Maybe! I have an 09 motor & forks on mine, and the YZX gearing, and build my motors with low compression and tight squish. I've helped set up other YZ's to run the same. If I got a newer 250, it'd be for the low hours and fresh everything. Not going to gain any performance over mine.

And a fresh piston and rebuild shock... Hassled him all afternoon about it, will do the muffler for him at this point so I don't have to hear it !
And do you do you think you'll ever buy a 06 or newer Yz with the aluminum frame and SSS Supension?
