I didn't know he had produced David Essex and Leo Sayer...I understand as a younger man his generation of singers were eclipsed by the beatles and other bands of the mid sixties ...good on him for walking away and reinventing himself. He was my heartthrob when I was 17. I worked in Acton and he bought his mum a shop in Acton vale . We used to see his speedbird parked outside but I never saw him.
Bob Harris is a total opposite to the showbizzy interviewers like Jonathan Ross and his unobtrusive approach was to get guests to relax. Adam Faith related a lot of interesting details of his life and interesting that he managed Leo Sayer whose early stuff I liked a lot.
