So if steel wires have failed, a few haphazardly bridged copper wires are going to be ok? There is a reason why copper wires are not used in tires, copper work-hardens and becomes brittle after just a few flexings. I would be surprised if the tire doesn’t blow out within a week.
Don't think it's copper. Looks like a heavy duty yarn. And these repairs hold a long time. It's from a truck or bus and they repair it to use on a tractor trailer or something comparable. It's cheaper for the farmers to buy these harvested tyres than to buy a new one. I saw a video were somebody used thick yarn to fix a tractor or excavator tyre and an aluminum form to rebuild the profile.

Only the bottom of the tire is flat, the rest if fine.

Yes, but unlike Australia, where I live, these people don't have the money to buy brand new tyres. If they get six months out of them, they did well.

Well it's Pakistan and a brand new tire would cost them their left nut so they gotta make do with what they got.
Also considering that the trucks barely travel above 50km/h due to the road condition, the tires weren't under as much wear and tear compared to comparable tire that's used in first world countries

how illegal is this.... i cant even put a plugg in my flat tire to drive home, this guy just "repaired" a giant hole and does not worry...
this tire will have balancing issues, it is more heavy on 1 side than on the other sides, it will start to "wobble"...

Don't understand this. He takes a good tyre, cut it creating a hole even though its fine, then patch up the hole he created?
The tire was cut. They could have did a better job showing the damage but seen tires cut like that before.
