alter Probabilities". It has evolved into major or extreme reality warping.
I think we could see Chthon in either Avengers 4 or Doctor Strange 2. From what Feige said, he maybe is the source of her power. The Mind Stone gave her the means to access that power, but it did not power her.
This is odd for me because i think Zoe Saldana easily gave one of the best performances of the movie damn she will end up killing Thanos

Still, I really think the original team will die fighting to reverse the snap deaths. Therefore, everyone who died by dust is coming back, and maybe Gomorra. In exchange, the original six are on the chopping block with Thor having the best odds of sticking around. Last Son of Asgard, and all that lol.

i don't get this obsession with Miles Morales..he's a good character but Feige has already said many times that they are focusing on Peter and building him up in the MCU so it makes zero sense for them to introduce Miles, especially since peter himself is still just getting started and a teen. his powers are still developing and we haven't gotten to see his full potential. Generations of fans know peter as spider-man. Miles doesnt even have half of that following yet. no way a miles would do better at the box office than peter so even financially it wouldnt make sense. i wish you'd stop pushing this narrative

I really strongly disagree with you on your view of how they 'fridged' Gamora. I think this was her strongest movie, she and Thanos were really the only two characters to get character development. Before Infinity War I wouldn't have cared if she died but everything that was shown with her here made me love her.
She was shown as not just a hardened woman with little emotion she was complicated in ways we never saw. Her breaking down and crying when she thought she killed Thanos, her built up feelings for Quill she couldn't put on hold any longer, and even after all of these years she had no idea that Thanos had the ability to love anything, let alone her.
As much as this movie made me love Gamora, I hope she doesn't come back. Her death scene was so strong emotionally for so many characters and viewers that I think it would honestly be insulting to undo it.
I dunno. Like I guess it was good that her death was so tragic, but it's so tragic that I'm not sure they should keep it. I mean she was basically killed by her abuser for his own gain after struggling for so long to escape his shadow. That's pretty dark stuff.
It being tragic shouldn't be a reason to reverse it. Tragic things happen. It was a beautifully tragic scene but the scene will never be as good at it is now if she is brought back to life.

I agree with this, but I thought Gamora was strong before Infinity War. I loved her stuff with Nebula in both Guardians movies. I never saw her as nothing more than Peter Quill's love interest. She's had plenty of action scenes, and I liked all of them. I thought see was badass, and I wouldn't want to get on her bad side. I wanted to feel stuff in Infinity War, but I felt nothing. I loved the movie, but I couldn't help thinking that it all would end up being undone anyway, so what's the point on investing in any of the deaths? Somebody better stay dead, and somebody better bite it in Endgame, otherwise I just don't know how much longer I'll buy into the story.
Gamora's my fave female MCU character but I hope her death is permanent. Compared to the others, her death felt ceremonious and served as plot points; likewise Vision's. Her death could also shake up the stage for the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' sequel.
Agreed. Nebula could so easily step to Gamora’s role too. But I kind of assume the plot for Guardians 3 is some way they go to bring back Gamora like Pirates 3 but for most of the film. One reason is because Gamora was the love interest and it would be very awkward if Nebula would take that role and there really isn’t other options. And I don’t know if they are daring enough not to have any romance.

I think you have it backwards about Gamora. SHE is the one who learns to feel because of Star-Lord. Star-Lord is quite comfortable in his own feelings, despite the blustering bravado.

Massively disagreed on Loki. If it's not Tom Hiddleston, I don't want to see the character. He brings so much charisma to the role and could easily be made darker if need be. Also, him and Chris Hemsworth have genuine on screen chemistry (which was one of the few good things about the first 2 Thor movies).
I think they should only bring back the people that turned to ash in the end. They are the one who were "killed" by the gauntlet, so it could bring them back... If Feige wants to keep it simple, that's what I would do.

No it isn't. Principal photography on Avengers 4 and Avatar 2 is already finished. Guardians 3 (2020) , Avatar 3 (2021). That's one movie a year.
Even if both studios take her it's not like they can't build a script that just utilizes her for a few weeks to film. She can do both and will. Marvel will just have to use their time wisely with her. No one's gonna die in this movie which makes the movies high stakes non existent.

But, I remember in the comics Loki being decapitated by Baldur, and coming back saying he had used plenty of magic to avoid being killed. But I'd prefer if he was gone; with no Asgardians to rule, what's the point of him?
Oh I definitely think Gamora will come back, Zoe let slip that she would be in the next Guardians which takes place after infinity war, and I really don’t think they’ll be flashbacks. I do think Adam Warlock will be involved in her resurrection due to the hinting of his appearance at the end of vol 2.

Philp Tsanov - That's a great idea, after the success of Thor: Ragnarok Marvel will definitely want to use the character again. Instead of bringing up issues by having a fourth Thor instalment, have him continue with the Guardians of the Galaxy (That dynamic was brilliant in Infinity War)
It will be Avengers 4 with the actual deaths that matter. Like Captain America, Drax, T'Chala, Hawkeye, and probably some more. I have a strong feeling, that Shuri will take on the mantle of Black Panther

Drax might get trapped in an Infinity Gem and be off the board for a while. Maybe not.
They need Hawkeye to ground everything, and Wind River was good, but Hawkeye needs to keep working.

