    My greatest gift is realizing that I always seem to be in a rush or some kind of hurry which leads to so much unneeded stress or hidden anxiety...once I noticed that about myself I changed as a person...so much more patience and calmness...

      I'm very much like this. It's like I'm always thinking ahead instead of in the moment. Sometimes I believe it's because the particular moment is not all that great. I currently am not happy in the field of work I'm in. And doing that everyday takes a toll. But you're right, thank you for mentioning that, it may actually do me some good to keep that in mind.

      @@amyb7823 something else that may make sense...I think it's helpful to answer your own questions (why does this always happen,why do I feel this way ....)...and it's really important to realize that some feelings are just feelings,they don't always represent how you actually feel....some foods affect my moods and I've learned to recognize that and not react to the way they make me feel...for example too much sugar and carbs can make me feel bogged out of depressed...but those are just feelings and not my real attitude...

      Patience and calmness will help you handle any situation far better than an angry, uncontrolled mind.

    I just realized, I often re-live(reminisce) bad times in my life. I noticed just now that in remembering these moments I start to feel stressed and worried almost as if that situation was real now. I found out about stoicism about a month ago and I'm hooked. I realize I dont have to stress about my past. I wouldve been stressing out right now. I might go homeless again very soon. And I was homeless for a long time in my past. But this very moment, the "now" I have a roof over my head and bed to rest. I feel so lucky at the moment. Life on the street without a place to call home is very very difficult I pray I dont have to be homeless again. The stoic teachings helped me learn that I dont have to stress until it happens. I will practice these teachings. So grateful for your work posting these videos to better one self

    If anyone can answer this and give some advice would be very nice and thank you. If i put all my energy into a friend and they reciprocate it back to me seems like a really good friend that invested. However through time, if i see that they slowly distant themselves although i did nothing wrong, whether maybe it was my energy or positivity or moments of despair that maybe I’ve displayed should i let that person go because it may be a possibility that they were there for me for their selfish reasons and liking the energy i gave to them? Or were they there for me because they genuinely cared for the friendship? That’s something I’m currently dealing with 3 friends that are also friends with each other. It almost feels like I’ve been left out bc in some i don’t have the same interest as them. I’m not sure but some advice to deal with this would help…

  • @ryanp2416
    @ryanp2416 5 дней назад

    Using overly muscular imagery in stoicism videos can give the wrong idea about what stoicism is truly about. Stoicism focuses on values like wisdom, emotional resilience, and rational thinking-not physical strength or perfection. When content creators rely on hyper-masculine images, it risks misrepresenting stoicism by associating it with toxic masculinity and misleading viewers. This not only distorts the philosophy’s true focus but can also alienate those who might benefit from its teachings.
    For content creators, it’s crucial to understand that teaching a philosophy inaccurately or through misleading representations is dangerous and goes against stoic principles of truth, integrity, and self-awareness. Misrepresentation diminishes the accessibility of stoicism and undermines its inclusive, universal values. Stoicism teaches intellectual and moral growth, not shallow ideals of physical dominance. Creators should reflect this by choosing imagery that aligns with stoicism’s real teachings-helping viewers learn the philosophy as it was intended: a guide to inner strength and virtuous living.
    This video is as it should be.
