Dr Pepper is more popular (in the US) than Pepsi for sure, but Coke is the usual because us (Americans) use Coke as a mixer for hard booz. Rum & Coke, Whisky & Coke, etc...nobody really uses Dr Pepper as a mixer. The OG formula had prune juice and was used as a stomach relaxer/laxative Lol if you can imagine!
Interseting, I can see why that would be, most people would have Coca Cola, but Dr Pepper would be something different. while Pepsi is just bad tasting Coca Cola.
I used to drink it back when I worked for Franklins in the 90's.
I absolutely was addicted to the stuff.
Like a caramelised malty sort of coke....hard to describe accurately now after so many years.
I'll have to hunt a carton down now as 1 was never enough 🤷♀️😂.
Nice review Mike!
Edit: forgot to answer grrrr.... I'm from Straya born in the 'Gong....& I would absolutely choose Doc Pepper over any other brand of dark malted-style soft drink 👍
I have never really seen it for sale here, but then again I don't think I have ever looked for it either, found this while looking for energy drinks.
You're probably younger than me & it disappeared after a decade or so. I'm 61....Dr Pepper may have been before your time lol @@MikesManCave
@@bushbeachlifestyle6721 You are bit older then me, but I happen have worked at Franklins from about '84 to '87, they never had Dr Pepper, well I don't remember them having it back then.
I was friend's with a lady who worked in the drinks aisle so she'd show me anything new that came in. I was hooked on the first one. I worked at the Coffs Harbour store from '92-99.