When I listen to you out of the select reviewer channels on RUclips I watch, I feel like Stark and Banner meeting in Avengers 1 -- "finally, someone who speaks English." I'm not sure how some of the missed opportunities and fumbles of Infinity War eludes other channels I won't name.

Matthew i think that was just Thanos being surprised by how strong cap was. He was'nt expecting that from a human. I think cap will die Iron man might retire and marry Pepper, Bucky becomes the white wolf and Sam becomes new Cap.

My answer is actually two - Gamora and Loki. Those are the two deaths that should be permanent because otherwise it hurts the story overall.
I agree with what you said about the doctor strange sequel, it would be the perfect place for scarlet witch to master her powers and perhaps put boundaries in for her so she isn't limitless
I don't really like the idea of Doctor Strange teaching Wanda (They both seem to have a pretty different power set)
However I wouldn't mind if Strange was the one who confirmed that Wanda uses uses magic by pulling energy from another dimension (like Strange does) It could be revealed that she pulls energy from the Chaos realm and that's where she learns Chaos magic, and her and Strange go on a dimension hopping adventure.

I think Thanos "deaths" are more like they have all been stored into the soul stone. I think the only likely deaths are Loki, Heimdal and Gamora. I really dont want Loki to be dead, i hope he tricked Thanos.

Wrong on all the asgardians being killed on the ship. Thor himself mentions 1/2 were killed while talking to the guardians. Thanos doesn’t blindly kill, he kills half. Same likely happened on the Nova Corps home planet of Xandar.

for me a step too far would be to bring all of the characters who were killed before thanos snapped his fingers (the most notable ones being: Gamora, Loki and Vision) i think that everyone who were "dusted" are going to come back, but i think that bringing back the one who naturally died (or naturally murdered i guess) is too far.
honestly i think that the fact that the "dusted" characters are going to come back is so obvious that it kind of took me out of the movie and made me feel not even a little sad about it (even my little sister who is 10 wasn't phased by these deaths) the only death that legitimately made me get a little emotional (tough granted it wasn't a character i liked so it wasn't too much) was when Gamora died... so i think that at the very list they should keep the ones who were killed before the snap dead
I mean ... Vision likely survived in one form or another due to whatever the hell Shuri managed to do before she got knocked the hell out. She clearly finished something before she turned around to defend herself, which remains a plot point that was never really resolved by the end of the movie.

Hmm ... I mean the "dusted" characters chances of coming back are pretty good, so we'll just ignore them for the moment. I'd say Visions chances of surviving in some "form" are fairly decent because Shuri did something for him before she got knocked out. Gamora has a chance to come back due to whatever soul stone magic is goin on, but who knows? Loki's hardcore dead, Heimdall is Hardcore dead. Beyond that ... I'd guess that Nebula, Cap, and Iron Man have the "highest" death chance in the next move; followed by Thor (depending on what goes on with the Asgardians) and Hawkeye. Hulk could die I guess, he doesn't really have a character Arc going on atm. Beyond that, I can't see Rocket or Rodey croaking ... and Widow (who knows?)

CardButton bam, you just said my theory, even though no one is going there. It's the anniversary of the first movie and the originals are going out with a bang to undo the act of the gauntlet. They will be sacrificed in order to restore all the dusted denizens of the universe.

Based on the rumours that the next Avengers movie will take place a couple years after Infinity War, I'm thinking we may get to see a bunch of new characters step up to take on the empty mantles and titles of the lost heroes in their absence. Imagine Shuri running around as the new Black Panther, Miles swinging through the streets as the new Spider-Man and Rocket, Nebula and Thor fighting intergalactic threats as the new Guardians of the Galaxy. This would allow Marvel to establish a bunch of new characters and story-arcs without having to bring everybody back right away. Then, even if the original Avengers do manage to reverse time and bring back everyone who disappeared, at least fans got a chance to see what it would be like if these characters were embodied by new faces (even for a short period) and it would serve the idea that even when the world seems darkest, there will always be heroes.

I guess I draw the line at Loki, Heimdall and original Vision. Those can't come back. I will understand if Shuri saved him, and he can in some way be "recreated", but it has to change him/have consequences on his behavior and relationship to Wanda.
I would genuinely really love if they actually had the guts to keep Gamora dead. I doubt it though.
As for all the "dust-deaths", of course T'Challa and Peter Parker can't be dead. So I would like for it to "stick" for a while, for the world to deal with half of population dead for a while (time jump ?), but I get (and want) for them to come back.
Also side note, I agree Grace. Thor is now my fav Avenger with Peter, T'Challa and Tony. Team Iron Man forever haha. (I also really like Doctor Stranger in IW, but I don't like his movie.)

You left out the deaths amongst the black order. The members really seemed shortchanged in development and character compared to their comic book counterparts.
Did we really expect anything different in this film though, that has so much to cover as it is.
(I went into Avengers: infinity War expecting the Black Order to be completely shortchanged, but I was actually pleasantly surprised to see how much they were used)
It's not like they had much more development in the comics tbh, at least within the Infinity event. They were always just going to be mini-boss level minions.
