    I was waiting for explanation of this 2000 years aged pagoda. But your guest guide was just waving her hands and pointing her fingers. What a guest guide. Worth it?

    I have been to this island pagoda many times as I would take my overseas friends who came to visit me when I was working in Bangkok. All of them were quite impressed with this unique place of worship. But the number one attraction for them in Myanmar was the Shwedagon pagoda in Yangon.

      Yes indeed, the people in Myanmar take their religion very seriously. This is what Myanmar is all about, the impact of Buddhism on the daily lives of everybody in the country, both young and old.

      @@chosett And the other religions?

    • @chosett
      @chosett 4 года назад +1

      @@JazzFunkNobby1964 Although Myanmar is a predominantly Buddhist country, all the major religions are practiced there. In the center of Yangon, the nations largest city, a Christian church, a Muslim mosque and a Buddhist pagoda are all within a stone's throw of each other. A Hindu temple is also in the same vicinity. Besides the Buddhist religious holidays, Christmas, Eid Mubarak (for Muslims) and Dewali (for Hindus) are all public holidays.

    Hello .. Thank you for sharing your amazing vlogs for introduction of Yangon. I have never visit Yangon but I'm planning to do someday. How do you hire an English speaking guide to tour around Yangon or other part of Myanmar ? How much do they charge? Thank you 🙏🙏🙏

    The island’s area is very limited, they should build a seven,or nine stories tower look like Mahabodhi pagoda, and people can climb to the top and have a view of the river.

    Thanks for sharing! Nice place except for the lack of maintenance. Maybe they should have used some of the money they get to wash and paint here and there.
