I have quite a few Alexandrias in my collection, both clones/dupes and originals. They really have some solid originals like Cacao Dreams and Hafez 1984.
That 40 knots surprised me in a good way. Definitely would not label it an aquatic lol. Kind of elegant making it occasion specific. Great addition to my collection.
40 Knots is lovely. I'm sad that I can't seem to find the time to wear it as much as I'd like. Wulong Cha is my favorite green fragrance of this year; I'm intrigued enough to try out the X version at some point.
I can absolutely see the original ideas you put into your videos. You’re doing such a great job putting originality in such a saturated market. Keep it up big dog
I am so in love with Moustache .. my dad finished my first bottle …that’s how good that stuff is.. I have tuxedo as well .. they both will forever stay in my collection
Siesta is so slept on, definitely a hidden gem. When i first smelled it i was like woah! That honey and lemon kinda reminds me of a glazed lemon cake. I love it and so happy for something unique.
I found a new Or Encens at a good price and also blind bought it as I am a big fan of many Issey fragrances and L'eau D'Issey was my first fragrance love back in the early 2000s. The bottle will probably last me forever as I rarely go to the formal events where it will shine. I think it was the first fragrance that made me less fearful of rose prominent fragrances for men. I also really like Black Bird from Untamed Perfume, but I probably will not buy Black Bird as I find I'd wear it at the same kind of event/occasion as Or Encens. But for anyone who can't get Or Encens, I'd highly recommend sampling Black Bird for a nice sultry rose forward evening/formal scent. The Black Bird might even be a little easier for younger men to feel confident wearing and is a touch more unisex. Both are solid quality, dark and sultry.
YES, 40knots is something really special, it's actually my first niche fragrance bottle I purchased, but I sampled it first and wore it for at at least 1 year before I pulled the trigger. It might feel like it's a spring/fall/winter fragrance...but I went ahead and used 5 sprays of this in 36 degrees Celsius, and guess what, I don't remember choking anyone with it. Well, if I did, I wouldn't know 😂😂 I also bought Moustache EDP last week....but I just can't resonate with it. There is something quite dirty and green in there, it's a little edgy. In a weird sense, its fruitineas reminds me of Mancera Cedrat Boise. Thanks for the awesome list Justin, your content is top notch.
Hey Justin, what about doing a video of 7 fragrances that the presentation made you think one thing and the fragrance was another thing? It would be nice to hear your opinion on that 😀
I really liked this video a ton! I have not tried all of them, but I have tried 40 knots, and I'm still a little bit perplexed by it. I think I need to give it a few more wearings to try to really understand it. It's so strong, and the notes are different from what I usually reach for- I feel like it will get better than the more I dig into fragrances. I love rochas moustache! Especially as a tuxedo adjacent fragrance. It is wonderful and your description of it is excellent! I really want to try the Ramon monegal line, I hear that some of their Oud fragrances are awesome as well! Really want to try saja, sounds wonderful! 😁
Wulong Cha blew me away as a blind buy looking to try more tea fragrances. Wulong Cha X seems like something I might have to get for the wife. You and Sebastian may have convinced me. I trust your noses and you broke down the scent the same way.
I recently got amwage 45 after buy decants for years i love this stuff it is how a man should smell in my opinion its the only fragrance that really last till the next morning on me next to Carlisle its definitely a fragrance for life and Ani them 3 my cheapy will always be bandb the one wife loves it
At first sniff I hated 40 knots. Then, after another few tries, I got crazy about it and bought a 100ml bottle. Just to hate it again after another few wears. Maybe it grows back on me again let’s see.
Very Interesting video. I had seen your review of Caron's Aimez-Moi about a year or more ago and was very interested. Boy was I surprised! They had all the Caron perfumes including their niche collection and I smelled at least 5 including the original, Yatagan, 3 tobacco based scents from their niche as well as the musk based one. In addition I smelled Liquide Immaginaire's Bouver de Vent, but Aimez-Moi was the most unique smelling and exceeded what I expected. I think I made a bunch of silly faces :) and ended getting the 75 ml bottle. Speaking of Spanish houses Loewe Escenthia the original did that for me! Too bad they changes the bottle and the scent..
Got Or Encens about a year ago bc i knew it was rare and Issey frags are very unique. It blew me away. Still love it but i cannot find the right way to wear it. Amazing though
DAMMIT JUSTIN! Now I muusssttt get that Mustache EDP, after listening to you for the Last couple years, I just KNOW when you’re truly feeling a fragrance. Your taste rarely fails me bro! Thanks for the great content 🔥
Random question... do/did you ever let bottle size continuity of a collection affect what size bottle you purchase? Or do you typically opt for the smaller sizes now regardless?
Hey Justin , I was curious what are some niche houses you would recommend someone to check out , I only havd experience with MFK, amouage , pdm , creed , and xerjoff. My eye has been on checking out some roja and fragerence du bois
So with gucci intense oud being done, what would you reccomend that would be very very close to the notes, profile, quality and performance. Equal to if not better, any price. Oud, amber, warm spice, red fruit, smoky, rose, ambergris
I hear the term quality very often, yet I have some problems actually understanding the term. Quality in terms of what? Ingredients? Blend? Performance? What does it mean to you?
It may be different for different people. For me, it’s a combo of some of what you already inquired about, and a little more. The blend of the ingredients. The way the scent feels entering the nostrils. The nuances of certain notes dancing in and out of perception.
For some reason, i came across this perfume as a suggestion from a female reviewer whom i want to listen to. Seeing it made your list now makes it easier to blind buy this 😅
I'd recommend getting samples of both. They are so different that they cannot be compared. Depends on your taste and the function you're looking to fill.
I tried liking 40 Knots but it's just horrible on my nose. All I can smell is a nuclear, incredibly strong coca-cola-ish fragrance. I would never ever want someone close to me wearing this in spring/summer, I would rather get shot on the knee. If it was toned down (like 4 hours into the drydown), I'd probably enjoy it, but still give it a 5.5/10.
40 Knots grew on me fast. Clean, classy and chill. Great fragrance.
I got 40 knots too, a bit feminine in my opinion, still great though
Feminine? Where are you living bro, planet of the apes?

