Yes! Absolutely should be able to cast this fly with your 6wt! This fly is now available in 3 colors! Please swing by the shop and grab a handful! (link for the fly and materials is in the bio)
Solid tutorial. Ive has issues with how much craft fur to use. Ive made flies that looked good on the vise but slicked down much to thin when the get wet. Looks like the chenille you used here would help keep the fur bulked out
Adding the chenille in definitely increases the bulk and allows it to retain a little more of its shape. Another option is to use a small amount of hackle to add some bulk.
This gives me anxiety so deeply. I have two children who both SEVERELY sleep walked as children. My husband and I lived in a highrise in Buckhead/Atlanta with our children. I woke one night to a sound and found my then 8 year old daughter on our 8th floor balcony. I nearly had a hear attack. I couldn’t understand how she managed to get both the 6’+ high Charlie bar open AND the slide lock we had installed for extra security, but she did! My husband that very morning cut a broomstick and wedged it into the door where even I could not open it. The only sliding door we had that was not equipped was OUR bedroom glass door because I knew I would hear my children enter the room. I was a very light sleeper. We also installed alarms on ALL of our doors. Our doorman also saw her walking in the hallway one night on camera and brought her back to our home. Once we had alerted staff to be on the lookout for them I slept better. He was a God send. The building had cameras and he was very diligent about watching. I try to never judge when slip out for this very reason. With one this little mom and dad need to invest in a slide lock and install it at the top of the door where little bit can’t reach
@@tylercasey1951 it's a silicone style fish head that you can put on the front of the fly and you use UV resin and a UV light to cure it. Then you add stick on eyes with super glue.
I think those fish masks or eyes could be a great addition! If you end up tying some up like this with eyes/mask tag me on twitter/instagram (@notonlytrout on both)! I’d love to see how it turns out for you!
@@tylercasey1951 I think @flytyjng5247 did a solid job answering that question - if you have any other questions or need more details, let me know and I’ll try and help answer them.
@@NotOnlyTrout Absolutely I will, It's gonna be awhile before I can get tying cause back in November someone decided to burn down the apartment house I was staying at and I lost 34 years of fly tying stuff. Thousands of dollars in fly tying materials and other stuff gone. But I'll definitely send pics when I'm able to.
Solid work, good job👏
Is it possible to cast this fly with an 6wt, like Scott Centric?

I don't know how this gave you anxiety - I hope that you have a better day tomorrow.
Adding eyes or a fish mask to this would make it killer.
What's a fish mask?