I find it all season wear regardless of the occasion. Been wearing it as a signature daily frag for a month now
Breezy Summer nights on the town. Slightly dressed up. Bring it on vacation. Ect.

I've blind bought Hacivat & Naxos. Absolute W for both.
Good ones
Hacivat is incredible

40 knots is one of my best discoveries for this year. I absolutely love it. I was surprised how smooth and attractive it smelled.

"40 Knots" is a really good smelling fragrance. So glad I added it to my collection. A must have!
I agree the wulong cha x is more rounder and waxy❤ i prefer it than the og wulong cha.

I'll consider it!
@@stayfreshproductions great my friend, thank you for your content, you are the best.
Very interested in Siesta
Scent of Woods Praline in Maple. Blown away on how good it is. If you haven't smelled it yet, you should.
Even the name blows me away 🤯💥

Bro that WULONG CHA X IS A BANGER 🔥🔥🔥 summer/spring fo sho 😎
Great video and I enjoyed it and I like Xerjoff 40 knots and I'm going to try the other fragrances and have a blessed day
Love 40 knots! Need to get a new bottle soon.

JC, back with another great video! Always good seeing you fam! The Saia looks like another banger!! I'll check that one out!!
Thank you Philip!
Try Egyptian King. Another Alexandria fragrance Original that deserves an insane amount of hype in the niche world.
Please do a Moustache vs Tuxedo comparison. I have Tuxedo but I hear different things. It's redundant its not redundant.
Redundant. I smelled both and they are identical. Performance may differ but they smell the same
Not identical to my nose but definitely the same ball park. I actually prefer moustache edp tbh
@@i-am-mj thank you
@@ukguy thank you
Definitely redundant. They are not 100%. Not even close. But they are similar.

Thanks bro 🎉🎉🎉
Brother always great content 😊
I appreciate that!
What would you recommend for a summertime scent, that's a reasonable price the $100 range or less, but performs
Videos on fragrances like that coming later
Hi Justin Plz do a review on Byredo's Slow dance, when ever you have a time.
Lots of love from 🇩🇰

Sometimes I do! I prefer continuity, but it ultimately won't stop me from getting something I really want.

My eye has been on checking out some roja and fragerence du bois
Just check out guerlain they are way more worth it and provide the same quality and more originallity than roja or fragrance du bois
Any of the niche houses in this video that you haven't tried, I'd recommend trying!

You should try some from Lorenzo Pazzaglia. Very underrated house.
I have a couple from them.

It all sounds like some great stuff
Which one would you recommend more? 40 Knots or Mefisto?
I'd recommend getting samples of both. They are so different that they cannot be compared. Depends on your taste and the function you're looking to fill.
Tumbs up for Moustache and 40 knots, not familiar with the other fragances
Can you please review both Kingsley Heath fragrances for men. I haven't seen anyone reviewing them on YT
Not familiar with it
I just picked up Wulong Cha on April 2 while @OsmePerfumes , in Miamiand i picked Ramon Monegal Siesta, at the same time... great stuff
I love the Sims music, nice touch 😂
😆
Layer the wulong cha and Mont Blanc individual
I’m loving some of these, too. This is not an endorsement of blind buying though 😂
😆
Alexandria GameTime is great
Try maydan by Loumari ❤
Believe it or not, Or Encens gives me 40 Knots vibes.
I wanted to love 40 Knots but I started to smell baby powder and could not get over it.
Omg a video that didn’t have pineapple vintage synthetic getting thrown down our throats, NO DIDDY😂
I received a sample of Saja and its on my “next purchase” list. It’s so seductive and sensual. ❤❤❤❤
It really is!
Have you smelled Loumari Porthole?
Not yet
Or Encens is sensational
Or encens is “orh ohn sohn”. S at the end is not pronounced.
Now that's no way to be memorable.
@@stayfreshproductions not sure what that means
@@jlehm sharing only criticism with a stranger does not make you memorable.
@@stayfreshproductions it’s not criticism. I think the fact you viewed it as negative vs as helpful says more about you than it does me…
Why you never talk about Arabian Oud?
There are hundreds of brands I never talk about. Because I don’t have them

Um…what are you talking about?
I bought the 40 knot as a blindbuy and I'm selling it. I don't like the perfume at all.
It grows on you due to it's nuances. It's truly a fragrance journey
